and **** the guinea pig films. what a let down those were. gah.

i'd love to make the most gore filled, offensive, vomit and suicide inducing film(s) of all time. multi-million dollar budgets. all of it would be spent on gore-related effects.

Maybe you don't like horror films, that fine, that's your right, but don't dare judge those of us who do. I'm a huge fan of horror, have been since I was a little kid and I turned out fine (other than the constant urge to drink blood, but that's beside the point :p ).

If you don't like horror films, don't watch them, but for me and my dark passenger, we will always love them and will continue to watch them all the days of our lives.

The truth about this filth must hurt if you're so into it. Who's judging? If you've been watching this stuff since childhood, you WILL have been affected detrimentally. It really is that simple. Oh, and I don't watch "horror movies"/filth for that very reason - I respect and value my mind enough to avoid harming it.

You don't know a thing about me. How can you say that I've been affected by it? Again, it may be filth to you, but it isn't to others. So leave us to watch the films, no one is forcing you to. :rolleyes:

There was a film about a girl and her little sister, who was held and raped and abused to death by some boys and their mother in the basement of their house. I can't remember the title though. Now that was pretty messed up (this coming from a lifetime ogrish member). It wasn't gory but very depressing. And it was a true story according to the film makers.

If you can be affected so easily by a movie so you avoid them at all cost then there was already something wrong with your mind in the first place ;)

Some of us in the other hand can enjoy a work of fiction without any trouble.

Horror movies, work of fiction, is another art form that push other emotions. Nothing more. It's not filth and if you're a stable person (not already mental), you should be able to deal with it without any problem.

You have to be pretty weak to fall from watching a horror movie.

Well, I've seen some some of these movies and they are nothing special, nothing really impressive, I guess I'm not impressed easily. Just saw Wrong Turn 1 and 2 some people here said they were good, well, they are not bad, but not that inpressive, even SAW 3 can do better than that in my opinion. I've also seen Clockwork Orange, to the people who mentioned it, why did you do so? I really didn't understand, it's a pretty lame movie.

I love the Cube trilogy, yet they are not really impressive in terms of gore and the story on the third movie is somewhat lame too.

oh and Texas chainsaw massacre would be good too, not too much gore :)

I'm off to see August Underground, I hope it is as good as everyone says.

I've been going off the IGN list.

I had already seen Cannibal Holocaust, Ichi the Killer, and Guinea Pig: Flower of Flesh and Blood prior to discovering the IGN list. I just recently had the chance to view Cutting Moments and Aftermath (to me, it seemed reminiscent of the series Tales from the Crypt, albeit with just a tad bit more gore and necrophilia). I'll try to get to the rest of the list in the next few days or so.

Basically, I'm just trying to say that according to alsheron's logic, I'm ****ed :p . Oh, and I'm a smoker as well :laugh:.

its not like saw or anything, but some of Gone Baby Gone is pretty sick (not gory, just sick).

as for gory sick stuff, i'd agree with ichi the killer. i bought this after seeing a tv show about japanese cinema, and did not expect what i saw...

The Girl Next Door. (Now I will probably have made you laugh, because you think about this one, but I am referring to this one).

This movie doesn't really show a whole lot of the gore, but just take a notice of Aunt Ruth, and how she is more and more loosing it. Also the fact what she did (and let) do to the girl in her basement is sickening, especially when you realize this movie is based on a true story.

And this movie is completely funked up, not even going to describe it. Also based on true events, live autopsies et cetera, what the hell, really. :/
