The Lifetime Subscriber Fee

Recommended Posts

I'm gonna die in 2058 at the age of 74...hmm...

Funny it says, when I put down that I live in America, that I will die:

Saturday, 20th October 2063

You will live to be 74 years, 7 months and 5 days old!

If I put down I live in the UK, it says:

Wednesday, 31st December 2064

You will live to be 75 years, 9 months and 16 days old!

Still the point of lifetime membership fees for organisations is that they take the one-time charge and invest it and use the interest. Sometimes it is about ten times the normal annual fee, sometimes less. It also depends on how likely possible payers of the lifetime fee are to think the organisation will actually be in existence through the course of their lifetimes.

Because of this, and seeing other comments, it would seem anywhere from four to six years worth of regular annual fees could serve as an attractive amount for a lifetime membership, perhaps also with the 'available for a limited time only' or 'in limited numbers' to boost interest, as Kudos noted.
