"The Amazing Spiderman" (2012)

Chris Zylka, who has been in smaller films like "Kaboom", had been revealed as a cast member of the new Marc Webb directed "Spider-Man" reboot just less then a month ago courtesty of his Twitter. Within the article I did reporting Zylka giving a confirmation of his involvement, I gave the news that Zylka would most likely be playing Eugene "Flash" Thompson in the film.

Flash was Peter Parker's high school/college nemesis, who picked on him throughout school. But this new set pic of Zylka with Emma Stone seems to hint that the actor will actually be playing Harry Osborn, played by James Franco in the original Sam Raimi Spider-Man films.

Why is Chris Zylka probably Harry Osborn, NOT Flash? Look at his hair and build, that is much more "Harry" like, and Harry and Gwen did date in the comic books mainly. Gwen dated Flash, but I dont beleive it was anything long-term.

"Spider-Man" will be released on July 3, 2012, with Marc Webb directing and starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Chris Zylka, Irrfan Khan, Martin Sheen, Sally Field, Annie Parisse, Campbell Scott, Julianne Nicholson

RUMOR: Plot Outline for "Spider-Man" Reboot

The movie begins with a thief invading the Parkers house, where he is confronted by Ben Parker (Martin Sheen). Ben says that it was faith that brough them together and is shot by the thief and dies.

Following the prologue, there's a "Watchmen"-esque opening sequence retelling Peter Parker's (Andrew Garfield) origin and his first days as Spider-Man. After it is done, we see Peter in his house, waking up to the sound of a police radio reporting a massacre at the Empire State University, where he studies.

He goes there as Spider-Man and meets police Captain George Stacy (Dennis Leary). He also finds a picture of his parents, Richard (Campbell Scott) and Mary (Julianne Nicholson), among the debris. He has a Flashback of the day they gave him to Ben and decides to aks about them to his Aunt May (Sally Field). When she refuses to answer, Peter storms off.

The following day, Peter and his best friend, Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) go to college, where Peter finds out that their teacher, Dr. Curt Connors (Rhys Ifans) is missing and that his wife and son are looking for him. He promises that he'll let them know if he hears anything.

Meanwhile, Captain Stacy finds evidence that the murderer from the ESU might he hiding in the sewers. He sends in a team, but they are attacked and slaughtered by the Lizard. Spider-Man appears and fights the Lizard, but is defeated and the creature escapes. However, he manages to retreive a piece of its' clothing.

Spider-Man then comforts one of Stacy's men in his last moments and has a Flashback of the day he confronted Uncle Ben's murderer at a old warehouse and chose to spare him, leaving him hanging on a webb to be find by Stacy, who, at the time, was only a detective.

The following day, Peter analyzes a DNA sample of the Lizard's clothing and discovers that he is Dr. Connors. He has a Flashback of when he and Connors worked together to develop a serum based on reptile DNA that could give amputees their missing limbs back. Peter supected that Connors could be testing the serum on himself, but ultimately tough he was imagining things.

That night, Peter invades ESU as Spider-Man and steals Dr. Connors' diaries and videologs about his experience. He is then attacked by the Lizard and tries to appeal to Dr. Connors' personality, but fails. He goes back home tired and has a nightmare where the ghosts of Richard, Mary and Ben berate him for failing to save them. He calls Gwen and they meet outside her house. She invites him in and he is formaly introduced to Captain Stacy, who then heads for work.

In the kitchen, Peter finds a file about one of police's cold cases: The deaths of Richard and Mary Parker. He steals it, calls ESU and tells them he's sick and then reads the file. It details how Richard and Mary broke in a major pharmaceutical company called Oscorp to investigate the disappearence of several civillians, only to find out that they were being experimented upon by CEO Norman Osborn and his head-scientist, Dr. Nels Van Atter (Irfan Khan). Several of Spider-Man's future enemies are referenced on this scene.

Richard and Mary find the evidence they need and escape. Van Atter calls Osborn and tells him what happened. Osborn explodes Richard and Mary's car and covers it up as a car accident. Peter is furious. Aunt May comforts him.

Realizing he can't change the past, but he can help in the future, he studies Dr. Connors' videologs and creates a antidote for the Lizard Serum. He then heads for the last place the Lizard has been seen: The same warehouse where he confronted Uncle Ben's murderer. Captain Stacy heads there too.

Spider-Man and the Lizard fight and Peter manages to inject the antidote into the Lizard's bloostream, reverting him back to Connors. However, the building starts to collapse and Captain Stacy is hit by the debris while saving a fellow cop. He dies in Spider-Man's arms after telling him he did good.

Gwen heads for her father's funeral while Peter leaves Captain Stacy's file on a desk at NYPD, alongside evidence that confirms Osborn murdered his parents. Osborn is arrested and finds a note saying this was courtesy of "his friendly neighboor Spider-Man". He swears revenge.

A few days later, Peter and Aunt May are helping Gwen pack some of her things when Peter finds a attic with several files about cold cases secretly collected by Captain Stacy, all possibly connected to Oscorp and their illegal genetic experiments. He sets to solve them all. The movie's final swing happens. Troughout it, we can hear Peter's tough, providing insight on what he's thinking in several scenes, much like in the comics and cartoons.

Did I mention he's better looking than the last one? ;) Also - gotta agree with the editors over at /Film - Sony oughta bite the bullet, and release an 'official' pic, even if it's out of costume.

Hopefully they give him a haircut though, not sure I want to see the spiky Twilight looking hair on Spiderman.

At this point, it will be no surprise that Stan "The Man" Lee will have a cameo in the upcoming Untitled Spider-Man Film, starring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, but it was confirmed earlier this evening by his excited tweets on Twitter that producer Avi Arad called him to tell him what his cameo would be, and that this time, he would be in an actual action scene.

Here's what was tweeted about his appearance:

"It?s been an exciting week for me, but I got a phone call last night that really flipped me out! I?m bustin? to tell you about it. My pal Avi Arad, producer of the new Spider-Man movie, called to tell me how excited he is about the film. Then came the surprise?Avi told me my cameo is all set for Spidey 4, and when he described it, I realized it?s the best, most unusual one yet!I wish I could tell you what my cameo is, but that would kill the surprise. But I?ll tell you this much?I?m finally in an action scene!"

Hmmmm interesting, worth noting. :p There would probably be some other silly movie to compare it too :p

And yes i'd hit emma, many, many times

Suit looks good, actor doesn't look to fit the role though. Of course I'll have a better idea of that when a trailer is eventually released.

Saw him in The Social Network. What a depressing character (and suit/atmosphere). Isn't Spidey the opposite. Unless this is going to be a Nolan dark type superhero movie.

    • But the reality is it will work for people's needs, and they don't care about the technology that makes it. Clearly not everyone's needs, but that low end space where personal laptops were only used to type emails, watch content and browse websites, but they didn't want to do that on a small screen device. Heck, writing that out I can now see the connection and reason it'll do so well. Apple is about experience. If the experience is bad, they don't release it. Low end Windows laptop manufacturers up until this point have not taken that into consideration ever before, so slow laggy usage with brittle slimey plastic shells were common. I hope that the low end space at least creates better physical products that last a bit longer, and if Microsoft get their act together, they could also have a solid OS on such low end hardware that would actually make the experience work for what the hardware was intended for. The fact that the CPU is a "cellphone", sorry mobile phone processor is irrelevant. It's about the experience, and so far, that sounds quite solid.
    • Hello, Bonjour is Apple's implementation of a multicast-DNS service, which allows devices running Apple's software and/or hardware to find each other on your local network.  I believe the Windows version was last updated around 2010. If you do not need it, you can stop and disable the Bonjour service in the Services Control Manager (filename: SERVICES.MSC).  Once you have done that, the operating system will no longer attempt to load the service. • This AMD RX 9070 16GB GPU that performs close to Nvidia 5070 is under $600 by Sayan Sen With the memory shortage that's prevalent nowadays, discounts are super-hard to get. As such we post good deals whenever they pop up. Recently, we covered a few great discounts on SSDs wherein you can get a 4TB TeamGroup NVMe PCIe Gen4 drive for just $400 thanks to a special coupon. If you want a faster product but don't need all that capacity, you can also opt for Samsung's 990 PRO 2TB that is on sale for its lowest price in over three months. Let's say though that you are on the hunt for a 1440p gaming card. In that case AMD's RX 9070 non-XT can help, and with its 16GB VRAM, you can also run AI models locally without worrying about bottlenecking (check out our recent 9070 GRE reviews for gaming and productivity to get an idea). The PowerColor Reaper variant of the RX 9070 is currently on sale for just $580 which is a very good price in the current state of affairs (purchase link under the specs table down below). The Reaper cooler on this 9070 uses a triple‑fan design with ring‑blade fans, paired with premium dual ball bearings to extend lifespan and reduce friction. "Intelligent" fan control allows the fans to remain idle at lower temperatures, only spinning up when the GPU is under load. A nickel‑plated copper base makes direct contact with both the GPU and memory modules, helping to spread heat evenly. PowerColor also applies Honeywell PTM7950 phase‑change thermal interface material (TIM), which fills microscopic gaps between the die and heatsink for more efficient thermal transfer. The fan shroud is shorter in height as the firm has made it such that it can be used in certain SFF (small form factor) cases. The technical specifications of the Reaper RX 9070 are given in the table below: Specification Value Stream Processors 3584 Units Video Memory 16GB GDDR6 Memory Speed 20.0 Gbps Memory Interface 256-bit Engine Clock Game Clock: up to 2070 MHz Boost Clock: up to 2520 MHz Bus Standard PCI Express 5.0 x16 Display Connectors 1 x HDMI 2.1b, 3 x DisplayPort 2.1a Maximum Resolution DisplayPort: 7680 × 4320 HDMI: 7680 × 4320 Board Dimensions 289mm × 111mm × 41mm 304mm × 127mm × 42mm (with bracket) Slot 2 Minimum System Power Requirement 600W Power Connectors Two 8-pin PCI Express Get the PowerColor Reaper RX 9070 at the links below (you get only a 90-day warranty on Woot): PowerColor Reaper Radeon RX 9070 16GB Graphics Card (RX9070 16G-A): $579.99 (Sold and Shipped by Amazon US) (Was: $700) PowerColor Reaper Radeon RX 9070 16GB Graphics Card (RX9070 16G-A): $559.99 (Sold and Shipped by Woot US) Good to know This Amazon deal is U.S. specific, and not available in other regions unless specified. • Are they marketed as an entry into astronomy or astrophotography? I do astrophotography. With big rigs, lots of computers, cables and headaches. I love it. And by learning this ridiculously complex hobby, I’ve learned about the objects I’m shooting. Astronomy followed from photography.
