brent3000 Posted July 24, 2008 Share Posted July 24, 2008 Hi all i recently got given a disc with a whole bunch of NMV and NM3 files on it (Video and MP3's i asume from the extencions) After looking through the internet (google) this is one of the best info things i can find http://forum.videohelp.com/topic271856.html The nmv video extension comes from HDMS (Hard Drive Music Systems) for music videos. Now that page says that these are encrypted or something as well and it suggests using brute-force or something like that... I want to ask has anyone used or successfully played these type of formats? all of the players list them as unknown formats and none of my converters can recognizes them. It's the most complete media codec around IMO if that doesn't work, maybe it's really encrypted and you're not supposed to open the files (that would be hacking) Here's how to convert the audio files: if you can play the audio files, you can record them into a new audio file, using jetAudio.
