  1. 1. Who should lead on Destiny?

You guys gotta remember that they had already finished filming every episode of the 1st season before they even aired a single episode. So the writers and producers couldn't take fan comments and backlash into consideration for the 1st season really at all. The 2nd season should be much better imo since they already know what people don't want to see anymore on a Stargate show (sex scenes) and what they want to see more of (aliens etc) and all that good stuff.

I suppose you're right. We'll see how it goes.

Plus, the back half of the 1st season is supposedly much better anyways, and has more action etc :)

Oh, I definitely didn't know that. I guess I can look forward to season 2 then. Not that this season is good, or bad for that matter. I find it decent and enjoyable.

I am a big BSG fan, have the full DVD collection, the full Blu-ray Collection...some figures and all that. Universe is nothing like BSG. I think Universe is on par with the other Stargate shows, which is my number 2 shows. Yes there needs to be some work done, and get some more story's going, but it's still awesome.

If you can't see the similarities then maybe you need your eye sight checked? Where to begin? moody characters, dark sets, slow moving, drama, soapy, fast camera panning, zooming in and out of scenes and peoples faces.

The only things universe has in common with stargate is the fact it has a gate and that they are on an ancient ship. (which happens to look like a c*ck.)

btw I'm not a fanboy, I just don't like it when a spin off tries to emulate another show that is not part of the series and seems to forget it's roots. I can handle spin offs from shows like star trek, csi, family guy, ncis as they tried to keep to the same format of the previous shows. Enterprise had more in common with star trek than universe has in common with stargate, and it wasn't a complete letdown from the pilot onwards. The writers managed to kee the drama elements to minimal amounts and didn't overuse them. There was decent story in each episode and all the characters were likeable.

The cast of universe look they have to strain all the time to force out some dialog and the leader greer or whatever his name is always looks like he's going to take a dump or cry. Eli has bad jokes, the women are just there for the eye candy and the tough looking ones will probably get killed off sometime or do something heroic in a cheesy way. Dr.Rush will most likely figure everything out suddenly and save the day.

I really hope they lay of using the communication stones as they serve no purpose other than to see family back home and bore us with some dull scenes, still sg-1 is to blame for introducing those darn things. This probably sounds like a rant but it's how I feel about the show. I hate it when good shows spawn bad spin offs with no characters than can relate to previous series characters in any way. They even have crappy uniforms, not much effort there in the design department.

And I thought I got into detail about shows and movies with my friends. I will believe your last post (needing my eyes checked) if you answer one question, did you watch BSG or do you just think you know what it is. Maybe your right, but I don't see it. Maybe a few similarities in camera work, but even the feel of the look and all that is not the same. I have watched every stargate movie and show, and all BSG stuff. I just don't see it, i do agree this stargate is nothing like the rest of the stargates.

Yup, I've seen various episodes of BSG, I could never get into it though, that's why I'm finding it hard to get into SGU, the two shows are quite similar. I don't like the wobbling camera angles, zooming, over use of drama & whinning characters, hearing the same blah blah at the beginning of each episode, no proper intro, outtro music isn't very epic. These kinds of things I noticed in BSG too. It's like they are trying way too hard to make it exciting with the background music dun dun dun dun, but that's just masking the fact there is no tension....

I can agree on the intro information. Both do that, but if you watch BSG from start to finish. The intro kinda works, cause it recaps, but then also shows whats going to happen this episode, but in a discrete way. Does not work for SGU

I used to hate it when BSG used to show what was coming up in the episode...used to skip at least the first minute on the dvd.

Really? I always found it genius. It showed you, but you still didn't really know what was going to happen. Got you ready for it, excited.

It's not a bad show, but it can't compare to its predecessors at all. I'm still mad Atlantis got canceled with so many loose ends. Huge bonehead move.

Wish that professor dude was dead though. Hate that guy.

There's a professor in stargate universe?

Actor Robert Carlyle ? SGU?s own Dr. Nicholas Rush ? will step behind the camera and make his directorial debut in an upcoming episode of Stargate Universe.

Carlyle is currently directing ?Pathogen,? written by Carl Binder, co-star Ming-Na (?Camille Wray?) confirmed via Twitter.

The episode will air fourth when Season Two premieres this fall, but it is the first to film.

    • Glow 26.10 by Razvan Serea Glow provides detailed reporting on every hardware component in your computer, saving you valuable time typically spent searching for CPU, motherboard, RAM, graphics card, and other stats. With Glow, all the information is conveniently presented in one clean interface, allowing you to easily access and review the comprehensive hardware details of your system. Glow provides detailed information on various system aspects, including OS, motherboard, processor, memory, graphics card, storage, network, battery, drivers, and services. The well-organized format ensures easy access to the required information. You can export all the gathered data to a plain text file, facilitating sharing with others for troubleshooting purposes. No installation needed. Just decompress the archive, launch the executable, and access computer-related information. Glow runs on Windows 11 and Windows 10 64-bit versions. Glow 26.10 changelog: New Features The bootstrapping algorithm has been completely redesigned. The software can now launch directly without requiring TS Preloader. As part of this change, the startup splash screen displayed during initialization has been removed. In addition, spikes in CPU usage have been eliminated, resulting in a more stable architecture with significantly lower memory consumption. The Microsoft Office detection infrastructure within the Operating System section has been enhanced. Additional detection support has been added for Office C2R (Click-to-Run) installations. Furthermore, the license status evaluation system has been improved, and the priority order has been revised as follows: Licensed > Grace Period > Other (NOTIFICATIONS, EVALUATION, etc.). Glow now includes preliminary support for Wi-Fi 8 technology, allowing more detailed information to be displayed for Wi-Fi 8-compatible network adapters. Glow now provides full support for Bluetooth 6.2. Adapters supporting Bluetooth 6.2 can be analyzed in greater detail and with improved accuracy. The disk distribution view in the Disk section has been modernized, replacing the traditional table layout with a new 2×2 card-based design. The TS Custom Controls module has been updated to v26.7. Thanks to the new custom controls, all Türkaysoft applications now offer a more modern and consistent user interface aligned with Windows 11 design standards. Bug Fixes Potential line-ending handling issues in the Office detection code within the Operating System section have been resolved. Additionally, the output format has been standardized to UTF-8 to prevent character encoding issues and ensure consistent data processing. Several stability and file management issues within the Debugging infrastructure have been addressed. Problems that prevented new log files from being created after Debugging was disabled, as well as issues causing debug records to be lost, have been fixed. File deletion and reaccess issues that occurred after file locks were released have also been resolved. In addition, a bug that caused newly recreated log files to remain locked after deletion has been eliminated. Unnecessary blank lines within debug logs and the extra empty line that could appear at the end of log files have also been corrected. A shortcut key conflict caused by assigning identical hotkeys to both the DNS Test Tool and the Donation page has been fixed. The DNS Test Tool can now be accessed using CTRL + Shift + D, while the Donation page is available via CTRL + Alt + D. Changes The service responsible for providing the Public IP Address and Internet Service Provider information in the Network section has been updated to use the ipinfo.io infrastructure. This change improves the accuracy and consistency of the displayed data. (No external requests are made while Hiding Mode is enabled.) Some terms in the Dutch and Korean language files have been updated to make them clearer and more user-friendly. [TS Updater] Before the update process begins, users are now prompted to choose whether they would like to view the release notes. Note: Always unzip the program before using it. Otherwise you may get an error. Download: Glow 26.10 | 1.8 MB (Open Source) Links: Glow Homepage | Screenshot | Github Get alerted to all of our Software updates on Twitter at @NeowinSoftware
