Heroes Volume 4 : Fugitives

Really did enjoy that episode, but the ending was well sad. Goodbye Daphne :(

Tracy scene was awesome, one of the best things I've seen on Heroes.

We all knew it that it was Micah

Yeah Micah is awesome but also subtle advertising for Sprint :p

Hiro and Ando receive a message from the mysterious REBEL to "Save Matt Parkman". But when they arrive at the address all they find is a baby. They soon discover that the baby has a power and is, unbeknownst to Matt, Matt Parkman's son. After saving Baby Matt from being abducted by agents Hiro and Ando suddenly become the sole protectors of the child. They set out on a cross-country mission to unite father and son but quickly learn that traveling with young children is never easy. And then there's the issue of diapers...

Quite liked that episode, lots of story progression. I nearly wrote the episode off when Daphne just all of a sudden left Matt but then it did the nice twist and it made more sense.

When Tracey froze them all the effects were brilliant. When she winked was that a hint that she isn't dead and has some kind of Alex Mack power and can liquefy herself.

So we got our first death tonight with Daphne and of course perhaps even our "fake-out" death with Tracy.

Well here is our weekly spoilers round-up enjoy!

1) From several previous reports we already know that Ali Larter will return. Yes many of you noticed Tracy's wink and of course her melting into the drain. So will we see her again.

2) According to one of our inside sources, there has been some chatter of how to introduce Barbara into the storyline, but we have NO confirmation yet on how or even when? So your guess is as good as mine.

3) Greg Grunberg has confirmed that there will be a death of a character in the finale and it is not him. Apparently this will be a "permanent" death with the character not returning.

4) Nathan and Claire will return and we will see them in hiding in Mexico (Click Here to View Set Pics)

5) Expect to see more of Peter, Angela and The Hunter

6) No official confirmation that Sylar will be The Hunter's "surprise" ally but it is fairly obvious from the new promo.

7) Kristin from E! Online is reporting that as a part of the The Hunter's storyline we will see "concentration camps" for the Heroes

I have read some good reviews so far now Fuller is writing again for the show, maybe people will return after they seemingly gave up

I'm not holding my breath. I'm now four episodes behind and lack any motivation to catch up.

Sounds interesting! Like the sound of 7

This certainly did feel like an oldschool heroes episode, way too much. It wasnt "character" centric like the previous ones (they werent bad but it made it feel awkward), claire wasnt there to annoy, hiro, ando, and baby parkman kicked ass, and the 'coldsnap' scene was good too. The wink was tacky though. Oh and micah was there! So they actually showed many of the heroes without getting the impression of having to many characters. That's how it worked in season 1, they would leave 2-3 characters out of the episode and focus on the others.

I agree. When Matt started flying, I was like: "What?! First painting and now flying?" But I felt it was a great way to send Daphne's character off the show.

Exactly the way I felt. I was getting ready to start screaming at how Matt was getting too powerful when it should be Peter doing that, but then, of course, they started hinting it was a mind trick. Surely enough, they played a mind trick on all of us.

I think this episode brings a lot of closure to what we have seen so far, making way for Brian Fuller to make things interesting. Here is to hoping the last five episodes close out volume 4 with a bang.

Episode 3x21 - Sprint Sneak Peek

Episode 3x20 Commentary Reveals Spoilers

Hey All,

Apparently during the Episode 3x20 Cold Snap Commentary with Bryan Fuller and Masi Oka, Bryan Fuller confirmed that Tracy will return, that in the next volume (Redemption) that she will take on more of a leadership role for the Heroes and finally Fuller confirmed that Daphne's death is indeed permanent.

Cold Snap was one of the best episodes we have seen in a long time. This is what we have needed for so long. I had a friend watching who said, " is this really what I've been missing? this is amazing!" Sadly I had to respond that this is what we have all been missing. Daphene's death was unexpected, and the revealing scene really threw everyone off. I don't think there was a single person who when they saw Matt fly didn't think something was off but still didn't realize that instant it was all in her head. Tracy's snap was just amazing. The whole look and intensity that was put for that shot was perfect. And I am glad Tracy will come back. I was surprised to see Peter able to find his Mom, but it was awesome the way he saved her.

If we can get more episodes with this kind of drama/intensity/action/suspense/ and character interaction, I think Heroes can top the charts.

True that. The sense of urgency is finally returning for all the characters to carry out their own little agendas until they finally unite again sometime toward the very end of the volume. The best part was being able to include scenes with many characters without the feeling of being overwhelmed with too much info.

    • Linux 7.1 arrives with an NTFS overhaul and major hardware performance boosts by Paul Hill The founder of the Linux kernel has just announced the availability of Linux 7.1. This is a stable version of the kernel that will now be tested by various Linux distributions before it is shipped to users through update managers. Some users, like those on Debian, for example, might not get it for a long time, if at all, while Fedora users can expect it in the near future. With Linux 7.1 out on time, the merge window for Linux 7.2 is now open, giving contributors the opportunity to send in major new features that have been waiting for the last two months. Torvalds warned that he is currently travelling and will be in another timezone, so timing for the merge window may be irregular due to timezone differences and limited internet access. Torvalds said that he has already fetched early pull requests to allow him to do some offline work, but the travel could still cause disruption. Right now, he is not planning to extend the release, but did consider it. He said he might later regret not extending, though. In terms of this last week of development for Linux 7.1, Torvalds said there were no major or alarming changes. This week consisted mostly of smaller driver updates to GPU, networking, and sound, networking fixes, trace tooling fixes, and misc minor fixes. The shortlog this week lists fixes for driver bugs, memory leaks, I/O and USB fixes, networking and RDMA fixes, DRM/graphics fixes, and tooling and verification improvements. Specific fixes include USB series heap-overflow and buffer overflow fixes, and multiple use-after-free, memory-leak, and refcount corrections across subsystems such as i2c, zram, gpio, and net. There are fixes for graphics drivers, including amdgpu, i915, and virtio, as well as hypervisor and virtualization tweaks affecting mshv, vmbus, and hyperv. According to Phoronix, anyone running Linux 7.1 should look out for the new NTFS driver, Intel FRED for improved performance on Panther Lake and future CPUs, faster graphics with Intel Arc Battlemage, and improvements for older AMD Radeon GPUs. If you are running Linux on your computer and everything is fine, then you don’t need to worry about updating to Linux 7.1 as a priority; just wait for it to be pushed to you. If you have tried Linux on hardware but it didn’t work properly, trying again with a distro that uses Linux 7.1 could cause Linux to work on your machine, thanks to the new hardware support.
