the alien characters (^ Sinestro looks like the real deal) look better in CG than Hal's for some reason...

And I agree....I'm not big on humour in it...Hal should be more of a serious type guy. I don't remember him making corny jokes/remarks in the comics...lol WTF! I knew casting Ryan Reynolds would lead to that...I mean he is good in his humourous roles...but just doesn't seem to fit this character though.

Ryan Reynolds has said that his superhero costume in the Green Lantern movie had to be created using visual effects.

Speaking to Empire, Reynolds defended the decision not to use a spandex outfit, saying that CGI will help reflect his character Hal Jordan's changing moods throughout the comic book movie.

"It has to be virtual rather than spandex," he said. "This is a suit from an alien planet. It's not The Dark Knight - I don't put the suit on and my voice drops several octaves.

"The suit is powered specifically on his will, his emotion, his creativity and his imagination. I love that. Everything Hal creates are images from his childhood. Or things fuelled specifically from his own mind."

Green Lantern opens in cinemas this summer.

In Green Lantern Blake Lively plays Carol Ferris, who as VP runs Ferris Aircraft and is also a pilot. In the trailer her helmet has an 8-pointed star symbol which hints that Carol has her own secret: she's a member of the Star Sapphire Corps.

While a Green Lanterns power ring draws from the users willpower, a Star Sapphires power ring uses love. Other Corps use different colors, each signifying a different point along the emotional spectrum; anger, fear etc. These differences often bring the Corps into conflict, even if both are trying to do the right thing. Carol and Hal, who also have a romantic undercurrent, are prime examples.

Below is an image of Star Sapphire from the comics. We can only hope Ms. Lively wears something similar ;)

    • Not such a great deal, Ultimate, which gives you full 5080 features is $181.99 CAD per month, that's $2183.88 per year, I can buy the 5080 for $1809.99 CAD, then it goes up to $279.99 per month after the first billing cycle. Typical cloud rental, costs more than buying the hardware.
    • Wow, spoken like a true blind hater, you don't even provide arguments. Please, go check my comment above to @seacaptain and you'll find out why what you say doesn't make sense in this context...
    • Get used to this, with AI tooling now uncovering new vulns and getting them exploitable far faster than has ever been possible before software is going to need to be updated far more frequently. Back in the day it may take reseachers weeks or months to do what AI can now do in hours. Once its a threat is discovered it's weaponsized far more quickly, meaning you simply can't be waiting 2, 3, 4 weeks to deploy a patch, it needs to be patched immediately. Going to be interesting handling this in the enterprise space where traditionally patching has been steady, but very staged (and rightly so up until now), that is going to have to change.
    • You don't need to "close all browser sessions constantly" or wait for updates to install. The updates download in the background while you use the browser, without interrupting you, they install automatically the next time you launch the app. And they install very fast (depending on your storage speeds, of course), you have to wait at most 2-3 extra seconds, if any. Seems like you haven't used Edge in a loooooooong time...
