I think I should have waited a week to play this game, when my new GTX260 (216) arrives. :D

Although I don't know what you mean "getting close to dx 10 iq" in warhead dx 9 and 10 mode look identical. There is no difference at all.

I was sure that dx10 had a different colour cast - perhaps not! The comp I'm using is a Q6600, ATI 4870, 8GB ram and Vista
That Guy Veteran Posted September 28, 2008 Veteran Share Posted September 28, 2008 I've just completed Crysis Warhead in about 5 hours. I ran it on a Q6600 @ 3Ghz with a 8800GT and it played excellently (DX9, Gamer/Enthusiast). Perhaps it's because I'm British, but I prefer Physco to Nomad :D It had a much fasterr pace than the original Crysis, and I don't remember ever having a moment without action. This is one game where I feel like I've just participated in an action film, although graphical limitations do restrict it quite a lot (partly because there's still no single card that will play Crysis maxed out with FPS of 60 or above). An excellent game, which I honestly think beats the original Crysis. It's nice to know that the only limit to how realistic video game graphics can get to is the technology we can run it on. ViperAFK
DUDE! that config posted earlier OWNS, FPS is smooth as butter on my 9600gt and it looks as good as enthusiast. i recommend everyone get that config.
splicer707
Well. In between the load crashes and jittery game-play at times. Just finished the game. That was good. Really good. (Y) Well done Crytek. My only other thought was, that once played; just can't imagine wanting to play this game again.
+Mystic MVC Posted September 29, 2008 MVC Share Posted September 29, 2008 Am I the only one that have a negative effect with that mod posted above? I played the first level and didn't see much of an increase (or decrease). I did try playing where I had left off, the assault outside the frozen mine and I was seen FPS in the area of 10-20 if I was lucky. Did I do something wrong? :p
