I've finished most of season 2 of code geass.

Shirley :'(

Watching the second season made me feel like I was trolled.

It went from a high school genius with feminine looks to becoming Light from Death Note to flaunting clothes and flicking his wrists, which made me question his sexuality. It then decided to become as psychedelic and quirky as Tengen Toppen Gurren Lagann and FLCL. It then tried to couple every male/female high school student while assigning them into factions that can be found in Eureka Seven and Full Metal Alchemist.

It was an enjoyable series but the second half of the second series made me feel like the producers thought it would be best to slap me in the face and laugh at how they could make a great franchise but mashing all the stereotypes in the Gundam universe into a huge pot and force feed it to me.

What is everyone current favorite manga/anime. Mine would have to be:

Naruto

One Piece

Bleach

Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood| <- Even though i liked the original better. It had more story.

My all time favorite is: Full Metal Alchemist[Original Anime]. Nothing tops that in my book.

while watching the first season i LOVED the show, they could of ended a lot better, so far id say this is going to end up being one of my favorites, but it could of been THE favorite.

My list is the same. However my favourite is Naruto Shippuden. Specially the current arc it is in and the ones to follow :D

LOL @ broken leg syndrome. This manga could have been so good. Volume 1 got me to read the rest but it turned into absolute trash after that... Example: The word "double crossing" and "suspension of disbelief" doesn't seem to mean much to the mangaka because the characters seem to manage to triple, even quadruple cross others. On top of that, there's a gun/archer battle. (Yup, a high school ranked archer in a close range battle with an expert in guns.) Bloody Monday could have turned out to be a really good manga but it's just another load of predictable characters with absurd plot twists.

^ That's just my opinion. However, if you do like plot twists ala 20th Century Boys and Code Geass, then this manga is definitely recommended.

If you liked the mature chess politics and battles of Code Geass, then consider the classic Legend of the Galactic Heroes. If you liked the exaggerated characters, then check out TTGL, GaoGaiGar, Gundam 00, Gundam SEED.

FMA:B & Bleach.

Also, the FMA manga is the best I've read. Period.

Never gotten into the Gundam stuff, ill check out legend of the galactic heroes when im done Code Geass.

I was also told to check out Black Lagoon.

Did anyone else know that a new Inuyasha series is being shown this season?! It's covering the last twenty volumes 36-56 (the last volume included) in 26 episodes.

Black Lagoon's only similarity is that it has a similar type of violence. Other than that, it's just two different action packed anime series. I would recommend watching Full Metal Panic! if you enjoy slapstick comedy and action drama in one package. It's one of my favorite since the main female protagonist isn't depicted as mentally handicapped and the second season is in my top five favorites.

right now i would probably say that death note is my favorite anime, and from the looks of it code geass is going to end up being my second favorite if it ends well.

both the shows are VERY familiar.

both about very ambitious people trying to change the world buy them selfs.

I finished watching Kite: Liberator. It's such a pity that its story quality doesn't match its animation's. I want to give this anime a good rating because of how much I liked its prequel (Kite), despite its unnecessary attempt at trying to use hentai scenes as tasteful, complementary art. In fact, there's a camero of the prequel's main character but this one hour OVA's compact, disconnected plot prevents me from doing so. Its beautiful rendering of the International Space Station reminds me of the anime series Planetes, which is a very enjoyable anime series based of its manga masterpiece.

To sum it all up, try to connect the two images below. The impossibility of such a thing underlines why this anime flops.

I don't really watch anime as of late, but when I was younger I devotedly watched some animes such as Dragon Ball, Knights of the Zodiac, Slam Dunk, NGE, Rurouni Kenshin, etc. The latest animes that I have watched are:

Death Note - Best anime that I have watched ever. Really recommend it for those who haven't watched it yet.

Toward the Terra - Another amazing anime. I put this one and DN at the very top (on a different scale), separating them from any other animes that I have watched .

D.Gray-man - A great anime, with an even better OST, in my opinion. I have also read the manga for this series, as the story continues beyond the anime.

MS Gundam SEED - Can attest that it's a great anime, but never finished it... for some reason that I can't remember.

I have also watched the first few episodes of Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, and many episodes of Inuyasha. I completely discarded One Piece as it didn't keep my attention, and since I watched more episodes of Bleach than I did of Naruto, I think that Bleach is better. However, I never continued watching any of those. I hear that Naruto gets better with the episodes though, and I guess that Naruto Shippuden proves that. I always enjoyed Inuyasha every time I watched it, but I was always too busy to keep watching it regularly.

More recently, I have returned to anime and began watching Code Geass, as my brother recommended it to me a while ago (he is both an anime and manga fan), and I'm on Episode 3 on that one.

By the way, I would really appreciate it if anyone could recommend me an anime (I don't really mind if it's not dubbed, but with reliable subs) that has similar themes to those of Death Note.

I really recommend you guys to watch Death Note and Toward the Terra, if you haven't, as they are truly amazing!

My number 1 anime is Ghost In The Shell (movies, series, etc). After that it's hard to chose as there are quite a few anime/manga which poped up into my head while reading the question.

the first one looks like a photo...

Yeah, that's how good the animation is but it's inconsistent. It's sad to see such a promising anime just become another "nothing" because of a poor plot and characters that are forced into roles that don't connect to the grand scheme of the anime.

Beserk Anime is the best for me. Trigun is also one of my favorites.

You liked Trigun eh?

I thought that was one of the worst animes I've seen for some reason. I didn't like Vash, "Oooh I don't want to hurt people" wtf.. Yet I have these amazing skills...

I'm watching Planetes right now, only a couple episodes in but it's great so far.

Kimi ni Todoke ep. 7 was really nice. :)

Sawako blushing = WIN!

Best episode yet, really enjoyable with Sawako (Y)

I just have to one up myself here. I just found Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell or her look alike in one of the scenes with an important supporting character.

You never thought of Mao as her? It's the first thing I thought when I first saw her in the series :p

Radish?

Radish?

I watched the FMP! series before Ghost in the Shell and never really saw the parallels between the two. Even then, I like to keep my favorite anime series' characters separate from each other. On top of that, Motoko has that class and sophistication about her unlike Mao. Mao reminds me of Revy from Black Lagoon when it comes to her actions.

Full Metal Panic! novels and stories were written by Shoji Gatoh and illustrated by Shiki Douji. They were serialized in Kadokawa Shoten's Monthly Dragon Magazine since 1998. There are two discrete series of books that exist within the narrative: the collected short stories, and the full novels. As of April 2007, there have been nine novels and ten short story collections published. There is also a significant number of short stories that have not yet been published in a collection, making the stories difficult to find outside back issues of the magazine. The main storyline is still continuing, with the latest novel, Approaching Nick of Time, released on February 2008. Shoji Gatoh has recently stated in his blog that the next novel will be the climax of the series.

I want the novel now! The anticipation for this next novel is worse than when I was waiting for Harry Potter to end in high school!

    • When will the Photos app be updated to remember the window size and position when reopened? They addressed this issue in a 2024 version of the app (though I can't recall the build number). Unfortunately, after that specific version, the problem persists! Please prioritise this fix in your K2 schedule. Additionally, the Snipping Tool has lost the ability to capture the Windows Taskbar starting from the 2024 version!
