Symmetry is something that looks the same on one side as it does the other.

Find something around your local area that is symetrical, take a photo, upload it here :)

I thought the quality in the first chess one was supposed to be like that - it looks good, almost somewhat old.

Not sure what ^ has to do with the topic though!

I thought that but some of the submissions so far don't seem to show that at least in my opinion. Even though they're good shots.

Edit: After looking again, I see it. I guess I just wasn't paying close enough attention.

The point of the assignments are to get you to look at the topics in an arbitrary manner. I urge, if not request that you 'look outside of the box' and be more conceptual in your shooting as opposed to blind following the topic!

I also urge that votes should be made on originality and concepts just as much as visuals!

But who am I to judge :)

You, as well as the rest of the members ARE the judge! If you don't think it fits your idea of the topic well, don't vote for that person!

took this last week for the assignment whilst on holiday in Selsey ( south coast of UK ), unfortunately I don't have a super duper camera but hopefully managed to capture the symmetry :)

This is looking out to the isle of wight which was having a nice storm - lucky me. Up until that point my shots were boring.

Looks good, but I think you're supposed to post your entry < 800.

Pardon the ignorance, but on:

Voting Deadline: 29th July

Entries Deadline: 5th Aug

I'm confused... If I submit something say, on the 4th, it won't be voted on ?

Voting deadline was for the last assignment, sorry I didn't specify that! A new voting deadline will be updated one entries are closed.

For now I'll make that clearer in the original thread, thanks mate.
