@Radish

Cheers.

anyone excited like me that Astro Boy finally hit theaters. It looks decent. Like an actual good remake. Id like to take a look at the remake of The Three Musketeers also.

It's been Hollywood-ized! It looks fun but the ad highlights the significant cultural changes Astro Boy went through to appeal to the Western market. It looks like it will follow the same line as "The Incredibles".

To sum it all up:

"I got machine guns in my butt!?"

Just saw CENCOROLL an hour ago. I really enjoyed it! It kinda hat that BONES feeling throughout the anime, though BONES didn't make it. Atsuya Uki did an amazing job on it. I really hope the ending was a prelude to another CENCOROLL anime :D

Absolutely horrific:

I'm happy that Hollywood is taking these masterpieces so it can appeal to the Western audience. However, it always seems that they dumb down the characters significantly by turning them into two dimensional personalities. An example is Astro Boy that was mentioned a few posts above. Can you imagine what Motoko and Batou will be reduced to in the Hollywood live action remake?

To be fair, it's only disturbing because we know the intelligence gone into making these influential artworks. To people who have never seen or have a negative reaction to comics since they think it's only for children, the live action remakes can potentially serve as gateways to Masamune Shirow's and other anime/manga authors' works.

Hasn't the anime series ended?

Nope, SHAFT animated up to 15 episodes but the TV scheduling block only allowed 12 episodes to be aired. The remaining three episodes will be streamed online but it seems they are getting postponed because of production issues.

Radish?

yeah, unless everybody gains superpowers or something i don't see how they can defeat theyre current enemy

I'm more interested in finding what happens to Caska.

It looks like that anime is headed to become a cult classic like Suzumiya. I'll wait 'till all the episodes are aired before I jump on it.

Bleach 244 is out. Kenpachi time!

after watching it, pretty good. The fight was not as epic as I was hoping, but hopefully it just started. I loved the ending, where they mention if kenpachi's sword materialized, it would instantly destroy all of soul society lol.

Maybe this is a hint that they'll never show Kenpachi release his Zanpuktou

Na, its something that makes Kenpachi who he is. If he found his bankia, he would be invincible most likely. He's a unique character, and I would hate for them to ruin him by showing some Bankai that doesn't live up to our expectations.

These are the best filler episodes to date, for any anime I have seen. Side stories about characters we wont see again are horrible, but stories that involve main elements of the story and characters, thats the way to go it looks like.

Bakemonogatari is still on top form with the online episodes (Y) Senjougahara made me laugh when she imitated Araragi's voice with her seiyu which sounded nothing like him, poor Hachikuji getting manhandled by Araragi and tense moments between Hanekawa and Araragi as she becomes a cat

Preview of Katanagatari at the end of the episode as well.

    • Got it. Seem like a good improvement. Thanks. But, before we "Add the source to Trusted Sites," how would know if it is trusted or not? Could get messy for not first Knowing" it is clean. See what I mean?
