So who do you think he is? Norman Osbourne maybe?

I don't know.. I don't think he is Osborne at all to be honest. It wouldn't make sense for such a high figure to be imprisoned without no mentions of his capture and imprisonment in the movie. I think the person is working for Osborne .. maybe a side character that knows both Richard Parker and Norman Osborne.

I think its quite obviously Osborne when you look at the actor who was playing the man in the shadows. Also, I don't think he was in prison (as in imprisoned) he was just in the prison cell for a little chat.

just saw this last night and i thought it was fantastic, much better than the other spiderman movies.

I completely disagree.

This actor who plays Spider-Man...I never feel he is Peter Parker; I hardly feel he is Spider-Man.

Also they did the robber kills uncle (yes, I know its part of the Spider-Man story) thing like in the first trilogy. Did they really have to do it again more so when his love intrest is Gwen.

I personally think it was horrible.

Well, this was a reboot after all, an unneeded one IMHO, and it was only because Sony wanted to keep the rights, had they not made another Spider-Man movie, the rights would've returned to Disney/Marvel.

Also, Gwen was Peter's first love interest, long before Mary Jane was introduced.

1 flick in first trilogy: Robber kills uncle and MJ is love intrest

1 flick in second trilogy: Robber kills uncle and Gwen is love intrest

Its the same event and different at the same time; Is this a Spider-Man in a parallel universe? Are there two?

Did you not read what I posted? Gwen was Peter's FIRST love interest, long BEFORE Mary Jane was introduced!

This is not a parallel universe.

It's a reboot, not a remake.

The reboot then has parts of what would be the remake :p They should have gone with a whole different story/timeline.
