[Official] Left 4 Dead

Definitely won't, Valve will probably want it to be but MS makes them charge something unless its sponsored.

This is what I don't understand. Isn't Lef4Dead published by EA? And doesn't EA have exclusive XBL deals with MS which includes a dedicated EA server instead of hosting games from console to console?

I know all DLC with Battlefield Bad Company was free, including all of the maps, weapons, and new Multiplayer modes. Why can't Left4Dead have the same thing?

patch is great but it really dropped my fps

They DID fix the door on No Mercy right? :s :(

Ah well, at least I'm glad to see that those do try to exploit are being hated now. Most people either kick those on their team if they begin to bash the door.

It also feels great as infected when survivors exploit yet you still kill them.

 Everyone I've heard complaining about balance has said that infected are far too underpowered.

Agreed. In the commentary Valve states the infected ARE supposed to have the advantage, but that's the point - the two teams compete to see who gets further the most and in the least damage possible. Realistically though, hunters get melee'ed to death after one pounce. Smokers' tongues break too easily, plus that leads to the long recharge delay. Boomers - well they're supposed to be very volatile, so no complaints there.

Otherwise, versus is hellishly fun with friends. Using headsets/microphones is almost essential, moreso than TF2 given how many events in Left 4 Dead require fast reflexes to deal with. No time to type "YOU IDIOTS HELP ME I'M BEING CHOKED BACK HERE" in chat :p

As for the door in No Mercy. I don't think that's a bug... is it? The tradeoff for melee'ing the door and skipping a crescendo event is having to watch your back from the super infected planning an ambush.

I think the update just made Smoker MUCH more useful. I still think it's too easy to melee Hunters though.

Most balanced class to be seems to be the Boomer so far. Other than the fact that you can barf on someone 5 feet away, but when you explode 5 feet away it doesn't do anything.

And one time I actually got a tank right on the other side of the door in No Mercy.

I'd agree maybe if all you had to do was climb up a ladder onto the roof, and up and around. But the fact that it actually skips an entire event AND another 1 or 2 shall we say horde triggers. Either way, I hope it gets fixed/is fixed.

Try the computer version! Online community is much better or so I've heard.

Of the many bad 360 communities out there, I find it pretty easy to find a decent group for L4D more than almost any other game. I'd say 2 of 3 PUGs have been good on average for me.

    • Dude, it's a .reg away from a permanent modification. If you're a power user, look it up and keep the .reg and stop being a crybaby expecting MS to include customization for everything on a generalist OS. The default is what's the best UX for the majority of the userbase, non techie people.

    • Studio MDHR reveals Cuphead sequel and an 8-bit platformer spin-off by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Studio MDHR has been rather silent about its next major gaming project since the release of Cuphead back in 2017. However, that ended today during the Summer Game Fest presentation, with the studio revealing not one but two project announcements. First, the studio confirmed that it is currently in the middle of developing a brand-new Cuphead game, bringing back the iconic characters for another adventure. Just like the last game, this is slated to be a fully hand-animated endeavor. This also means there isn't a release date attached to it yet. “Craftsmanship is at the heart of everything we do here at Studio MDHR,” says co-founder Chad Moldenhauer. “When it came time to peel back the curtain and share a little bit about what we’ve been up to, we couldn’t imagine a more fun way to do so than with today’s Special Bulletin. The studio is working on this new Cuphead with help from Toronto’s Stop Motion Department and Continue Agency. At the same time, Studio MDHR also revealed that another part of the team has been working on a different Cuphead installment. Dubbed the Mighty Cuphead Adventure, this is taking a different art direction to the original. "In true Studio MDHR fashion, this game goes beyond just taking inspiration from the classics of the 1980s… it is actually built with technology of the era," the studio explained. "That's right: Mighty Cuphead Adventure is programmed in assembly language and designed with the exacting specifications of the Sega Master System home gaming console in mind." Aside from releasing on PC and modern consoles, Mighty Cuphead Adventure will even be playable on the 1985-released Sega Master System. A release date has not been announced just yet.
    • Any decent ITSM will A) have a web form that allows a user to raise a ticket, if you're writing an email you can write a ticket. B) Monitor a mailbox and auto-generate tickets based on inbound mails for those users that really can't get their heads around the concept that if you have an issue you go to support.mycompany.com and fill in the box. From your description you're having users email the desk, and then having a human read each one and manually raise a ticket on behalf of the user.
