Obama scares the hell out of me.... The way he just came out of nowhere and swept the country (and the world?) by storm.... they way he has millions of followers thinking he's gods gift to the world's problems... this dude reeks of "anti-christ"........

Needless to say, *I* am not voting for him.

you are joking, right?

I mean, there is just no way someone really believes this.

it'd be a good idea to give voters a test, just so we are sure there aren't individuals who vote for s*** reasons.

PS- why should this be a non-us question? He's running for prez in MY country.... why should my opinion not matter?

It's not that it doesn't matter. It's just that the subject of this thread is to know what people from other countries feel about it.

I picked Obama in the poll. Like mentioned before, it's because I think McCain is just Bush, part III.

Who owns them? Does he just rent seven houses?

I see in the overwhelming news about McCain not knowing how many homes he owns, you didn't hear that he actually owns none of them, and many news agencies can't even get the number right for who does.

Yeah, just further proofs how dumb US religious people are.... anti-christ.. lol

world power, ha.

Let me take a wild guess that Obama is winning this pole. Whatever, I hope Obama wins so that he can see how hard a job it really is when fuel prices continue to rise which will in turn continue to keep the world economy down. Although I'm sure when Obama suggests more drilling and the building of pipelines once he's president because that's when people want results and not just mindless talk we won't be hearing about how he's trying to destroy the environment. Of course if a Republician tried to do the exact same thing he would be lampooned by the media. I mean Democrats won congress 2 year ago and they have a lower approval rating then Bush but Republicans are evil and Democrats can do no wrong in the eyes of the media. Ron Paul would be the best candidate in my opinion.

Obama for me.

Oh and has it been mentioned before that it's "Schwarzenegger" and not "Swarchenegger"?^^

No one would ever possibly vote for Swarchenegger, because we all know he's a prick! :p

Obama: "Eight is Enough"

Personally, I think Obama would be the best for us (Canada) to work with. We all know Bush did SFA for Canada-US relations, and I can't see McCain doing much more.

They might apply Palin's experience to Canada. You know, Alaska is beside Canada, so he must have extensive experience with Canada.

I never understood the fear of a candidate coming out of nowhere and winning an election. I mean, we make movies about that kind of story. Republicans especially LOVE that kind of man. The every man! A normal Joe, a common person. It worked for Robin Williams, eh?

I mean, the Republican party is probably the only group of people who can simultaneously call Obama an elitist and a nobody without their heads imploding. Not to mention the only party that can revere an actor as if he were the second coming of Christ, just to be terrified of an opponent people get excited about. If anything, it's a great way to clarify who the dittoheads are.

I would say obama since he seems only one with his head screwed on when it comes to foreign policy and actually resolving conflict in middle east and help redeveloping afghanistan and other things. Someone like mccaine who would like flexing us military's muscles specially with things like iran i certainly would prefer not to get dragged into more messes then what's been done in afghanistan etc. He also only respectful person i've seen running for election so that's where my choice would lay.

Oh, his wife owns the seven homes, not him. I guess you can't be expected to know how many houses your wife has. Well, hopefully, if he ever gets divorced again, he'll get half.

McCain. He seems more in touch with wealth creation.

I don't see what the big deal is with the question about his houses. It's not only irrelevant, but it really is difficult to answer as property will rarely be registered to the owner's name. Wealthy people have complex tax strategies, so it really was a useless question to ask.

Did you even read the link or find out if they really all under her name (which they aren't)? Have some objectivity for once in your life.

Im thinking McCain. Honestly ive had enough with all these 3rd world countries pushing us about, asking for aid, selling us their oil and crops, allowing us to vacation there and basically being poor and undeserving. Its obvious Jebus doesnt like them, he favors the rich. Its about time America elected a real war monger, Nixon style, so the developed world can finally put these poor people in their place. Obviously bomb Iran as his first act and probably nuke Russia as well. If that doesnt start world war 3 and bring about the rapture I dont know what will. Then me, McCain, Bush, Bill O'Reilly and the seven fattest kings of Europe can sit on our clouds and watch the heathens burn in hell.

Or on the other hand, Obama, he seems nice.

Oh and im pro choice, Bush should have been aborted.

    • Ford execs say they made a mistake when they replaced human engineers with AI by David Uzondu Ford recently announced that over the last three years, it's had to rehire about 350 "gray beard" engineers to mentor younger staff and reprogram diagnostic systems and AI tools that were failing to meet up to quality expectations. The company's VP of vehicle hardware engineering, Charles **** said that leaders overlooked the deep experience of veterans who survived many product cycles. **** admitted that simply replacing them with AI was a huge mistake, and that while AI is "a fantastic tool," it remains "only as good as the information you use to train it." The rehired engineers now run mandatory meetings to troubleshoot vehicles and reprogram automated engineering software and AI tools to prevent glitches before production. These technical specialists hunt for failure points before a part ever reaches the plant floor. This hands-on process prevents the massive recalls and defects that previously cost the company billions. CEO Jim Farley noted that this return to human oversight quickly decreased warranty coverages and recall costs. The change saves the automaker hundreds of millions of dollars as it aims to cut one billion dollars in expenses this year. In last year's JD Power Quality Survey, an annual study that measures the quality of a car during the first three months of ownership, Ford finished 10th among mainstream brands and scored below the industry average. But this year, JD Power ranked the automaker as the top mainstream brand, placing it above the likes of Toyota Motor Corp. and Honda Motor Co. Ford attributed this massive improvement directly to the expertise of these returned engineers. Ford's realization that AI cannot magically design and test quality vehicles without senior human oversight is just the tip of the iceberg. When Careerminds looked at companies that conducted AI-driven layoffs, researchers found out that 35.6% of those companies had to rehire more than half of the employees they previously fired. Another 32.7% had to rehire between 25% and 50% of them. In 2024, Sebastian Siemiatkowski, CEO of Klarna, proudly announced that its new chatbot was doing the work of 700 full-time customer service agents. As a result, the fintech company froze hiring and cut hundreds of positions. But by mid 2025, and into 2026, Klarna was scrambling to recruit human agents again because customer satisfaction had plummeted. It turns out, while AI is very good at answering basic questions like how to check an account balance, when faced with complex customer issues that require nuance, the thing usually resorts to the unhelpful, robotic corporate jargon we all know and love.
    • Free AI in IDEs is shifting to paid models Or you know, you could just learn to actually design and code apps, use frameworks to handle the repetitive parts and not use AI at all - and voila... free for life!
    • In a sane world US antitrust laws wouldn't even allow these companies to be in the position to be subjected to EU directives. As you say, better than oligarch nothing.
    • Apple reportedly has a second-generation iPhone Fold planned for 2027 Good grief, Apple hasn't even released a first folding phone and the Apple faithful is already obsessing over the sequel? Seriously people, go out and touch grass... because this level of obsession is borderline stalkery/neurotic.
