What do you mean by that? The ball has always disappeared within seconds of hitting a person, did they make it disappear instantly now or something?

You're probably right. One time I had a scout bonk me as a soldier, then five seconds later he bonked me again. It could be possible he picked up a stray ball from another scout... it was a while back so I can't remember clearly.

Wow, there is a bug that lets engies build unlimited amounts of buildings.....I joined a random server and had 5 sentries up before people started destroying them o.O

You sure you didn't join a troll server like 4chan's? :p

You sure you didn't join a troll server like 4chan's? :p

I created my own local listen server to test it out. It doesn't seem to work on all servers, first server I joined it worked fine, but I couldn't use it to build tele entrances (probably just because I do not know the build command too well), second server, I could build 3 sentries at once, but that was it.....an admin might have disabled the build command after I started doing it or something though, after those 3 got destroyed I couldn't use the build command on that server any more. Third server it just plain didn't work (but the admins there are quite active and probably added something to fix it, similar to the 2nd one I was on).

But still, I created my own server through TF2 and dropped like 4 sentries, so it was NOT a server mod in any way.

For sentries, open your console, type "build 2 0", drop the sentry, get metal, repeat with "build 2 1", etc etc. You can do the same thing with Dispensers (build 0 x) and teleport exit's (build 1 x) but I couldn't get entrances to appear. Would be awesome putting an entrance at each spawn exit leading to 1 exit, or multiple exits with 1 entrance and see if the game picks the closest or crashes. :p

Again, it may not work on all servers, but it does work on some and it does work without any mods.

w00t, started getting drops again earlier today (right after I made that post earlier complaining about not getting any). Got about 3 items then a hat drop - Brigade Helm!......

As pyro is one of my top 3 played classes, I am happy, but I do not know if it will be enough to replace my rubber glove. o.O

I just tried it on an empty server and it worked, you might want to edit the command m8 I don't really want to be getting pwned by engis with 8 sentrys

It will be fixed soon enough by Valve, besides, too late to edit that post anyway. Plus, if your on a server with any decent admins, people abusing it will be banned.

EDIT: Apparently you can also use the pain train along with 2 other soldier OR demo items to craft scrap metal, so no more waiting for 3 extra pain trains to craft them.

I just got a drop today so it looks like the cap was reset. It looks like this update brought back a lot of old bugs. The multiple sentries, dispensers etc. The invisible spy taunt kill bug is back, and earlier today I saw a spy running around with a toolbox getting ready to build a dispenser.

  • Fixed HUD damage indicators not appearing.
  • Fixed Teleporters not reverting to level 1 when their other side is destroyed.
  • Fixed receiving damage not causing view-kicks on players.

Anyone who played within 3 months of release gets a gold medal they can wear, anyone who started playing 3 months to a year after release gets a silver medal, everyone else gets a bronze.

http://www.teamfortress.com/119/

EDIT: Some are reporting that they got the wrong medal and the date it says they were "Hired" is wrong. Mine however is completely accurate (date and all) and, like some who claim they got the wrong medal, I have reset my stats a couple times in the past. So, there is either a bug giving out the wrong medals to some people, or the people complaining about it simply think they have owned the game longer then they really have.

The medal can also be worn by all the classes, the icon on it changes to match the class you are playing.

Good thing they rolled out this update. The engineers building multiple buildings was getting a tad annoying. Good to see that the backburner got its damage nerf reverted and fire afterburn from the flare gun restored.

Also I think the heavies move a tad too quick now while firing.

Ohhhhh:

To get the 2 hidden links on the blog, you're going to need to click "Engineer buildings" and "multi-core machines"! I smell a hint on TF2's future

120th will be the engi update?

I also "lost" my silver medal. When I checked earlier, I could wear the medal. Now, it is not there. Valve fixing things?

I don't know if I'll get one because I bought it at retail and registered the Serial through Steam. It doesn't show a date of purchase. Does anyone know when this is going to be fed out? I want my medals D:

Edit, read the side of the post, it says this.

* For the record, you couldn't have done it without us either... Without us you'd still be running around in de_dust. Just sayin'...

Counter-Strike 2 at E3?

Counter-Strike 2 at E3?

The medals are handed out based on when you first played the game so it doesn't matter how you acquired it. I hear this should be sorted out ...any minute now.

    • How about fire the guy who approved all the bad decisions? The guy who bought these studios in the first place? Oh wait, Satya is safe with his billions while the workers pay the price.
