i agree, though i dont pay much attention to the commentary during intermission, partially because i dont care about the opinions of coaches and players that were never good players to begin with. Commentary is a job anyone with decent knowledge of the game can do.

Anaheim is like sleeper car, with a 454 under the hood with a supercharger in a body of a chevy 4 door... they have great talent in Kariya, Ozolinsh, Neidermayer and Oates. As well as 2nd line players (not superstars) that compliment and stand out when the future hall of famers arent on the ice. ie: sykora, thomas, kjellberg, ruccin, carney, salei etc. There is no reason why Anaheim shouldn't be where they are today, im surprised they were so overlooked during the regular season. Even i made that mistake. As a canadian in LA , its great to see hockey being so popular now. Anaheim deserves everything they've acheived so far. and JS Jiguere is just out of this world

I agree with how the Ducks get no respect, and its true. However, TSN covers the Anaheim/Dallas series and they give the Ducks some of the credit they deserve. It is really annoying listening to commentators yap about how good the "expected" team is playing inspite of its evident beating, when clearly the "underdog" is playing better hockey but the commentators don't want to talk about it.

I'm glad Anaheim is winning, because they deserve it... They're playing with heart, whereas Dallas is just playing with money.

I watched the ducks play dallas today on both tsn after listening to abc's telecasters. I feel sorry for americans because the telecasters on every station are complete morons. They don't know the slightest thing about hockey. I thought CBC was awfull. Nothing beats cknw 98 though.

I'm thankful for the genious who invented the 'Mute' Button :D

actually, even though they dont know who maurice richard was, the ESPN/ABC guys make the game sound more interesting instead of the CBC guys who talk about how hockey was once played with newspapers rolled up as shin pads... its time to get with the times, the ESPN announcers make the game fun'er

heck yea, if the flyers games arent covered by local guys and are on espn/abc its on mute, they are horrible people, melrose shouldnt be on there, he has no brains. now ray ferrero kinda has something there, but i guess getting hit so many times takes whats left out.

abc shafted me today, no ducks, just the devils.:(

Ferrero is talking head. :p Total moron in my book. Now Melrose and Panger are where it's at. ;)

About the Ducks... They don't deserve respect, they are yet another 'One Shot Wonder' team which will be so impressive this year, get everyones attention, then die a quick and painless death next season. :p Examples? Iginla. Was hotter than the fires of hell and now, he's a "Igin....who?"

Teams who have respect have earned it over many years of good, hard, play. Detroit, Dallas, Colorado, Toronto, Montreal... True Hockey Cities. (Note, those are the ones off the cuff, doesn't mean there aren't quite a few more.)

The Disney Ducks haven't paid their dues yet, let them play at this level for 3 more years then talk to me about respect.

Ducks Suck

Plain and simple, and once their nuclear goalie cools down a bit they will be NOTHING.

i'm by no means a big iginla fan, but this year he played most of the year with an injury. that's why he didn't do too well. near the end of the year he recovered and played very well. as well as he did last year

    • LOL, expect to take you seriously? The $7k myth? Ignoring the BILLIONS Qatar spends every year to influence American politicians and universities? Claim terrorists are "journalists" when they are members of Hamas and even have Hamas funerals with their pictures in Hamas garb. "Snipe kids" when they don't, meanwhile the other side sends kids into battle (and their mothers praise their martyrdom) and uses them as human shields and their schools as rocket launch sites and entrances to their tunnels - which they took all their foreign aid to build at the expense of their people. Base their operations at hospitals - violating every rule of war and making said hospital legitimate military targets? AND THEY KILL LGBTQ+ PEOPLE - listen to their own testimonies themselves, their interviews on what they do to them! They're proud of it! Your talking points are all BS and you know it. Stop defending another Islamic dictatorship that uses terror as their primary policy.
