Interesting especially this one from podcast "We'll see the four-toed statue from the front this season", that means someone is going to be right...or wrong!

From Erica's recap of Namaste

2) Who ordered the runway to be built, how did they know it would be needed, and why exactly did they decide the project should begin in 2004?

Apparently the producers answered the first part of this question in March 19th's audio podcast

To anyone here who has heard the postcast..what answer did the producers give?

And awesome episode btw! I totally went nuts when sayid shot Ben!

I think they said that Jacob told Ben to build it, but didn't say what for ?

I never read anything he writes, I remember when he posted a picture of a lighthouse and claimed it was a dharma station.

For the love of god that is a Ben as a child not Harry Potter. Do you even watch the show?

ThEmIsFiTiShErE (viz. The Misfit is Here) is the online alias of a devout LOST fan, known for his bizarre theories and commentary concerning the show. TheMisfit is in actuality a parody of hardcore LOST fans [1]. He claims his name is Mike Rotch (Or 'My Crotch'), lives in Scotland, and is currently in a hospital (where he watches LOST with his 'friend' Tony) because of an 'incident' 5 years ago. He currently operates a blog for his findings where he posts theories on a regular basis. He is famous for a listing of continuity errors (e.g. Jack Shephard spelled wrong on his Doctor's Certificate.)
How about that Tumor Ben had, maybe had something to do with this gunshot?

Interesting theory, never even popped into my mind.

Young Ben cannot be dead or else the plot just became even more stupid.

Even if he does "die" the island brings people back to life. So its obvious hes not dead the end of the ep is just to make it look like he is.

+1 I like this.

Well smokey can bring him back to life, but I don't think he's dead, he can't of been smokey all this time, wouldn't make any sense. Well I guess the island made him recover quicker than expected, because maybe the island knew that Ben would be their new leader.

I reckon Ben is a tool, he was never supposed to be the leader, he's too selfish for that... he ignored Jacob's order, he killed Locke not because he thought it was the "right" thing to do but because he was afraid of what Locke said to him.

Matthew Perry Desperate For Lost Role  lolwat?

Friends star Matthew Perry is reportedly desperate to land a role in ABC drama Lost.

The actor, who played Chandler Bing in the sitcom from 1994 until 2004, admitted that he is a huge fan of the series but acknowledged that his fame made it impossible for him to make a realistic appearance.

"I want to be on that show so bad, but people would be like, 'What's Chandler doing on the island?' So it isn't going to happen," WENN quotes him as saying.

"But I am truly addicted to the show. I even follow the storylines online."

His latest film 17 Again opens in the UK on April 10.

Set Pictures from Finale

Some pretty much big casting news so beware!

Fact: Dexter alum Mark Pellegrino (he played Rita's abusive ex) has been cast on Lost in a pivotal role, multiple sources confirm to me exclusively.

Unconfirmed scuttlebutt: He's playing Jacob in an off-island, circa-'70s flashback involving some very familiar faces!

Fact: He turns up in the season finale.

Unconfirmed scuttlebutt: One of those familiar faces is *a****!

I think Ben is dead.

1) He's been shot by a professional killer (Sayid) who really took his time to aim at him and shoot. Missing him would be plain ridiculous.

2) You say that Ben can't be dead because that would change the future. So what ? What if the future has actually changed ! We've heard last time when Ajira plane was crashing that the numbers were being broadcast, maybe that was the first sign that the future has changed for whatever reason.

    • If they ever come out and say the AI is no longer accessible to the gen pop people aren't going to know how to tie their own shoelaces.
    • It's hard not to when they are shoehorning Ai into EVERYTHING. Some are active users by choice, I bet a lot of them are because it's shoved in their face the entire time.

    • Nearly half of American adults now use AI, but concerns are also growing by Hamid Ganji Since the launch of ChatGPT in 2022, the way people research, get their news, and perform routine tasks has changed dramatically. Now, almost everything around us has a touch of AI, and companies are trying to embed it into nearly every product and service they offer. With that in mind, new research shows how Americans are actually adopting this change and using AI in their everyday lives. According to new research conducted by the Pew Research Center, 49% of American adults now use AI chatbots like ChatGPT or Gemini. This marks a significant increase over last year, when only 33% of American adults reported using AI. Additionally, four in ten U.S. adults (42%) said they use AI tools to research information, while 38% said they use these tools to handle tasks at work. Entertainment, image and video editing, and getting medical advice are among the other ways Americans are using AI. Moreover, ChatGPT dominates the U.S. AI market, with 44% of respondents saying they use OpenAI's chatbot. Gemini follows at 24%, while Copilot and Meta AI account for 17% and 14%, respectively. Respondents also said that AI chatbots generally have a positive impact on their productivity and how informed they are. But when it comes to AI’s impact on society, Americans remain largely skeptical. About 40% of American adults believe AI will be more harmful than beneficial to society over the next 20 years. Additionally, 31% expect AI to have a negative effect on them personally. Another 31% of respondents say AI could be equally positive and negative. As for data security, pessimism remains high: 71% of respondents say AI will make their personal information less secure, while only 3% believe it will make their data more secure. American adults also largely lack confidence in both the government and AI companies when it comes to regulating and developing AI. About 67% of Americans have little to no confidence in the U.S. government’s ability to regulate AI effectively. Six in ten adults are also not confident that U.S. companies will develop and use these tools responsibly.
