Killzone 2

Give me some examples of websites and I'll believe you :p

I don't think I've ever seen a steel box game the same price as the vanilla version :p

When Bioshock came out, the steel box was the same price as the vanilla version in Game shop as least!

I look forward to seeing some reviews if that is true about the embargo date AB.

Reviews so far, mostly compromised of official Mags though

OPM US: 5/5

OPM UK: 9/10

OPM Aus: 10/10

OPM Spain: 9.5/10

OPM Portugal: 9/10

OPM Netherlands: 91/100 (only reviewed single player)

MegaGames.com: 9.9/10

576Kbyte: 9.7/10

Gameplay: 20/20

Gamepro: 5/5

PSX Extreme: 95/100

Hobby Consolas: 9.4/10

Reviews tomorrow should be the big hitters if true - At least if they're ready to post, as the embargo was the 2nd of Feb before.

Uh, would be awesome with a moved embargo date (Y)

Dying to read some trustworthy reviews!

EDIT: I just decided I want to order the game in the UK, considering the pound is worth the same as gravel these days. The cheapest place I can find in Denmark is 55 pounds ( Keyboard acting up, can't do the pound sign :p ) I usually always order from dvd.co.uk whic has the tin box edition for 35 pounds + 2 pounds shipping. Anyone have any better places that send the game out in due time and ships internationally?

Edited by Sethos

Collectors edition box for ?32.99 on Shopto now - http://www.shopto.net/page.php?page=dettag...;codart=PS3KI00 (?1 off code - shoptovoucher2)

Sethos - Play ship internationally I think, but as of now, no CE box yet (if it's what you want) - http://www.play.com/Games/PlayStation3/4-/...-2/Product.html (?32.99)

Can you use a voucher code with a pre-order on ShopTo? :/

edit: Munky, where did you pre-order from?

edit2: Okay you can use a voucher with Shop-To, just need to go to "my account" and redeem the code - It will automatically be offset against your next order, whether that's something that's in stock or on pre-order. Whatever comes first.

KZ2 for ?31.99 then:))

Actually, looking at the date, 27th is a Friday and then I wouldn't have the game before Monday at the earliest. The Danish shop I usually orders at sends out games two days before, so I would have it for the weekend. In case I do decide to order it from the UK, which shop is usually the most trustworthy? Some shops always runs out of stock in no time or process your orders whenever the hell they please.

Okay also, KZ2 normal edition is ?29.99 on ShopTo - http://www.shopto.net/page.php?page=dettag...mp;platform=PS3

So you're paying ?3 more for tin case on their sit:p:p

KZ2 for ?28.99

or

KZ2 "CE" for ?31.99

H:pm :p

What bothers me the most is that I have to get the game in the UK... me being in the Netherlands is quote annoying :p - I don't like to wait.

I mean, 32 pounds? Retail stores here are charging up to 75 euro's (69.50GBP/99.50USD) with some online shops dropping to prices near 50 euro's...

Just go to the studios and ask for a copy :p

I did actually think of just going there a while ago - see if they have tours or something... :p never got around to that.

Might do now tho... along with my bat and a couple of buff looking fellas. I want that game XD

The power unlimited crew camped in front of the studio for 2 days with sleeping bags, they did get in the 3rd day because they were blocking employees from getting in and annoying the crap out of them :p

[inside joke]If I remember correctly you did that very successfully with Prins Carnaval a couple of years back. You're hired. We're leaving tomorrow!.[/inside joke]

Does anyone have any thoughts on the classes by the way? Which are fun/great to play, which work out best etc.?

Does anyone have any thoughts on the classes by the way? Which are fun/great to play, which work out best etc.?

Hold on, I'll tell you in a month

Most people will probably end up creating custom classes when they have the ability to. I posted the custom class possibilities back some pages.

Basically you can take a primary of one class, and a secondary of another to suit your play style. Primaries & secondaries will be broken into things like healing/support/attack. So I guess it's just up to your play style - Do you play better as support, or all out attack?

Hold on, I'll tell you in a month
Heh. Nah, I just thought maybe someone had some inside info/read somewhere which classes work out great and which don't... Sure a Scout/Medic or something would be quite nice, but with all the possibilities I just think there's some combinations which hold an advantage over others. You can't balance a game perfectly (unless you're Blizzard and made StarCraft.)

Damn forget that last video, here's 2 mins of direct feed footage from Visari Square, not yet shown either - http://www.videogamer.com/videos/killzone_..._gameplay.html#

Love the way shell cases fly out your gun :p

The sound in this game is gonna kick **** out my room walls

From a journalist on the GAF

I just got an email back from Sony PR.

In North America at least, the embargo still lifts on Monday the 2nd.

If anything ends tomorrow, it looks like it'll just be for Europe then. Eurogamer review possibly...

A whole month before the game comes out? I wouldn't count on it, I don't think EG have ever been that early. A week at most.

The review builds have been with reviewers since December remember.

Reviews are going to be coming in when the USA embargo lifts on the 2nd, it's the journalists on GAF with reviews to post relaying such information like the above. Obviously we're not going to be flooded with all the reviews the day the embargo's lifted, but from that date they can be posted at will.

Oh Munky :spindj:

Eurogamer Killzone 2 Review - 29th Jan. 5pm GMT

Killzone 2 has been the subject of intense hype, speculation and discussion ever since it was shown off - or rather, ever since Sony tried to give us an impression of how it would look - at E3 2005.

In the intervening period we've had teasers, trailers, hands-off and finally hands-on previews and a closed multiplayer beta - a rare thing in these days of betas-as-demos marketing - but the ultimate question still lingers: is it any good?

Well, tomorrow you'll be able to find out, as Eurogamer's review of Killzone 2 will finally go live at 5pm GMT on Thursday, 29th January.

    • RevPDF 4.5.0 by Razvan Serea RevPDF is a free, fully offline PDF editor for Windows, macOS, and Linux that lets you edit text and images directly inside PDF files — no internet connection, no account, and no cloud uploads required. Unlike bloated alternatives that demand subscriptions and constant connectivity, RevPDF fits in under 60MB on desktop while delivering a complete editing toolkit: annotate, redact, sign, compress, split, merge, convert, and reorganize pages, all processed locally on your device. Smart font matching ensures edited text blends seamlessly with the original, and multi-language support includes RTL scripts such as Arabic and Hebrew. Where most PDF editors force you to choose between features and simplicity, RevPDF manages both. You can build interactive forms from scratch with text fields, checkboxes, and dropdowns, permanently redact sensitive data before sharing, draw freehand on contracts and diagrams, and add custom watermarks — all without a single file leaving your machine. Edit Text and Images Directly Inside PDFs RevPDF supports true inline PDF editing — not just annotation layers on top of a document, but actual modification of existing text and images within the file. A smart font-matching engine identifies the font used in the original document and applies it automatically when you make edits, so changes blend naturally with the surrounding content. You can reposition elements, resize images, and update text across single pages or entire documents. RevPDF 4.5.0 release notes: This is one of the biggest updates to RevPDF yet. A lot of things people have been asking for are finally here. New Features Auto Redaction Permanently redact sensitive text and areas from your PDFs before sharing. Clean, irreversible, and fully offline. Comments, Links & Bookmarks Add comments for review, insert clickable links, and create bookmarks to jump around long documents without scrolling forever. Find & Replace Search across the whole document and replace text in one go. Long overdue. Split Pages Vertically or Horizontally Split any page down the middle, vertically or horizontally. Perfect for scanned books or double-page spreads. New Drawing Tools More tools for freehand drawing and markup, better for annotations, sketches, and detailed notes. Continuous Scrolling in Editor The editor now scrolls continuously through pages instead of jumping between them. Working through long documents is a lot smoother now. PDF Metadata Editor View and edit the metadata stored inside your PDFs, including title, author, subject, and keywords. Better Font Matching Text edits now blend in more naturally by doing a better job of matching the original font. Tabbed PDF Viewer Open multiple PDFs at once in tabs and switch between them without going back to the home screen. Add Links Insert hyperlinks anywhere in your PDF, to external URLs or to other pages within the document. Share & Print Shortcuts Share or print directly from the editing screen, home screen, and viewer. No extra steps. Minor Updates Paste images directly from clipboard into your PDF New image editing tools for more control over images inside documents Bug Fixes Fixed file saving issues on Windows and Linux Everything still works fully offline. No login, no cloud, no account. Your files stay on your device. • Interesting. I'm not using a VPN with my phone. I tried though my home internet (Rogers) and my cellular internet (Telus) using their respective DNS servers and both trigger the dialog above.
