mamamamamamama
What about downgrading? I'm currently on 1.1.4, how hard is it to downgrade to 1.1.4 once i've upgraded to 2.1?
mamamamamamama
Yes, all AppStore apps will continue to work with the 2.1 firmware. The greatest updates are in stability; FW v2.1 is almost as stable as the rock-solid FW v1.1.4 now, so I consider it a very important update. Oh, btw , i was referring to cydia apps =)

I'm currently on 1.1.4, how hard is it to downgrade to 1.1.4 once i've upgraded to 2.1? Honestly, you will not want to downgrade from 2.1 to 1.1.4, but if you do want to, you can just do a restore, and it will go back to 1.1.4 (aslong as you restore with that firmware). the exact same way you upgraded to 2.1, you can do to downgrade to 1.1.4 Oh, btw , i was referring to cydia apps =) the apps you currently have on 1.1.4, will not work on 2.x. You will need to find the upgraded version of that app, or download a new type of app, that does the samething. It is very easy to find what your looking for in Cydia, it is honestly such a useful program, and I have downloaded way more 2.x apps then I ever had on 1.1.4. The apps are bigger, better, and are just so much cooler on 2.x!
mamamamamamama
Worked like a charm. 1.1.4 felt more stable though. And the new wedict (dled from the appstore) sucks, it's laggy and sluggish. Any cool repositories for cydia?

- jigz -
I'm curious, I want to jailbreak my iPod Touch but if a new firmware comes out and I want to upgra it will I be able to upgrade with jailbreak? with every upgrade of a firmware, the jailbreak will be lost, since the firmware is replacing most of the files that are used to jailbreak in the first place. Martyn
Scratch my question. It looks like the iPod Touch 2G cannot be jailbroken as yet. Does anyone have an inclination of when it is likely to be?
