Official Microsoft E3 Discussion Thread

What? This is absurd. This is crazy. Final Fantasy belongs on the Playstation platfor. It's like love & marriage; they go together like a horse and carriage.

Wow, seriously. What a stealth blow. Who saw this coming. MS has landed the first punch. Let's see what Sony can do. Hmmm.. this sucks.

Finally! Final Fantasy XIII coming to XBOX360!

Sorry.......IN YOUR FACE SONY!!!

It is about time really. It might be a PS game at heart but times are changing.

Now we just need FFVII remake on XBOX360 aswell.

(just waits for the crappy comment to come....It would be on 8 discs etc)

hah, well I'm not an RPG guy, but I just thought it was funny how they announced it

Seems like Microsoft is trying to hit all the audiences they haven't reached. Casual gamers, RPG (Japan, anyone?), etc. I was hoping to see Halo: Chronicles or something like that too, but guess not. We'll have to wait for the next few days to actually see all the games I want, and maybe hope for some big third-party announcements for the 360 and PC.

12:07 am PT: Don: "Wow, that's incredible. FF13 is an astonishing addition to our growing away of RPG titles... it joins a long list of former PlayStation franchises finding a new home on Xbox 360. Enjoy the rest of E3!"

nnoo!! they'll come back home to Sony.

it's fine though... they are just exploring exploring something new... but the FF franchises well realize that Sony is the nice warm place where they like to be :p

anyways.. that is good news for MS

not a shocking keynote (aside from the new menu system and FF XIII). Now to wait for Sony and Nintendo :p

As I said on the last page, I'm interested now in hearing about Versus, and whether or not any timed-exclusivity will be involved with 13, or either of them.

At least with 13, it will be coming out the same day, i think thats what he said...

It was on Nintendo for the longest time before that. And really...I don't think its that unexpected. They already put FF11 on there and had other announced titles. Infact I was surprised when the man walked off without announcing it originally. I've been expecting it was quite likely for a long time.

I find developers wanting to make exclusives far more surprising than those branching out. How can anyone be against multi platform games? I'm a 360 owner and wouldnt be upset to see the PS3 get Gears of War. I'd be happy for PS3 owners.

Exactly, Microsoft have their main fan base, it's about time they reached out to casual gamers.

I had to move onto the IGN stream as G4 was horrible so was a few mins behind.

Started out good, great hard core games coming out, then I got bored with the casual side of the conference, so I got something to eat.

Then a great finish, FF13, jeez, massive blow for the PS3 right there.

I mean seriously, it was one of the top reasons that people wanted to get a PS3 over an Xbox360 and they let it slip away, I can only hope they have something big planned for their own conference.

That "we don't buy exclusives" is certainly biting them in the ass now.

Just want to say thanks to everyone providing the updates in here for us "content blocked" at work people.

Does anyone know if a stream or "rebroadcast" of the keynote will be available on Live later today, or anywhere I can replay it from when I get home?

Thanks again.

Gamespot, even although it died on it's arse, always put the presentations up for later viewing.

Dunno about the others.

    • I like Tidal, but it still does not control devices from the mobile/app and still no surround support. And yeah re: above comment I still get a lot of network errors and I am on a 4/4 Gbit Fiber connection.
    • Aren`t "security features" and "AI model that can see your screen" a tad diametric!
    • Samsung, Amazon extend 990 PRO 2TB NVMe SSD deal beyond Prime Day 2026 by Sayan Sen Recently, we had Amazon's Prime Day 2026 sales wherein there were several great deals including on SSDs. One of those discounted components was the Samsung 990 PRO SSD as the 2TB variant of it was selling for $370, a very good price after a long time. Although that deal was supposed to expire today, Amazon has now extended that sale further (purchase link under the specs table down below). The 990 PRO is a PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD and still one of the fastest drives available today for under $400. Speaking of fast, sequential reads and writes are rated at 7450 MB/s and 6900 MB/s, respectively. The random throughputs for reads and writes are 1400K IOPS and 1550K IOPS, respectively. The 990 PRO is based on Samsung's 7th Gen V-NAND flash, and it too is TLC. It packs 2 gigs of LPDDR4 DRAM cache, which helps the random performance. The endurance rating for this is 1200 TBW (terabytes written), which should be sufficient for most users. The Samsung 990 PRO is compatible with the PlayStation 5, but if you are going to use the 990 PRO on a PC, check out the Samsung Magician app that lets you track your drive's health, update its firmware, customize various settings, and more. The technical specs of the Samsung 990 PRO 2TB are given in the table below: Specification Value Form Factor M.2 2280 Interface PCIe Gen 4.0 x4, NVMe 2.0 NAND Flash Samsung V-NAND TLC Controller Samsung In-house Controller Cache Memory Samsung 2GB Low Power DDR4 SDRAM Sequential Read Speed Up to 7,450 MB/s Sequential Write Speed Up to 6,900 MB/s Random Read (4KB, QD32) Up to 1,400,000 IOPS Random Write (4KB, QD32) Up to 1,550,000 IOPS Random Read (4KB, QD1) Up to 22,000 IOPS Random Write (4KB, QD1) Up to 80,000 IOPS Operating Temperature 0°C to 70°C Reliability (MTBF) 1.5 Million Hours Endurance 1,200 TBW (Total Bytes Written) Get it at the link below: Samsung 990 PRO SSD 2TB NVMe SSD (MZ-V9P2T0B/AM): $369.99 (Sold and Shipped by Amazon US) Good to know This Amazon deal is U.S. specific, and not available in other regions unless specified.
