Technically the 3 hr miniseries was not the "Series" premiere and no is was done over 2 days back to back

Fair enough:):)

I'm glad they went back to a gate design which actually rotated. Atlantis looked like some knock-off show. I hope we get to see a decent scene of the General Hammond and that Ha'tak vessel going at each other.

You might have missed this in Atlantis' final episode.... but it was revealed General Hammond died of a heart attack :(

Edit: Oh.... you did mention that it was a vessel. My mistake

Not impressed. Most of the characters seem like generic versions of other characters in media. Chubby smart kid seems like 'Seth' from 'Superbad', and the main scientist guy reminds me of a lame version of Baltar from BS:G. Dunno why they feel the need to stick a rebellious 'bad-boy' black dude into every season, either.

Really want it to improve, but this premier doesn't leave me with much hope. It's all starting to seem pretty tired and retreaded.

I dont remember that being said :(

enjoyed this first episode

It was rather good however i can honestly say i have no idea where they are going from here in ways of the overall story and concept for this one not to mention if they are going to be playing off of must of the old story line other than that the Ancients build the ship

It was in one of the SG-1 movies, Continuum, actually. And I don't think they said what he died from, just that he died. It was a nod to the actor who died IRL.

Why does every show have to do things in flash back form now?

There was this little show, maybe you've heard of it ... very popular ... called Lost.

What does the Asgard have to do with the new show? Maybe they will run into the Furlings somewhere in the universe. :p

Excactly.

They can't run into the Ancients (well, they can, sorta) and as far as we know the Nox are only in the Milky Way. The Asgard and Furlings are the only two we can meet now really (since the Nox are really like, not gonna show up anymore I'm sure) and now it's down to the Furlings!

Those little ewoks from the 200th episode of SG-1 is probably the closest we'll ever get sadly lol

Meanwhile, I fell asleep and missed Universe (ugh) but saw the finale 10 minutes or so, and just saw the first 15 or so minutes. I liked what I saw (especially Daniel Jackson giving the video into to the Stargate lol) but I still need to see the remaining 1+ hours of it. I'll catch it again hopefully or see it on Hulu or whatever tomorrow etc.

To me the Asgard are gone and done. I'd rather they explore new stuff than cling to old stuff.

That chick near the end called the engine an FTL drive. She must be a BSG fan. :D It seems like some people are calling Rush a poor copy of Baltar.

    • I’m still using an Xbox One S, so time for an upgrade to play this but as much as I hate Sony, I think I’ll get the ps5 pro
    • I bought this game. Played it for an hour, and then got a refund from Steam. Not a fun game at all.
