Lost - Season 5

Oh. My. God.

The whole scene with the Sawyer-Jack conversation was filled with awesome.

That was some sweet revenge :D

And Ben has always known Sayid ... very interesting. If he knows Sayid was in the 70s, he must at least recognize the others from there too ... can't wait for the Ben episode/episodes to show us exactly what he knows.

Faraday is 'gone'? So I guess he's the death.

I suppose that's what got him through the torture Sayid was giving him back in the Swan. I'm thinking Faraday jumped the Island in 1977, causing the plane from Ajira to come.

Freaking awesome episode (Y) Next week, Sayid becomes the 'evil' person o.o

I don't know, I wasn't really impressed with this episode. Not bad, just not as exciting as the previous couple of episodes. Maybe it was the fact I wanted Locke and we didn't see him at all lol

Really? I thought it was a 15/10.

Probably for the same reason you didn't like it. I've seen Locke do the same things 10 times now, it was alright to see an episode completely without him.

That said, I didn't like Kate, Jack, and Hurley being in the recruitment picture. That would say to me that all of the Others knew that they would go back in time, and since they believe in 'The Island', why would they ever do anything to try and change that?

Caesar and Ilana don't know each other. I thought for sure they would, and be working for Widmore. Maybe they both work for him but were never introduced.

That was some sweet revenge :D

Him turning the wheel makes sense. It would explain the hieroglyphs on his map. He would also want to leave in order to save Charlotte, even though he should know that he can't do it.

Oh, and Christian is a busy man it seems like. Showing up to everybody now. I wonder what Claire has been doing from 2005 to 2008 all by herself. Same with Rose and Bernard. Dying in the caves in the past maybe?

I thought that episode was full of win! probably because we saw the creation of the Swan! and the obvious thoughts of where its being put (jughead anyone?). Radzinksy actually looks like how I imagined him, so how do we get from there to him blowing his brains out?.

What time period are Sun and Frank in? early 90's? after the purge I take it.

That episode rocked. The conversation with Sawyer and Jack was excellent and Sawyer nailed Jack.

It's post-crash because of the runway, which was being worked on in 2004 when Kate, Sawyer and Jack were taken with the Others, and what we saw was a completed runway, so I'm going to go with 2008 (hence the 30 years earlier text, not being exactly 30 years since it's 2008 and 1977).

Yeah also have we seen the Dharma area before by the dock? because the buildings look recently trashed like 3 or 4 years ago?

Yeah also have we seen the Dharma area before by the dock? because the buildings look recently trashed like 3 or 4 years ago?

The last time we saw Dharmaville in present time was when Ben called on smokey just after Alex was killed.

So...

Radzinsky was behind the construction of the Swan. He was working at the flame in the last episode and we can deduce from his and Jin's conversation that he knew all about the other Dharma stations.

However, we already know that he killed himself in the Swan and drew out the Dharma logo with all the stations on it and a big question mark in the middle on the blast door. What got him freaked out that he stated underground in the Swan all this time? And only traveled outside with a radiation suit and radiation drug injections?

Jughead.

So, the upcoming episode with the Incident will involve the Jughead. However, we know the Jughead never goes off since Dharma folk continued to live in the Barracks up until 1992. So, during 1977 - 1992 he was tricked into "saving the world" and confined to the Swan.

Kelvin Inman, his partner, arrived at the Swan sometime in 1991-1992.

So, I'm guessing what happened was another time shift that shook the entire Island that made Radzinsky think the hydrogen bomb went off. This time shift will occur soon, I'm guessing in the current year, 1977 (or maybe later - since it must have taken some time to built the Swan). Most likely involving the Losties getting back to their original timeline, however, from what Christian told Sun... it appears she has to go back to him.

At least we know where he got the map skills from and the location of everything.

Awesome stuff! I love me some swan station!

I don't get why Sun isn't ported back to the 70s.

Two possibilities:

1) The island doesn't need her, and thus leaves her alone.

2) The island needs her to do something in 2008.

The second is more likely, with Christian showing up to lead Sun and Lapidus to wherever they need to go.

Akuma, one problem with your theory about Radzinsky thinking Jughead went off is that he seems knowledgeable, and thus would know that a hydrogen bomb going off would level everything on the island.

Rappy, I love me some Swan too. Thinking about theming the basement of my new house into my own version of the Swan.

Complete with this:

I'm not clever enough to work out the specifics, but Sun has a child...

Claire disappeared leaving Aaron, babies couldn't be born on the island after a certain date etc so something is going on with paradoxes or whatever.

Edit for clarification, maybe the "can't have children" time-frame was a temporal time frame that wasn't permanent, children would mess up the time period because the children would have to come from somewhere thus be "set" in time. Bah I can't explain it properly but it makes sense to me :)

Ok that would own seriously!

We've seen people on the island at the same time. They didn't meet each other, but Locke, Sawyer, and Juliet all were on island during at least one flash with their 'real' counterparts.

If/when it gets done I'll be sure to post a ton of pics. The mural will be the worst part to duplicate, but I'm thinking about just buying the largest print of it I can find.

So far the biggest is only 24 x 23, which doesn't make me too happy.

I think that's ok because they can't interfere with themselves anyway, but having children "stamps" the future which would explain why there was a period on the island that no children could be born, because that period was some sort of "loop" that was not set in time.

Sawyer has a daughter. You going to argue that this only applies to women?

Remember that on this show, there is only one timeline. Everything is 'set' as it is. Except for Desmond.

    • Microsoft's Copilot Cowork now generally available with usage-based billing by Pradeep Viswanathan Back in March, Microsoft first revealed Copilot Cowork, a new agentic AI experience in Microsoft 365 Copilot through which users can assign tasks to AI to complete in the background. After testing the service with a limited set of customers in Research Preview for a few weeks, Microsoft announced the general availability of Copilot Cowork to customers in the Frontier program on March 30. Today, Microsoft announced the general availability of Copilot Cowork worldwide for Microsoft 365 Copilot customers. The company also highlighted that Cowork became the fastest-growing feature in the history of its Frontier program. Unlike regular Copilot Chat, Copilot Cowork can run complex, long-running, multi-tool tasks from start to finish in the cloud by using organizational context through Work IQ. When compared to Claude Cowork, Microsoft claims that Copilot Cowork will be 30% to 40% cheaper on average with its Microsoft 365 connector. For now, Copilot Cowork runs on Anthropic models, including Opus 4.8 and Sonnet 4.6. However, Frontier customers can now use GPT-5.5. Microsoft also announced Cowork 1, a secure fine-tuned model coming in the next few weeks, which is designed to handle everyday Copilot tasks at a lower cost. To access Copilot Cowork, a Microsoft 365 Copilot user subscription is required. Usage is billed separately through Copilot Credits, based on model use, context retrieval, tool calls, and runtime. Pay-as-you-go pricing is set at $0.01 per Copilot Credit. To offer IT teams full control over usage costs, Microsoft provides spending limits, usage alerts, user-level controls, reporting, and prepaid usage plans for organizations. Usage-based billing begins today. However, Frontier customers who used Cowork between March 30 and June 16 will not be billed until July 1, 2026. The Microsoft 365 Copilot app now includes a toggle to enter the full Cowork experience. Microsoft is also adding partner plugins, with Enosix, Harvey, LSEG, Miro, monday.com, Moody’s, Morningstar, S&P Global Energy, and TeamsMaestro available now. Adobe, Atlassian, Box, Canva, Databricks, and others are coming soon.

    • KillerPDF 1.5.1 by Razvan Serea KillerPDF is a lightweight, portable PDF editor for Windows built for users who want full control without subscriptions, installers, or telemetry. It runs as a single executable, making it ideal for USB use and field work. You can view PDFs with smooth PDFium rendering, navigate quickly with thumbnails, zoom, and shortcuts, and reorganize pages using drag-and-drop. It supports merging multiple PDFs, splitting documents, and extracting selected pages. KillerPDF also allows inline text editing with font matching to preserve the original layout, plus annotations like text boxes, freehand drawing, highlights, and reusable signatures. You can search full text, copy content easily, and print documents with flattened annotations. Designed as a free and open alternative to bloated PDF tools, it works fully offline on Windows 10/11 x64. No runtimes install. Everything needed is inside the EXE (targets .NET Framework 4.8, which ships with every supported Windows release). KillerPDF key features: High-quality PDF rendering via PDFium Edit PDF text inline (double-click to modify text) Page thumbnails and fast navigation with zoom and shortcuts Merge multiple PDFs into one Split PDFs and extract selected pages Drag-and-drop page reordering Font matching to preserve original document appearance Text boxes for notes Freehand drawing tools Highlight overlays with adjustable color, size, opacity Undo actions and clear per-page annotations Create, draw, and save reusable signatures Click-to-place signatures anywhere Full-text search with highlighted results Drag-select or Ctrl+A to copy text Print with annotations flattened Portable single-file app (~10 MB) No installer, no admin rights required No account, no telemetry KillerPDF 1.5.1 changelog: Performance Save Flattened PDF now uses multiple CPU cores. Page rasterization is parallelized (PNG encoding runs across cores; the PDFium render step stays serialized since the library isn't thread-safe), so large documents flatten significantly faster while the UI stays responsive (#68). Fixed PDFs that failed to open with "Unexpected EOF" now open (#72). The failure was PdfSharpCore's Flate inflater (SharpZipLib) rejecting the FlateDecode cross-reference stream on multi-revision PDFs - files that open fine in browsers, Acrobat, and Foxit. KillerPDF now detects this and re-opens the file losslessly through PDFium, preserving selectable text. Thanks to @javajon for the report and a detailed reproduction. Grid view renders every page. It was capped at the first 26 pages, so longer documents stopped loading partway through. Tiles also stream in progressively now instead of blocking until the whole document is rendered. Grid Ctrl+Scroll no longer reloads every page when the zoom is already at its limit and nothing would change. Removed a stray horizontal scrollbar (a thin green line) that could appear across the bottom of grid view. Files on UNC / network shares (including the WSL \\wsl$ filesystem) are copied locally before opening, avoiding partial-read failures on network filesystems. Changed Minimum zoom lowered from 10% to 5%, so grid view can pack more columns (helpful for wide/landscape pages) and single-page view can zoom out further.
