AVATARS OFFICIAL

and IMO they look extremely stupid.

Looks like a complete Mii rip off.

Talking about how they will be in game, etc. they are just a little more real looking than Miis, but not much.

I'm impressed by the new Dashboard! Great job!

And the avatars don't look stupid. Just change it to the way you want it.

BTW, yes, this is a ripoff of the Miis, but they look stupid.

"When people turn on their Xbox 360s this fall, they'll get an entirely new interface and dashboard, an entirely new Xbox through the magic of software.

"The magic of software" :)

I lol'ed

"The new look and feel is more fun, more social, and simpler to use. You'll have a Gamercard, but there's also something new... it'll be more personal with avatars. Express your personality and style, share it with your community and friends. ... pants, shirts, hats... everything you need, it's all here."

This part of Ms's resopnce to Sony's HOME, right?

I really want to see pix >__<

Am I the only one who hates the new Dashboard? :( I just don't like the way you interact with it now.

I really hope they have something better to announce than this... like good new games. I'm sure the Dashboard will grow on me, but still... there better be bigger announcements than this.

The new party system is nice, though.

So avatars can be used to play

XBox Live Primetime

lets people play gameshows online like 1 vs 100

Pretty huge.

and BTW MightyJordan, it is my opinion Avatars look stupid, no need to make me change my mind. You like them, I get it, good for you. I dont. Good for me.

It is cool though people can play games together like this.

It looks like a 3D XMB to me.

I like it.

However it seems like these avatars really are nailed into the dashboard and you can't avoid em.

I think I'm with you on this one. It feels a bit cartooney/gimmickey, but perhaps it will grow on me. We'll see..

but this does sound very interesting:

A partnership with Endemol manifests in the "primetime" channel, which takes you and your pals into 1 vs. 100, a massively multiplayer game show coming to Xbox Live this Fall

    • Tim Cook: "The US over time began to stop having as many vocational kinds of skills." What's the point of wasting time getting those skills if you can't get a job with them? Good Lord, maybe he and his cohort of CEO's who exported all these jobs to China should just shut the f**k up :D
    • I made a new Cinematic/Trailer for the game, this will be the intro, still a work in progress!  I also updated the Steam page with a ton of new screenshots! 👀 https://store.steampowered.com/app/3925340/Incoherence_Dark_Rooms/
    • Closed-loop cooling and a custom 800G network protocol let the $7.3B campus run as one AI training machine. Microsoft confirmed June 23, 2026, that its Fairwater campus in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, is fully operational — and the engineering behind it makes the facility something fundamentally different from every data center that came before it. Where conventional cloud infrastructure racks up general-purpose servers and parcels out workloads to each one independently, Fairwater links hundreds of thousands of NVIDIA GB200 Blackwell GPUs into a single, coherent cluster using a two-story building design, 800-gigabit-per-second Ethernet fabric, and a proprietary networking protocol co-developed with OpenAI and NVIDIA. The result, according to Microsoft, is the closest thing to a purpose-built AI supercomputer that any company has ever placed in commercial operation. https://www.techtimes.com/articles/319205/20260627/microsoft-opens-fairwater-wisconsin-ai-campus-runs-one-supercomputer-via-800g-ethernet.htm
