2. If a hunter pounces a nearby person, the knock-back effect lasts longer. Annoying!! :p

Ok then, I wasn't going crazy. Yea it's like an over exaggerated stagger back. I'm usually first to react when a team mate is pounced and it's annoying not being able to pop him/her when i'm standing right beside him/her.

I'll be available around 4PM EST (about 4 hours from now) if anyone wants to play

Cool, that is when we will play then, I only will have an hour, but I will be packed and just waiting to leave.

Horde overpowered us as we were going backwards and forwards for ammo. Around the end we didn't have any gaps between the horde they just never stopped coming at us so going for ammo was difficult and pistols weren't doing much at an endless horde.

One of us was taken down on top of the ammo and we couldn't get him back up, he died. Then the remaining 3 (me included) stayed up against a wall until our ammo ran out (this is around the 28-29 minute mark). And finally another one of us went down and then a smoker got one and the horde the other. I died 2nd I believe.

Overall though I give Survivor mode a big (Y) thumbs up. I've really enjoyed it even if it is a little glitchy. Once we got to the end we were going through our entire main weapon ammo in 30 seconds or so. Conserving it by using pistols just wasn't viable near the end unfortunately.

Some of us actually thought maybe we should quit at the 18 minute mark cause it was getting a little boring lol

Sheesh... 6 tanks? Something doesn't seem right about that. I was stuck playing with a bunch of, well, idiots and we lasted about a minute and a half each time, by then we had at least one tank and one boomer each time.

Yeah, it seems too little. Especially for 30 minutes. But damn, the longest I went was 7 minutes. And I was trying my best! :(

Sounds like a glitch to me. At 30 minute mark they should've been battling 6 tanks at once!

This sounds like a really trivial matter, but:

Anyone know how to revert the background menu video to the old one? :p The new one looks like an extremely cheap render.

I love the new update! :D

I have been playing the Survival game mode for the past 2 days and WOW! It is SO FUN! Sometimes my team mates are idiots and do w/e they want, but sometimes I have these awesome fun teammates and its like legendary fun. :D

The lighthouse map is a pain in the arse! Every wall breaks and I can't get passed 7 minutes on that. :( Any tips?

  • 3 weeks later...
Finally got to play survival today, got shown a few tricks and ended up getting Bronze and Silver on the Crane in Dead Air, but this annoyed us.

    • Rescind the stupid "Show more options" in context menus and just give us the full menu instead of adding more steps to get to what we want. The "simpler by default" makes me think they'll go in the opposite direction. Every context menu should have a configure button so you can pick and choose what options should be shown, I know you can do that with some registry fu but that shouldn't be required.
    • This is why competition must exist. Finally, pressure is mounting on Microsoft to move in the right direction.
    • Microsoft is making Windows 11's context menus faster, simpler, and configurable by Taras Buria Five years ago, Windows 11 introduced redesigned context menus, offering users a simpler, more modern design. However, customers quickly discovered that the new menus leave a lot to be desired. Many are unhappy with performance (they are really slow), while others dislike the double-layed design, where many options are hidden behind the "Show more options" button. In addition, over the years, menus became cluttered and overloaded. While Microsoft has already fixed plenty of pain points across Windows 11, context menus remain mostly unchanged. Fortunately, Microsoft is finally listening. Marcus Ash, Design and Research Lead for Windows at Microsoft, responded to a tweet on X, confirming that the company is working on fixing Windows 11's context menus. Reworked context menus are supposed to be faster, simpler by default, and "configurable to what you use most." What the latter means is unknown, just like whether Microsoft plans to keep the classic menu alongside the modern one, but according to Marcus, the wait should finally be over soon, as he promised to "share our approach soon." Improved context menus will most likely appear first in Windows 11 preview builds in the Experimental Channel. While we wait for Microsoft to release them, you can try fixing context menus on your PC with a simple tool called Windows 11 Context Menu Manager. It lets you disable entries you do not need, not only cleaning up context menus, but also making them significantly faster. Microsoft has already improved Windows 11's Start menu and taskbar, so hopefully it will address user criticism of the context menu as well. Stay tuned for new Windows 11 preview builds, which usually arrive every Friday.
