Anyone with an idea of what happened here ...

Last night I was in a server and the screen froze for a few seconds, went black and then came back up and it was like this ...

Thought it was my video card crapping out because I've spilled water on the keyboard before (it's a laptop) but all my other games seem to work fine .. its just with TF2.

Have you tried this: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335 ?

Yeah that would be nice. I think Valve are hesitant to make another TC map though because of the bad rep that Hydra gets. I've never seen a map clear a server out quite like Hydra can sometimes. Would be great to see another Attack/Defend or TC map though.

Man, I liked playing Hydro back in the day. Although, I will admit that I haven't played a single game in Hydro since coming back to the game a few weeks ago.

Why are people on trade servers retarded? I wanted the monday night combat set, but don't really want the game since I already have too many games that I don't have time to play. So I'm in a trade server, offering 3-4 keys for the set. Someone opens up the trade window and puts up the MNC set asking for Bills hat. I say I don't have Bills hat, I only have keys and refined. He says ok, 8 keys then... I keep trying to tell him MNC is not worth 8 keys and he keeps insisting it is. So I put up 8 keys, just to mess with him, and tell him to please explain to me how a free bonus for a game that costs $15 that is still available, is worth $20 worth of keys. Yeah, he didn't reply

Hater's gonna hate

Even more promo items, and the art style can now be classed as having officially left the building, and travelled to another continent. This is for preordering Rift.

Axe is called 'Sharpened Volcano Fragment,' for the Pyro, same stats as Axtinguisher.

Stick is called 'Sun-on-a-stick,' for the Scout, same stats as the Boston Basher.

That headgear is for your character in Rift, available via an achievement in TF2 apparently.

500x_items.jpg

Those items completely destroy any remnants of the TF2 art style that TF2 used to have.... :/

I fail to see how the addition of these items ruins the artstyle further, they're a damn sight less intrusive than Unusuals or bright white bunny ears.

Let's not be reactionary here people; consider that we know that Valve are working on a new content release, and we have a new precendent in the form of promo items with unique stats.

Are they really unique, or are they a hint at what is to come? That's what interests me the most.

Another TF2 update has been released:

Updates to Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike: Source, Day of Defeat: Source and Half-Life 2: Deathmatch have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes include:

Source Engine Changes (CS:S, DoD:S, TF2, HL2:DM)

  • Further improved engine handling of server queries.

Team Fortress 2

  • Added Rift promotional items
    • New items: Sun-On-A-Stick and Sharpened Volcano Fragment.
    • New achievement: Riftwalker

[*]Updated several more models with optimizations and new LODs.

[*]Fixed seeing a partial health bar in the upper left corner of the spectator menu.

[*]Fixed the control point progress bar not being aligned properly when using cl_hud_minmode 1.

[*]Fixed the The Essential Accessories hiding the Scout's hat/headphones.

[*]Updated sounds for the Brass Beast.

[*]Updated the Scottish Resistance stickybombs to always glow if they will be detonated by a right-click, including the stickybombs under the Demoman's feet.

[*]Changed default crosshair to be more opaque, like the custom crosshairs.

[*]Fixed some missing surfaces on the bottom of the Pyro's mask.

[*]Fixed the assister's name not being listed in the Fish humiliation and kill notices.

[*]Fixed the Force-a-Nature not drawing correctly in the character loadout screen.

[*]Engineers who hit teammate's sentry guns with their wrench now get kill assists from that sentry.

    [*]Made the Jag gift wrappable.

[*]Fixed seeing a badge on the player when a noisemaker is equipped.

[*]Fixed particle effects on the Hustler's Hallmark.

[*]Added FCVAR_DONTRECORD flags to 'bind,' 'bind_mac,' 'unbind,' 'unbind_mac,' and 'unbindall' so they can't be recorded into a demo (fixes having your keys changed when you watch a demo).

    [*]Updated Cp_Granary

    • Added a new entrance to the mid Red/Blue ramp rooms.
    • Clipping, lighting and perf improvements.

    [*]Tournament mode HUD fixes

    • Fixed seeing an empty alert tray under the stopwatch timer.
    • Fixed a bug where the time for the tournament mode stopwatch wasn't being displayed.
    • Fixed the countdown when both teams are ready always reading "0 seconds"

Now the items are in game. The stats got changed.

Axe: Sets people on fire, -20% damage

Stick: +35% damage, -45% damage vs non burning players.

Also they will be craftable after the promo.

Sounds like there were good bug fixes too.

Gay, looks like I will only be able to craft the items after the promo cause I don't have windows to buy rift

Are you serious? you want to spend $50 for promo items just to have them a month before other people? Can't you just buy it from a web browser, if you really wanted to? Why do you need windows?

    • +1 on XVI. I still use it.
    • Age 16, old enough to get a full-time job, your own bank account, a passport, get married, even join the military and go to war. But talking to your friends on the internet? Oh hell no!
    • I remember when all games had demos; it was a normal thing, not a limited time promotion.
    • Forza Horizon 6 gets big bug-fixing and balancing update by Taras Buria Today, Playground Games released a big Forza Horizon 6 update with a long list of fixes, patches, and balancing tweaks that the studio promised earlier. Version 375.327 is now available on Steam, Microsoft Store, and Xbox, offering users improvements for AI, audio, design, performance, road discovery, upgrades, visuals, online play, and more. Some of the most notable changes in the Series 2 update include rebalanced drivatars, particularly their difficulty and race start behavior. As such, the game should be more balanced on higher difficulty levels, and AI cars should not shoot out when the race starts as if they have rocket boosters. Speaking of difficulty, developers nerfed Drag Tires physics for a more expected and realistic behavior. They are no longer the go-to option for record-breaking times in road racing, and all leaderboard entries with drag tires will be removed. Completionists will also be glad to get a new feature that lets you see road discovery percentage in each region, which should make discovering all roads easier while keeping it quite challenging and interesting (I spent quite a long time finding the last road). Festival Playlist is also getting some much-needed fixes, including patches for bugs that allowed completing Seasonal Jobs ahead of time or where weekly challenges would not unlock for some players. Developers will retroactively give reward points to all who could not complete all challenges due to these bugs. Other changes include changes to Horizon Play progression so that it is easier to reach Level 100, audio improvements on lower-spec devices, fixes for visual glitches, including pixelated smoke, and more. Developers also addressed the currently non-working Eliminator, an online mode gamers used to farm credits with a Hummer EV exploit. Playground Games plans to re-enable it soon. As a gesture of goodwill, players will get a free McLaren Sabre. Those who used the exploit will not be banned, but developers plan to roll back credits to a maximum of 10M for all who farmed credits using the exploit. You can find the complete changelog for the latest Forza Horizon 6 update here.
