  1. 1. Who should lead on Destiny?

Love it, i was scared that it was going to be another SG-1 clone like Atlantis was, i half expected them to gain an alien team member in the first episodes. I love the tone and style of the show its very firefly/bsg. Im very excited what this show has to offer.

Pleasantly surprised about Eli as well, from the trailers i thought i was gonna hate him but he is the person i can identify with the most, and what was that game he was playing at the start, anyone think that it was Stargate Worlds MMO?

anyone notice that RDA has gained a little face weight? Wasn't as good as the SG-1 or Atlantis pilots. A little too much "drama" between characters and not enough action. Hope the next episode is a bit more exciting. I hope it doesn't turn into a boring soap opera in space with little bits of action and way too much drama scenes.

Meh, the whole thing felt slow and fairly boring to me. hopefully it picks up.

It may be different from SG1, but it's practically a clone of Atlantis though.

The go through gate, get stuck on "ship", can't go back. oh, and every episode there's either going to be an on ship/city crisis, or they're going exploring. the only difference is that they're on a ship traveling, which isn't really changing anything.

I suspect sometime in season 3 or 4, they'll figure out a way to have short gate connections to earth as well. seems like familiar territory.

oh and thank the writers the senator guy went and died, I wouldn't have been able to stand a show with him in it(the actor, and the character he plays wich is identical to every other role he has ever played).

It was good and I'm looking forward to the next episode.

I just hope it wont become a BSG-like Stargate since I felt a tad of BSG in there due to all the drama and I'm not a fan of BSG.

Thank you, that's what i'm talking about.

The pilot moved way too slowly....didn't really like all the switching between the flash backs and the present. That used up most of the pilots time, nothing much happened, they gate to ship, start to moan at each other, life support starts to fail, they find a planet, end.

****ing awesome, I'm hooked already. It's so dark, I love it.

that's how I felt, it has a BSG vibe to it and I love the new chracters, great to see the old crew back!

Eli is awesome :D

I actually preferred the flashbacks to the usual Stargate two-parters. It gave things a more suspensful and more urgent feel, but not rushed.

Overnight ratings are in already for ?Air? Parts 1 and 2, the series premiere of Stargate Universe! While lower than we had hoped, Syfy is touting the preliminary viewership numbers as the biggest premiere for the Stargate franchise in four years (since the debut of Atlantis?s second season).

The two-hour premiere averaged more than 2.35 million viewers, making for a 1.7 average household rating.

1.32 million adults ages 25 to 54 tuned in, and 1.12 million adults 18 to 49. In that second demographic, that?s the best performance for a Friday night series premiere since the debut of Battlestar Galactica in January, 2005, Syfy said.

The show also beat FOX?s Dollhouse at 9 p.m. A new episode of that show drew 2.1 million viewers.

The initial ratings data includes those who watched the show live, or DVR-delayed within 3 hours of broadcast. Complete ?Live + 7 days? data ? accounting for those who recorded the episode on DVR and watched later in the week ? will be available in abGateworld

So I have only watched 13 minutes of the pilot so far at the time of writing.

One thing I never understood, I guess I didn't read up on it too much, is the events of SG1 & Atantis in play? Is this a new timeline, if so why is Jack and others there....etc etc

Also noticed that one ship was called Hammond, assuming after the general, kinda awesome. If it is the same time as SG1 & Atlantis, is it during or after those series?

Thanks.

It takes place in the same timeline as SG-1 and Atlantis, and takes place after Atlantis. Although that will be explored later on I'm sure in the SG-1/Atlantis movies (we hope).

I never saw any of Atlantis so I really hope they don't go into that story, I don't really want to buy the seasons of Atlantis just so I know the back story but if anything comes up LOC is our man :p

    • I think he means you haven't reviewed previous UFC games. Of course it doesn't matter... Every time you just report on something that involves the President even if just simply what happened you guys usually get accused of being anti-Trump. We live in fun times.
    • So how did you solve the problem? Disabling Secure Boot isn’t a solution.
    • Another devilish issue surrounding these certificates is what can happen with old, unsuspecting PCs that nevertheless have Secure Boot enabled. In my case, it was a Dell with a 3rd-gen Core chip (so about 13 years old). As of the last few weeks, it was suddenly BSOD'g within about 5 minutes of booting. Turns out it was because of MS's "Secure-Boot-Update" scheduled task, which is scheduled to run 5 minutes after login. It's explained in gory detail here (this is not my post, but it was where I found the answer), but the short version is that this legacy system would need fairly elaborate, manual certificate intervention since MS's automatic cert update method cannot work. How to do that is linked late in the thread. https://www.bleepingcomputer.c...od-caused-by-scheduled-task Secure Boot wasn't at all important for this particular PC, so I disabled it to be done with the problem.

Winhance 26.06.12 changelog: Features Builder Mode — build a Winhance config file or autounattend.xml without changing anything on the PC you're sitting at. Flip the new mode switcher to Builder, set everything the way you want it, and save the result as a Winhance config or an autounattend file ready for deployment on other machines. Sponsors & Supporters page — the exit donation dialog is gone. In its place, an in-app page (heart icon or the More menu) recognizes the businesses and individual supporters who keep Winhance free. It works offline and is fully localized. Change History — Winhance now keeps a receipt of everything it does. ChangeHistory.txt records every setting change (before and after values) and every app install or removal, with clear headers for config imports and bulk actions. Open it from the More menu. Hebrew language support — Winhance is now available in 29 languages. New Explorer customizations: desktop icon visibility toggles, This PC folder visibility, an icon cache size setting, and automatic thumbnail cache cleanup. New "All apps view" setting for the redesigned Windows 11 Start menu, and the Windows 11 system tray icons setting is now a dropdown with more control. App-local UI zoom — press Ctrl +/-/0 or use Ctrl+MouseWheel to scale the whole app, just like a browser. New External Apps: EA app, Ubisoft Connect, Battle.net, Rockstar Games Launcher, PowerShell, and Helium Browser. Bug Fixes Layouts no longer clip when the Windows text size slider is set above 100%. Accessibility: Narrator now announces setting names on toggles and dropdowns, previously unlabeled buttons are labeled, and progress updates are announced. Silent updates now respect your custom install location instead of reverting to the default. Cancel in Review Mode no longer clears your app selections. OneNote is now detected correctly for Win32 Click-to-Run installs. Clean Start Menu applies more reliably by also writing the group policy path. WinGet errors are no longer silent — error details now show in the terminal output. Fixed a startup crash on older Windows builds caused by a .NET runtime regression. Config import now converts power setting values correctly and no longer re-applies an already-active power plan. Improvements App icons load noticeably faster and cover almost everything now, including legacy capabilities and optional features — they come from a dedicated, checksum-validated icon repository and are fetched in parallel. Software & Apps polish: per-icon tooltips, extra table columns, an app sort dropdown, relocated search, and a cleaner compact view. A warning now appears when the Connected Devices Platform Service is set to Manual or Disabled, since some Windows features depend on it.
