****! Knew I should have pre-ordered it last night :(

-Rich-

Why why why! do you people always wait and give them the chance to correct the problem?! Even in the 360 topic people always wait until it's too late to take advantage of XBL point glitches etc. Makes no sense to me

What are Amazon like for misprices? Some people on hotukdeals say they honour them while others say it's likely to get cancelled.

See post #272

Brilliant price for Batman Arkham Asylum at The Hut, ?22.44 Pre-Order.

Use HUT10 in the discount box to get 10% off so the price comes down to ?22.44.

Very tempting, seeing as the Joker is exclusive to the PS3.

Well I got home late last night with my gf and I flicked through my RSS feeds and saw something about it and figured I'd have a proper look today :(

2 games for ?30

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/part...ext%3ESOCOM.htm

Go to special offers.

You can even add 2 of the same, if you want you can get two copies of Socom that both comes with a headset for ?30. 2 headsets for ?30 is good, and you can sell one of your copies of Socom.

Ooh, that's very tempting, but no hurry, as the offer ends on January 22nd 2010:p :p

I'm thinking of grabbing Ferrari Challenge + MotorStorm Pacific Rift for that offer, but I might swap Ferrari Challenge for SOCOM Confrontation, if it definitely comes the headset. I thought the game was utter balls when I rented it from LoveFilm, but if I can get it for ?15 with the official headset, I'll learn to like it:p; :p Can anyone confirm it? I'm not entirely sure, as it doesn't mention a headset at all, and there is a version with just the game.

It's pretty hard to tell unless you know someone who took a gamble and bought it.

But, the RRP on Argos is ?39.99 which is the same RRP of the version with the headset.

The versionwithout> the headset was ?19.99 RRP

*checks Play.com*... so it is!:):) Thanks, DM! I think I'll take the gamble, but I've gotta wait for some money to come in first, as I bought a Nike+ Sportband last week:p:p Shouldn't take too long though, as I'm currently covering an extra two paper rounds for a fortnight. It's hell, but it's gonna net me ?80 in just two weeks:D :D

Forget Socom, not available in Plymouth, or anywhere near, I was gonna get it also, but no luck.

Oh and its not for delivery either:((

Batman Arkham Asylum

Found at HotUKDeals

Damn that's tempting as it does seem to be shaping up to be a potentially good game. If the deals still going after the demo on Thursday I'll probably jump on it (if I like the demo).

The foil hat is coming off :o

I'd order now and then you know the preorder is safe before they stop taking them or change price.

On a side now, the game appears to be going for 20% off in the States too.

I've just done that, I can cancel the pre-order. At that price it's too good not to take a gamble on, especially when you can cancel.

Just because I suspect 'trickery' involved in the review side of things doesn't mean the actual game can't be good. I wait for all the reviews, no point in pre-judging a game before you get an honest range of opinion on it ;)

Also looks like it's legit

I'll be the first to shoot Eidos down, trust me, I really loathe the company. Batman looks like a really good game, which is twice the praise from me because I hate DC Comics :p

If it sucks in the end then I'll be staying well clear of their games for the foreseeable future. Well, unless Miss Croft turns up :p

By the way Amazon finally added placeholder box art for GT5 - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-Gran-Turismo-...mp;s=videogames

Looks like they won't be deleting the item and re-listing it (as a way of canceling pre-orders). Hope +1.

 sales of GT5 were up 17,700%

DM you said earlier Folklore was cancelled, happened with Lair also, but both of those games were before Amazons pre-order price guarantee which started on the 25th February 2008. Looks like they might need to bite the bullet on this one, fingers crossed.

lol I like how PS3 fanboy sites are now spinning this like the game is so incredible it's beating everyone in the market.

    • Apple reportedly looks to blacklisted Chinese memory chips as RAM prices climb by Karthik Mudaliar Image via Apple Apple is reportedly trying to get a clearance from the Trump administration to buy memory from ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT) to get some relief from soaring DRAM prices. As per a report by the Financial Times, Apple approached the Commerce Department more than a month ago and also spoke to other officials and allies in Washington. For starters, CXMT is a company that's already been placed on the Pentagon's list of Chinese military companies. The Chinese company is the country's top DRAM maker. For Apple, the timing is certainly awkward but not surprising. Tim Cook had recently warned that Apple would have to raise prices because AI companies are buying up large amounts of memory for data centers, and just like that, Apple raised MacBook and iPad prices. Micron also recently revealed that customers have committed billions of dollars to secure memory supply years in advance, which shows us how aggressive securing infrastructure has become. This gives suppliers such as Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron more leverage, while pushing hardware makers to look for alternatives. CXMT is one of those alternatives, but not the simplest one. Apple has spent many years trying to diversify parts of its supply chain away from China, especially for final assembly, while still depending heavily on Chinese manufacturing and suppliers. Even domestic brands from China are moving towards CXMT and YMTC instead of relying on Samsung, Micron, and SK Hynix. For Apple, though, it would invite more scrutiny than local Chinese companies. For now, this is more like a lobbying effort rather than a confirmed supply deal. There's no official statement from either of the parties. What is clearer, though, is the pressure behind such a request. AI demand has certainly made hardware a bottleneck, and companies are trying everything they can to bring things back to normal, even if that means making politically sensitive choices. • I did test it a month or so back, but ... the results I expect to be on the first page are not there.
    • Neowin is saying these are good prices? Thats crazy. As others have said they are just ######. Time for big tech to bring down the prices for real not this fake crap.
    • The iFlyTek AINote 2 is among the thinnest E-Ink tablets. It has an EMR stylus, a built-in fingerprint reader, and plenty of built-in AI features. You had me until "and plenty of built-in AI features." That and any company that still does the iProduct naming trope is an immediate pass. It suggests the company isn't very imaginative or creative and is trying to piggyback off another company's success. Extremely lame. Also kind of expensive. Better choices at lower prices out there.
    • These are not "great" prices... just "less awful". Apparently "Those who forget the past are doomed to pay higher prices and think they've won."
