Warner Bros. launched their new website for this film last night, and there's not much other than the GL symbol. But if you view the page's source, there's this description:

In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, a small but powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps. A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers. But when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate and the fate of Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan.

Consider this ultra-official confirmation that Parallax (and not Legion, as in earlier drafts of the script) is the film's main villain. [Warner Bros.]

The movie version of the Oan power lantern is refreshingly alien, actually?unlike the ones seen in most of the comics, its almost Cronenbergian design feels like something that was carved from the chest of something in a galaxy far, far away.

Warner Brothers can't be thrilled that this image hit the net today, given that they went out of their way to make a big splash with the lantern at Spike TV's Scream awards, which taped over the weekend and will air on 10/19. Ryan Reynolds took to the stage in the shadow of the new power lantern to accept the Most Anticipated Movie award on behalf of Green Lantern ... because movies don't have hands.

Oh god damn. The suit looks even worse than the EW cover. It still looks completely painted on i.e. the mask. I'm hoping that just unfinished CGI. I think if they had a wetsuit in it's place, it would have looked better and that's pretty sad considering the amount of money used for the CGI.

Well, I'm older than most of you I'm sure so all of these Superhero movies that are coming out or have come out is a dream come true. I used to be a comic book ###### when I was younger and even into my mid-late twenties. I grew up reading them all. To me, I don't need it to be the greatest of superhero films, I just want to see my heroes in real life on the screen. To me, that's more important than anything else. I remeber seeing Spiderman's first attempt at crawling up a wall ( or Peter Parker) and I swear I got goosebumps. If you were a kid growing up to 10 or 25 cent comics then you'll know what I'm talking about.

For the most part, I'm in the same school of thought.

Hell, there was this VERY cheesy Superfriends live-action movie

that came out on TV when I was a kid. It didn't do very well...

but to me, it was freakin' AWESOME. Cheesy costumes and all.

There is a trailer out for Thor, from the Comic Con.

As for Capt. America... I don't think they're far enough

along to be releasing trailers.

I'm still looking forward to both movies. If they bomb, they bomb.

But I don't think they'll be nearly as disappointing as The Last

Airbender, for example.

not really, the lack of any trailer or promo photos for thor will be the death of that movie. i have no idea why your soo against captain. you hate evens that much? i think he looks fantastic in the newest photos.

I kid you know...I will probably end up watching Cap but not put myself out...I just want one thing...he doesn't lead the Avengers because Chris Evans does not have the charisma of RDJ
