Walcott expected to return in 4 weeks!!

Cesc 6 to 8 weeks..

Rosicky almost the same..

Arshavin gets number 13 shirt :| hope hes the unlucky13 for the rest of league not for us..

Actually he's getting the number 23 shirt last worn by a Mr. Campbell!

Wonderful coverage by ITV there! Going to break in the middle of a match and Everton score during the break!

I have to admit I turned off...I hate ITV so much for their football, I watched Minder but who goes to a break during a match that's like going to break during F1...wait...they did that :p

TF1 (french tv) do that too. Commercial break during F1 is really annoying, but they don't break during football.

Anyway, goof job Toffees. Always a pleasure to see Liverpool lose.

I thought Everton were very lucky to win tonight.

We had a setback after 15mins with Gerrard being injuried so we didnt control the midfield really after that. It was a really scrappy game overall with Everton being FAR the most dirtiest (like usual)

I thought the Lucas fouls were not that bad but Cahill and Pienaar both prehaps should of been sent off for serveral challenges but of course the ref was too far up Everton's street to do such a thing.

It's like Everton won the Champions League.......They will not win the FA Cup or anything else this season.

lucas had one hell of a lazy game, i thought he warranted both yellow. Don't be lazy and just stick your feet out...

but jeeeeeeeeeees, lose to everton :(

:pacifier:

Dan Gosling, Jose Baxter, Jack Rodwell are the ones for the future (Y)

Together with Lennon, Wilshere, Simpson, Walcott, Eagles and others.. the future looks great for English football..

The first foul Lucas commited was not a Yellow, i wouldnt even say it was a foul really, the second Yellow was so he should of still been on the field. The ref made some questionable decisions and most of them went the way of Everton.

Disappointed that we went out to Everton. We totally outplayed them at Anfield and really should of won then.

I think it's sick what the Everton fans gave Gerrard as he limped off. Sick is all i can say.

It happens in football and seeing as its a rivalry you couldn't expect less then that, it's a bit like if man utd was playing man city and ronaldo got injured and it was at eastlands they would wave him off.

Everton cheered like they had just won the league when Stevie got injured.

We did not play well at all though, but perhaps that can be put down to the having ten men, tired legs, no Gerrard and an unfit Torres in the team. Lucas yet again showed a lot of naiveity, but the first one was not a yellow card tbh.

As for the rivalrly, all you could hear was our fans singing all night, they don't know how to sing in that cess pit of theirs. Did anyone notice the socks coming onto the pitch? That was an organised attempt at ****ing them off (like we did with the Tesco bags), and it is because people from Kirkby (where their new stadium shall be), are known as 'sock robbers'.

He's a pro.. these ppl are supposed to know better before they stick their foot out..

i agree 100 percent, that is just a lazy play

Reds skipper Gerrard ruled out for three weeks

Liverpool have learned that Steven Gerrard's hamstring injury will keep him out of action for three weeks, after the player underwent a scan.

Steven Gerrard trudges off at Goodison Park

The skipper was forced off after only 16 minutes of Liverpool's FA Cup defeat at Everton on Wednesday night after feeling a problem and the club's title charge may now suffer a blow.

A club spokesman told Liverpool's website: "A scan today has confirmed a tear in the hamstring of Steven's left leg. He will be out of action for about three weeks."

He will miss the weekend trip to Portsmouth, and could be doubtful for the Reds' Champions League clash with Real Madrid on Feb 25; while he will not be involved with the England squad when they travel to Seville to play Spain on Wednesday either.

One of the reasons boss Rafael Benitez chose to sell Robbie Keane was Gerrard's ability to play behind Fernando Torres, who also looked jaded at Goodison Park.

Manager Rafael Benitez is aware of the significant role Gerrard has in the team but now expects others to step up to cover his absence.

"He is an important player for us. It is always more difficult to play without him,'' Benitez said.

"You can't change things so it is better to concentrate on the next game. We have some problems with injuries and Portsmouth will be tough so we need players with fresh legs.''

Benitez said after the match: "Steven was tired, and he gets injured. He was tired, too, at Wigan but when I took him off there everyone was saying he had to play every single minute of every match. Now you have seen the consequences.

"He asked to be taken off, you could see at Wigan he was struggling and the same thing happened here.''

Benitez also made a sarcastic reference to the fact England made Gerrard travel to London to assess a previous injury before accepting he was injured earlier this season.

He continued: "Maybe he will have go down to London again like last time for a scan to prove he is injured. That would be funny.''

^^ I think Liverpool can cope without Gerrard though.. it will be hard. But with Alonso and Mascherano in the middle.. its possible.

More abt Lucas.. I stick to what I said earlier.. his first yellow card was undeserved.. byut he deserved the second one for that foul and he definitely deserved the red for being so stupid and doing almost the same thing again.. and it was almost under the ref's nose.. he should've been more careful after the first card.. but as rajput said he was just lazy.. he let his team down..
