A little prediction I have... The engie update will be out the week of May 31st.

How do I know? It's simple.. I will be in Vegas that week. Trust me, that's how it will be.

:shifty:

. I'm getting worried because I fly out to California come June 13th, and my play style is going to be crap from a week of not playing.

I play every. single. night. for an hour or two now. I've gotten my kick back and I'm really starting to enjoy it. I just wish I could find an east coast custom maps server.

I'm trying to play more Demoman to get rolling towards the "Tartan Spartan" achievement. That's gonna take a hell of a while, luckily I enjoy playing Demo.

Sort of the opposite with me, I do not like playing Demo, but I will to help take down some sentries that the rest of my team is unable to get. As little as I play demo though, on an average day for me, I can end up topping the server as demo, its really kind of annoying, as its not something I enjoy doing.

I hate the progress achievements, they're horrible.

Kollectivisation, Tartan Spartan, Out Damned Scot, Kilt in Action.

Also Banner of Brothers is HORRIBLE. So difficult to get 5 friends in the same server, at the same time, on the same team, near to each other, while you buff them.

Grr.

Thats one of the 2-3 soldier achievements I do not have. One tip to getting it though, is use it at the end of a round before it starts the next round and moves everyone back to the spawn. If you have 5 friends on your team, they will all respawn in the spawn room with you, and almost everyone in the spawn room will get the buff banner buff, allowing you to not have to worry about whether you are close to 5 friends or not.

I still haven't gotten it though, the most of my friends I have seen on at any one time was like 2-3.

Also look at the bottom right of this image, extracted from Gmod from the newest update. Yes that's a Lv.1 Sentry with a laser.

This post was breaking the thread, so I redid the formatting.

Maybe it has laser tracking that increases damage the longer it has a target? Or it locks its target faster with lower damage? Hmmm.....will definitely be interesting, maybe its a new sentry unlock to go with the P.D.Q (pretty darn quick engy unlock which builds faster but cannot upgrade)?

Interesting that it only has the L1 laser sentry icon......but knowing Valve they intentionally included it to up the hype.

Way to break the thread there Chasethebase  (You've triggered an IPB bug)

Nice to see custom weapons get kill icons, I wonder if/when they'll get taunts (also, the update was like 300MB, for 2 changed maps and some new icons?)

Really? I checked it when I posted it and it turned out fine. Odd... Would be easier if the forums had the live preview in the edit box (So you hit bold and instead of inserting the tags it makes the text bold as you write it).

But yeah, would love to see some new taunts, even if the Shiv gets the default Kukri one and the Skullcutter gets the Eyelander with no killing effect.

    • Given only Volume license customers and specific resellers can obtain the LTSC versions legitimately it seems likely that this has been tinkered with quite a lot!
    • Apple CEO Tim Cook confirms looming price hikes due to memory shortages by Hamid Ganji Image via Apple Memory and chip shortages have led to significant price increases for electronics over the past year, and it seems that more hikes are on the way for upcoming smartphones and computers. Apple CEO Tim Cook has confirmed that the company is planning to increase the prices of some of its products due to the ongoing memory and storage shortages. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Cook confirmed the looming price hikes for Apple’s future products, adding that “Unfortunately, price increases are unavoidable.” He also said the company is doing its best to “mitigate the huge increases that are being passed to us, and we’ve been trying to shield our customers from the increases, but the situation has become unsustainable.” The Apple CEO also noted that the allocation of a large portion of memory chips to AI companies has contributed to shortages in the market, resulting in lower supply at a time when demand for devices remains high. “We definitely need memory pricing and supply to return to reasonable levels for consumer products. That’s the bottom line,” Cook said. Cook also added that Apple is ready to use its vast cash reserves to help boost supply in the market because additional production capacity is needed. While he declined to specify how Apple plans to do that, he said the company will not build its own memory and storage factories despite its financial resources and silicon expertise. Cook did not provide further details on the scale of the price increases or which Apple products would be affected, though iPads and Macs could see higher prices sooner than other products. Apple’s next product launch event is scheduled for September, when the company is expected to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and its first foldable iPhone. It remains unclear whether the upcoming iPhones will be affected by the price increases, but given the current memory shortage, higher prices seem increasingly likely. There is currently no clear timeline for the end of the memory shortage. Samsung, one of the world’s three largest memory chip manufacturers, recently said the shortage could persist for several more years.
    • Downloads does not equal actual usage, even less when the app is pre-installed in some Galaxy phones.
    • +1000 to this, don't understand why they added that margin around the top bar, even the close button is a PITA to click without aiming. Ofc, this is just preview and hopefully they will revert such odd UX decision before hitting final version.
