[Official] Anime/Manga Thread

Honestly, I'm a One Piece freak. Eiichiro Oda's ability to build worlds is spectacular. But what snagged my attention-- what drew me into the series some 400+ chapters ago-- was Arlong. I was thoroughly fascinated by the concept of a creature who is 1) clearly superior to humans, 2) ultimately proud of the fact, and 3) is interested in gaining and exerting power primarily because of that.

I've searched in vain for another character/series that pushes my Arlong button. Honestly, this has been a bit of a disappointment with the various vampire-themed manga I've tried. You'd expect that creatures that feed on humans would easily map, but even snarky, violent, anti-religious Deshwitat (from the manhwa Rebirth) ends up wishing he was human all too often. The closest I've seen is Mina Tepes (Dance in the Vampire Bund) who at least has the same taste for statecraft.

Where are our proud, inhuman masters hiding?

Watched the last episode of Kannagi, might be me but I felt it was rushed (the end shower scene with Jin/Nagi :rofl:l: :/:/

Radish?

Yeah that episode was SOMETHING, I am hoping there's another season coming.

perhaps it's his lifeless body? I sure hope it ain't though.

If it's his lifeless body then Katsuyu would rather use it's power on someone else then a dead body (it's just my opinion).

What a great chapter. Sadly, no naruto this week.

I didn't know that, so you're saying no chapter 431 this week.

Thanks for all the spoiler tags guys (Y)

I just watched "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time" again, such a good movie.

Today I finished my first 100 eps of One Piece, and I must say, it's becoming one of my favourite anime shows to watch :)

Another boring chapter of Bleach :/

I know, I don't know wtf is going on. And I am not in mood to go back few chapter to find that out. I was like how the hell did they start fighting, it was like yesterday that ichigo was all broken up and now he's fighting ulquiorra. WTF :/

I just started reading this manga today (My Girl), It's about a 23 year old guy taking care of his daughter. I don't know why but at one point I started crying. I would recommend reading at least 2 chapters.

It's not for everyone (mostly for mature person only), if you're a teenager then probably wouldn't like it.

Oh ok, I've actually never heard of that before.

I also haven't been to any anime conventions, I'm almost a closet anime fan in a way haha

All my friends know I watch it, but they all hate it

Actually I was looking around and I found this which really shocked me.

sniped

shockerZ  like a pack of wolves trying to eat a sheep

Next episode airs in Japan on the Tuesday after. So no episode this week.

aooo , that sucks man

i really wanted to watch it today :( , our only choice is to wait i guess

Looks like we got some Fabulous treats to look forward to in the new year...

Only 4 series out of that whole lot I'm keeping an eye on, not including the continuing OVA's.

Radish?
