15-Yr Old Faces Child Porn Charges

Recommended Posts

I remember not too long ago a case where the individual was charged and found guilty of possession of child pornography. The evidence, several small resolution thumbnails that were preserved in his web browser cache, where has reasonable doubt gone? Did that get tossed out the window? Did Bush take it away when I wasn't looking?

ha.. didnt even think of that family guy episode where stewie did that... btw its also illegal to take pics of yourself in underwear under 18 too if you go by what they've charged people with in the past

wtf is brooke shields doing in that movie kissing that guy ...

The article mentions nudity but not sexually explicit conduct. Child pornography charges must show that the production of the photos involved a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct or that the visual depiction itself shows such conduct. (US Code, Title 18, Part I, Chapter 110, Section 2252.) If no sexually explicit conduct was involved, the child pornography charges won't stick. As far as I know, no laws exist to forbid the photographing of a nude minor in a nonsexual context. (Naturist families can legally take photos of their naturist children, for example.) They might be able to charge her with distributing the photographs to other minors, though.

15-Year-Old Girl Faces Child Porn Charges for Nude Cell Phone Pictures of Herself

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,434645,00.html

NEWARK, Ohio ? Central Ohio authorities have filed felony charges against a 15-year-old girl accused of taking nude cell phone photos of herself and sending them to high school classmates.

Police say the Newark Licking Valley student was arrested Friday and held over the weekend. On Monday, she entered denials to juvenile charges of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material and possession of criminal tools.

A spokeswoman for the Ohio attorney general's office says an adult convicted of the child pornography charge would have to register as a sexual offender, but a judge would have flexibility on the matter with a convicted juvenile.

A prosecutor says Licking County authorities also considering charges for students who received the photos.

This same exact thing happened at my Daughter's High School. The girl that did it was the same age, she was not charged with anything. The humiliation she received was enough.

I think that's part of the larger issue, these girls are not feeling humiliated by these pictures in most instances, and they leak quite frequently to Internet image boards from the original recipients. It's growing acceptable among the youth culture and becoming more frequent.

That is exactly what this girl did, posted it on the Net. The one I know.

What the hell the states laws have something to do in this?

This should even stay within the family and her, well, probably the school as well.

There is nothing "criminal" in this, it's an underage that take pics of her and send them to other underage kids FFS.

According to this, any underage kids that have sex with other underage kids should be held responsible for underage sex...

I would have thought a talking to about self respect from a responsible adult, while ensuring the photos were deleted by anyone else - would be more than enough.

This is quite ridiculous. I thought those laws were meant to protect children from abuse, how about they go and look for someone who really should be prosecuted for child pornography, or would that be too much like hard work? You know, actually protecting abused and suffering children rather than ruining the life of someone's whose main crime was stupidity..

Absolutely. This is absurd!

wha?

you can't even choose to receive or block MMS. If she sent them, how are the students responsible for receiving them? damn it, it is not even April yet.

This happened at my high school last year. I believe it happened 2 years prior to that too.

Administration normally doesn't catch it though. Last year a dumb freshman took nudes of herself then distributed them herself and blamed someone else for doing it. Obviously she doesn't pay the phone bill, or she would have relized that sending images are one of the things that show up on the bill. She didn't get charged with anything though.

No one has any self respect anymore.

at least in the UK, that is true though.

If you are underage, and have sex with an underage girl, you can get prosecuted for it.

So who gets charged if it's same age, same sex?

Both.

I think in the UK its:

If a underage Male has sexual relations with an underage Female.. the Underage Male (Note: Regardless of age difference, the Male is still charged if they are both underage.)

If a underage Male has sexual relations with an underage Male.. The oldest Male is charged.

If a underage Female has sexual relations with an underage Female.. Who knows, dont think there has been a case yet.

    • Looks like no official TBW rating, which should be a required listing in my opinion for sites like Amazon (hell, put it on the box too.)
    • I think I understood the article fine. Online password managers open users up to more possibilities of getting hacked, and due to KeePass being offline and local it reduces the idea of getting hacked. If someone chooses to put their database online they're kinda missing the point. With regards to the idea of the on-prem idea, I would have two issues. I'm not sure about the first issue, but I wouldn't be surprised about them offering a cloud storage for the passwords that most wouldn't bother to switch off, regardless of if they went for on-prem or not. The second issue is that the on-prem solution for Bitwarden costs money, whereas KeePass is free and open-source (as far as I am aware). The article points out how to sync the database between devices, and I recognise that deficiency in security. But it isn't a necessity. So both services can offer a same idea, but one is free and the other isn't...choices, choices.... But to each their own.

    • I am not surprised because life is the product of a lot of biochemical and physical processes that releases various energies as a by-product. The only thing new here is the detection of these photon emissions. The researches noted this "glow" is not a metaphysical one. They don't even immediately end when one is dead. Things like fires, light bulbs, and on a bigger scale stars release a lot more "light" and they are hardly alive.
