CoolCatBad
Joaquin Phoenix and Mark Wahlberg produced and star in this 1980's Brooklyn crime film, with Eva Mendes and Robert Duvall - who took the role originally intended for Christopher Walken. Phoenix runs a nightclub for a Russian mafia gang and Wahlberg is his brother in the NYPD, as is his father Duvall. The Russians start going big-time in the cocaine business and the NYPD declares war, at least those who are not getting bribes. Phoenix is forced to choose on which side he will line up and fight, the result is predictable but stretches credibility in it's depiction. Director James Gray has done well, almost to the quality of a Scorcese film.

azcodemonkey
I didn't really enjoy this movie. The plot was quite predictable, which made the movie seem slow and boring.
