ok so I play TF2 randomly, but have really gotten interested lately. How can I find out my achievements and/or how much more I need to unlock things etc.. So I know what to work towards?

Click on "Achievements" in the main menu to check your, well... achievements. It's under "Character Info and Setup". ;)

Anyway, the Team Fortress 2 forums are quite slow. I assume a lot of people are over there to find out about the update's precise release time.

Like me! F5 spam, FTW!

EDIT: Ok, my index finger is numb. No more F5 tonight, I'm going to bed!

There is supposed to be a free to play day for this game, right? I preloaded this game but it wants me to purchase it. How can I play it for free this weekend?

Yes. The free weekend starts Thursday (today). It's only 8:03 PM EST right now. It's possible that it'll start later tonight, before 12:00 AM EST.

Got the update at 1.2mb/s, seems ok so far although it's a bit hard to play while being sniped or backstabbed :p

Atleast you can play. I managed to get it to download the update after 20mins of spamming it to do it, then when i get into the game i can't do anything else cause it wont connect to steam.

Sigh.. such fail steam is.

IDK what the hell happened, but apparentlly the update has screwed up my ability to join any server let alone the steam network(yet once in the game, it will connect to the friends list....)

i now get the error/disconnect: "Server is enforcing file consistency for this file: particles\water_dx80.pcf"

googling/looking around people have said find the file, delete, if you can't find it, then it's in the TF2 GCF file, which means to delete local content/the TF2 GCF file, and reinstall(as Validating apparentlly is totally worthless)....thing is i keep hearing other people having same issues since the update dropped....

any ideas?

    • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, Flip 8, Z Fold Wide: Everything you need to know The ONLY thing I need to know is the price, which I know will be way higher than I (and most people) are willing to pay for a phone... so basically nothing here I need to know. PS: Nice job getting that Apple reference to a non-existent and unrevealed product as "competition" in there. Cheque is in the mail.
