Future Sylar had Shapeshifting! :o

I loved that episode!

Interesting Q and A from this weeks CBR

“Is Matt Parkman, Jr. the same kid as Matthew from Five Years Gone? Do they have the same power?”

Yes. And yes. You now have a sense as to why it was so important for Matt to work with H.R.G. to keep him safe. It’s a heck of a power. Awesome attention paying, T.T.J. - and look forward to next year as we see a man trying to protect his very powerful son.

Here is our weekly spoilers round-up for next week's episode 3x22 Turn and Face the Stranger and beyond.

This is one of the few episodes this season that we know very few details, but here you go:

1) We will learn more about the Petrelli Family history and the episode will lead into the Angela-centric Episode 3x23 1961

2) We will also learn more about The Hunter's past

3) Hiro, Ando and Matt will return

4) Matt and The Hunter will go head to head.

5) We will see more scenes with Matt Jr. this season and next

6) Nathan and Sylar will meet in the Season Finale

You know what it seems 5 years gone is becoming more of a reality

I thought Peter was going to snap out of his funk in the church and remember his powers... sigh

Sort of like going back to his epathy ways and understanding/accepting what his mother did and why... and then being forced to protect her, and pow!

I thought Jesus was going to use Telekinesis on him, his fingers were just like Sylars :p

Hah, well that explains why Claire said to Nathan that he shouldn't fly while drunk, I thought it didn't make any sense when she said it.... now we know why.

I liked this episode, it was good value, well made and focused.

Heroes shaping up in form I suppose after the breakage forced by season 2 and the entire season 3 fixing the mess.

Heroes writer Bryan Fuller recently had an interview with SciFi Wire and confirmed once again that we will see Ali Larter as Tracy this season and not Barbara. He also provided some more tidbits for the rest of the season.

Here are the spoilery parts of the interview and check out SciFi Wire for the whole interview.

In season one, you really found Claire and HRG's voices, but recently, in "Cold Snap," Tracy Strauss seemed to be your new muse, except you shattered her into little fragments. Is that the last we've seen of her?

Fuller: Oh, no. There was a lot of debate over whether she's winking, but no, she's not winking. She's blinking, and a tear comes down. There was miscommunication with the visual effects, where you were only supposed to see one of her eyes. It was definitely a blink and a shedding of a tear. Tracy comes back in a really big way later on in the season. That was one of the things where it was like, "Is she going to come back as Barbara now?" I was thinking "Can we please not do Barabara, because that's another sci-fi ghetto storytelling element with clones. How many Ali Larters are there?" I wish there were dozens, because I'm a fan of hers, but watching Ali in the first season, you know what she's really capable of.

Where would you like to see Tracy go in the future then?

Fuller: The journey is about getting Tracy's humanity back. What she learned from her encounter with Micah/Rebel made a huge impact on her. She is going to be following that through-line the next season. There is that realization she has been approaching politics from the wrong angle. In the fourth year, Tracy will have a new perspective that may not be right, but it's more understandable than before.

Can you tease viewers about the remaining episodes this season?

Fuller: There's actually a lot of really fun character work happening in the last four episodes that the writing staff is proud of. We'll see Matt retaliate against Danko in a very interesting way. We'll also see Sylar strike at the heart of HRG's life in a way that causes things for him to unravel. The episode after that is essentially "Company Man" for Angela Petrelli, where we'll be doing a flashback to her life in 1961 and the events that happened there, which really motivates who she is now. In episode 24, we get to the heart of Sylar's identity crisis, and we clearly understand what his agenda is, what he's after and who the people in his life are that made the biggest impact. Episode 25 is our big finale.

Question: Any news on Heroes? Maybe something on the season finale? --Dennis

Ausiello: Sylar kills a regular Hero that's been on the show since Season 1. And it sticks. - Preetty much confirms Nathan

    • Server Summit had a heap of announcements, ADCS changes are baller.
    • Nice, hope they *finally* fixed the issue with the NTFS driver where the system would completely brick during large file copies using the built in driver. It's been broken for years requiring me to use the older, slower, NTFS-3G FUSE driver.
    • Windows 11 KB5094126 BSODing, freezing, forcing BitLocker lockout, breaks OneDrive, and more by Sayan Sen Microsoft released Windows 11 KB5094126 and KB5093998 last week as the latest Patch Tuesday updates. Following that the company also published the accompanying dynamic updates under KB5094149, KB5095971, and KB5094156. While Microsoft has so far not acknowledged any major problems with the release, some users online are running into problems. These range from OneDrive and Dropbox access issues, BitLocker recovery lockouts, to blue screens and BSODs. The most common one seems to be happening with HP systems wherein affected users say they hit 0xc0430001 BSOD (blue screen of death) error code after the KB5094126 update. We wonder if this could be related to the recent bug we covered on HP devices wherein the ongoing Secure Boot certificate updates are leading to similar issues. While we are not certain, users affected by this issue likely need to ensure that the boot.stl file is included on the installation media (such as a USB installer or ISO), if the above-mentioned dynamic updates are deployed. If this file is missing, computers may fail to boot from the installation media and could display the error 0xc0430001. This STL file is used by Secure Boot to verify that the boot files are trusted, so it must match the same Windows version and system architecture. To ensure the file is included, Microsoft recommends using the Update WinPE script, which automatically updates the image and handles the required files. Alternatively, you can manually copy the boot.stl file from the Windows\Boot\EFI folder on a Windows device and place it in the matching folder on your installation media before deploying the updated image. Aside from blue screening some users also note their systems have been freezing following the update. This could be happening to Lenovo PCs specifically. In the case of the OneDrive and Dropbox access issues, a user figured out that there could be a conflict with UAC. He explained: "Okay, so I did some digging, and in our environment KB5094126 breaks OneDrive and Dropbox in Explorer. I went through all our GPOs and found out that the combination of disabling UAC and having my user being a local admin breaks OneDrive in Explorer. ... If I enable UAC again, then it works, even with KB5094126 still installed." Hopefully, Microsoft will look into these issues. • It is when it's a desktop in my house though for a PC that's lightly used and not really important when it is. If it was a laptop, it would be a different story. The real solution is varied and begins starting at post #22 in that thread.
