Adobe CS4 Coming on October 15

We'll the actual download (if you can find it) has a trial version in it for 30 days. I am just reading some comments on it, and people say there is a 30 day trial period... they just don't say where they got the file from, but it says to be smaller then 1 GB.

The trial versions are out, if you can find the links. Photoshop is extremely buggy on my mac, seems any changes I make to a layer do not show up on screen until I resize, zoom-in, or do anything with the document window :/.

Do love the new ui changes though, except for the nasty new icon :p

i have master collection for windows which you can download directly off adobe.com, if you know how. Do not PM me asking how. Anyway it is really amazing. the two best features in Photoshop, IMO, are canvas rotation and the content aware scaling. This is just unbelievable!!!!

Do they offer Photoshop as a standalone anymore? I don't even need the Extended. If so, how big does it weigh in as?

They don't have a "stand-alone" per say, but it does come with a few other small things, that you can opt not to install.

However, i can't get Photoshop CS4 to install.

I've just read on a french mac website (macbidouille) that CS4 can't be installed on a SSD. It seems like CS4 can only be installed on a standard no flash hard drive.

Bad news for those pro with SSD disk on their MBA

That's really weird, I don't see the reason they would have done that,.....

Yes they do, they have basic and extended. The extended was 845MB so basic would be less then that I would guess.

The same installer will install both Photoshop CS4 Standard and Extended. The version you get is supposed to be based on the CD key that you enter. :)

CS4 was released on October 15.

Do you mean release to ship to retailers? If so then that's not the same as being released to the general public for consumption. Amazon still doesn't have it on sale and like I said as of Oct. 18th, CS4 is not on Adobe's volume licensing website.

I have had CS4 media available on the volume license site since the afternoon of Oct 16th.

The CS4 serial numbers have not shown up for me though.

Our license manager is checking with Adobe.
