BTW, I've just started on the FAQ since I found some free time. I've already awnsered all the suggestions. Any more suggestions to put in before I convert it to HTML and go from there?

Q. How do I use the alternate startbuttons?

A. Use a program such as Resource Hacker to open Classix.msstyles or ClassixSD.msstyles. Once open, look for a folder called Bitmap and open it up. Then look for your sub style name followed by _STARTBUTTON_BMP (such as BLACKSD_STARTBUTTON_BMP). Open it up, click then right click on resource 1033 and choose Replace Resource?. Click Open File with New Bitmap and then browse to find the new startbutton. Once chosen, click Replace in the last dialog box then go to File>Save As? and choose All Files and overwrite the msstyles file you were just working on. Simple as that!

Q. How do I use the Classic Start Menu Banners?

A. Use a program like Resource Hacker to do this. It?s quite simple. Your VERY first step is to get rid of the explorer.exe file in the dllcache folder (hidden in the System32 folder). Next, be sure to open Resource Hacker first then go into your Task Manager and kill explorer.exe and iexplore.exe. Then just hack open explorer.exe (in your WINDOWS or WINNT directory) and replace Bitmap #166 (for Home Edition) or #167 (for Professional). Save As?, overwrite, and restart from the Task Manager.

Q. What the hell do I do with these shellplayer DLLs?

A. First you have to find an early version of the Windows XP Powertoys. It will install a taskbar audio player. First, change the file you would like to use to shplayer.dll. To use the shplayer.dll is like using the uxtheme.dll. Same concept of installing. I would say the easiest and fastest is to follow a pattern like this except replacing the paths with the path for the shplayer.dll files in your System32 (original) and the other found anyplace else on your system.

Q. Is there a <insert program name here> skin available?

A. We have a Winamp 2.xx skin, a QuickNotes skin, and a Trillian Pro skin available at the moment. It seems art is working on a BSPlayer skin and maybe even on WMP9 and Winamp3 skins if mass amounts of people would take interest.

Q. Are there times when you don't feel...fresh?

A. That is classified at this time.

I cant think in any new improvements, this theme has evolved like crazy, like watercolor but faster, maybe more color schemes but then the theme is going to be HUGE

I'll be glad I'm running T3 when the final comes out. :p

I say soon people'll be just making modifications and allowing other people to use them and telling them how to install them. There will still be official updates, but this is most likely gonna turn into a community project.

Evolving the theme could just mean getting one version of it as bug free and such as possible, then changing it to look a bit different... then it wouldn't be Classix... :unsure:

It honestly is one of the best themes out there and seems to be pretty damn bug free.
