Not anything that would rip a guys filling out through the top of his head, Nuclear bombs produce Electromagnetic Pulses that disable electronics.

Am I the only one who thought the dead guy was Jacob? Because his body looked remarkably similar to the little image we got a couple seasons back.

I'm not sure how it fits in with the story, but to me it does sorta look like him.

I wonder if the TV guide or Entertainment weekly's Lost article about a new dude coming to the show is Jacob?

That was Terry O'Quinn with a wig on. Don't judge anything by that screencap, because its not 'canon'. Its just meant to be a stand-in.

Possibly to use it for time travel testing, but "what body" seemed pretty clear in the denial of a body should that information become public knowledge.

Not necessarily, just because the title of the episode is 'The Variable' and it is based on Daniel revealing what he knows about the island. I think that the Variable is Desmond too because nobody can change things in the past, whereas Desmond can, and is 'special' because of what happened in the Hatch.

I have to say that the only episode I didn't like this season was the Kate-centric episode. With all the others I'm really interested in seeing what happens with the characters. I always end up wanting to see more!

Its very possible. The 'documentary' about the O6 on the S4 DVDs was very well done, I thought, so if this is more of the same, it should be very interesting, at least.
