WTF the Lucian Alliance is going to be introduced as an enemy ...lame

im starting to get board with this show! theres nothing happening, even BSG by ESP 10 there was more happening! and then to read that spoiler makes me think they are wanting this show to finsih within 1-3 seasons.

The first half of Stargate Universe?s debut season will be out on DVD and Blu-ray high definition this February, TVShowsOnDVD.com is reporting.

?SGU 1.0″ will be available on February 9, 2010, with a heaping helping of bonus material and an extended version of the 3-part series premiere, ?Air.? The DVD edition will reportedly carry a suggested price of $49.98 U.S. ($59.98 CAN), and the Blu-ray $69.99 ($89.99 CAN) ? but of course, retailers will discount those. Pre-order the DVD set now for just $27.99 (price subject to change) at Amazon.com.

The three DVD discs and two Blu-ray discs will include ten episodes (counting ?Air? Parts 1 and 2 as two episodes, though they aired together), and an audio commentary for every episode. Commenters are:

Air, Parts 1 & 2 ? Brian J. Smith, David Blue and Elyse Levesque

Air, Part 3 ? Executive Producer Robert C. Cooper, Director Andy Mikita and VFX Supervisor Mark Savela

Darkness ? Actors Brian J. Smith, David Blue and Elyse Levesque

Light ? Actors Brian J. Smith, David Blue and Elyse Levesque

I must admit, Stargate it aint, I always have the feeling next episode it will start proper but so far it aint. This series seems to have forgotten what Stargate is. ADVENTURE and ACTION most of the time.

it is different on purpose, like DS9 was to TNG

Show is getting terribly boring for a SciFi, and I can't believe my prediction of them turnign SGU into Scripted SciFi Survivor show is coming true... Voting on guilty persons... oh come on....

anyway, I guess Eli is running a hackintosh, great ad for apple that, The greatest hacker/math mind in the world don't think the Apple hardware is worth ****.

^^

I feel the same, at the start I was all for sitting down and watching it but now its on my list "to watch" which means if I am really bored I'll watch it but I won't put myself out.

i really like it too :)

ditto, I think it's great. Much more a plot boiler than traditional episodic tv.

Last ep was awesome, I just hope that the ship they found doesn't conform to symetrically bipedal organisms meaning that rush can fly it, easily. Cos that would just be soooo unrealistic lol, y'know what I mean though, eh? they should do as much as possible to stop it reverting back to the old formula cos so far, so good.

Even with that known, you've still got to wonder how they got there. Did they gate in earlier undetected somehow via Icarus Base before the big attack on it? Did they hide among the crew until they could get away, likely on the ship that detached earlier in the season? They definitely can't get there on their own with their ships.

# "If the next three episodes up to the hiatus don't do it for you, I'll be surprised -- and sad you won't be watching any longer. Especially since the first episode back after the break is mine, 'Space,' and it's filled with all sorts of action and aliens and ship-to-ship battles."

(Consulting producer Joseph Mallozzi, in a post at his blog)

# When will we know more about the alien pod that detached from the Destiny at the end of "Air, Part 3?" Writer-producer Joseph Mallozzi gives this answer: "You will -- in about four episodes." This was following the broadcast of episode 107, meaning viewers should see this story continue in the mid-season two-parter.

# NEW! December 6 - Extraterrestrials are on the way to Stargate Universe when the show returns in April, 2010. "They're the coolest aliens we've ever had on Stargate. They're a very advanced, not very friendly, space-faring race."

(Executive producer Brad Wright, in the November 23 issue of TV Guide)

Hopefully people will tune in for those and not give up ;)

I still don't get SciFi....er SyFy. They ruined BSG's seasons by doing these 6+ month breaks in between episodes. It's just plain stupid if you ask me. And they wonder why ratings drop season to season for these shows.

Either way, Gateworld said recently that a renewel for a 2nd season was close, so at least we will get a 2nd season out of SGU. Then again, Gateworld said SG-1 was gonna get an 11th season renewel, and we know what happened with that one...

It's weird how I seem to be the only one on this forum that is loving this show. I think it's a nice change of pace from the old series. Honestly, I would find it a bit boring if it had the same formula.

+1 to all of these, I'm loving SGU!

Wait, the next episode of SGU isnt until April 2010??????????!!!!!!

Unless Sky continue to air the forthcoming episodes in the UK during the break like they have in previous years. TV shows in the UK never have mid-season breaks so they'll really be shooting themselves in the foot if they do break.

Wait, the next episode of SGU isnt until April 2010??????????!!!!!!

In the US it's not until April yes. It was going to be March but apparently they pushed it back to April now (along with Eureka's 2nd part of the season and Sanctuary).

    • 47% profit margin? Wtf!! I know companies are in business to make money but come on man. I know for a fact I'll never own one of these.
    • Most AI-powered mainframe migration vendors expected to fail by 2030, Gartner warns by Paul Hill Credit: Pexels You may have read that many companies still run code written in ancient programming languages like COBOL and pay a handsome sum for those who can maintain that code. Well, it looks like this area of the tech world could be the scene of an AI bubble. It turns out that there are mainframe exit vendors, helping companies move their legacy mainframe systems to modern cloud environments or servers such as Microsoft Azure and AWS, using generative AI tooling. Unfortunately, 75% of these vendors are now expected to pivot or cease operations as market realities take hold by 2030. Alessandro Galimberti from Gartner said: Some of the companies in the mainframe exit market are IBM, 21CS, BMC, Broadcom, Rocket Software, DXC, GTSG, and Kyndryl. The reasons some of these firms are expected to quit the market are a reset of market expectations and a decline in demand for one-size-fits-all migration solutions. The reset in expectations is likely to be driven by cost overruns and threats to business, and the potential occurrence of critical failures within businesses as a result of bad transition implementations. These insights from Gartner are pretty interesting because it’s a specific area of the market where doubt is being cast on generative AI. Many people have cast doubt on whether AI companies will successfully justify the massive amounts spent on GenAI to date, and this data from Gartner suggests the road could be rocky for GenAI.
    • Heaven forbid they lose pennies from their Trillions! Like always, the consumer pays the most. Why is Tim Cooks even talking.....shouldn't he be packing up his office??
    • If you have the budget...! Some solo or indies just want to either learn or start their game and aren't in a capacity to pay salaries or to contractors... Get real.
