Heroes Volume 4 : Fugitives

Recommended Posts

I already give up the idea that this show have the potential of intelligent plot like that of Lost, at all.

Those of you keep hoping that PLOTS make up for this show (like Lost), Just STOP! It will NOT be. NEVER will! It's NOT that type of show!!!

When I watch Heroes, Smart plot is LEAST of my concerns.

If not seeing some cool Action or Use of cool powers, I don't know what I even watch this show for myself, either.

The BIGGEST point for me, for watching this show is about Powers and action, period.

So, seriously, all that plot NONsense in Volume 3 "Villians" makes NO difference to me, whatsoever.

Seeing Peter, Sylar, other folks using powers to their fullest more than makes up for the lack of plot, for me! :D

Well the shows all about powers. So I'd guess everyone takes that as a reason they watch it.

Plus with the abundance of super hero/comic book movies lately its come around at a good time where people want to see gifted people weekly.

who comes back then? and wtf does Sylar want Claire as a GF =p

Well that actually makes sense. After all, if either of them married someone else, they would watch the one they loved grow old and die. But if they are together, then they would always have each other. But that would really make more sense in like 100 years after everyone else is gone.

Tonight's Episode:Tim Kring tells us that this week's and last week's eps are a bit of a loop: "At the end of the last episode we saw that Sylar was impersonating Nathan Petrelli, and tonight's episode 24 explains how he got to be Nathan Petrelli at the end of episode 23. It sort of rewinds a little bit." And despite the face-swapping confusion, Nathan and Sylar do go head-to-head before the end of the season. Says Kring, "You will see a face-off. You can feel the two lines converging toward each other, very much, in the next episode. There's still Building 26 and Danko to deal with, and those bad guys to put down, and then the whole stopping of Sylar's nefarious plan. All of our characters are involved. The season finale is the best episode we've done in a really, really long time."

Bad Matt? According to Greg Grunberg, "The last two episodes are absolutely huge. My character is asked to do something, and does something, that is incredibly dark and results in the demise of another character. It's not expected. It's pretty sick. Torture is involved. It's someone we all know. It felt great to tap into my dark side."

The Old Ones: Based of the success of last week's "1961" episode, look for lots more in season four about young Angela, Alice and the rest of the Company founders in their idealistic youth. Says Kring, "We didn't plan on it until we saw how good '1961' came out. We all fell in love with those actors who were playing the younger versions of them. We are devising season four to go back to that timeframe, since lots of interesting things happened at the beginning of the formation of the Company. I found it a really effective way to dig into the mythology of the show."

The Path to Redemption: For us fans, season three isn't done yet, but the writers are already back working on season four, and according to Bryan Fuller it really will be a brave new era for the show. Bryan tells us, "Fugitives was such a dark chapter in the history of Heroes, so we look at Redemption as a unifying theme for next season. We're going to see redemption for all of the characters in one respect or another. Our goal going into season four is taking every character and making that character's story evolve into an entire series. We just want the smorgasbord of Heroes to be as satisfying for everybody." Smorgasbord or no, among those Heroes getting a special treatment next year is Masi Oka's Hiro Nakamura. Bryan Fuller says that, "The Hiro story for season four is the best story we've ever come up with for Hiro. It's so emotional and exciting and adventurous."

DEAD OR ALIVE?

Daphne Milbrook: Sadly, Brea Grant is really gone and really not coming back. Kring tells us, "Alas, poor Daphne. She has met her demise. There are always ways of breaking time and space, but she is indeed dead."

Claude and Adam: Fan favorites Invisible Claude and Adam Monroe are also not likely to appear any time soon. Despite rumors that Adam might back in the finale, Kring says, "We felt like we killed him in a very satisfying way, and there really had to be some finality on the show, or else we lose all credibility. His death by Arthur Petrelli was pretty hard to come back from, so, as far as him being alive in the present-day story, that's a tall order."

Tracy Strauss: On the other hand, Ali Larter's Tracy, while seemingly dead, does return. Says Kring, "It looks fairly dire for Tracy Strauss' character, except if you stop and rewind the last couple of seconds when she was melting down the grate you may see some indication that the impossible could happen with that character." Bryan Fuller spills, "I think Ali was so underused on this show, and watching the show as a fan, I was frustrated because Ali Larter is a really good actress, and she's really engaging. So I was glad to write an episode where we get to focus on her character, because I adore her, so it's fun to write for somebody that gets you excited about the story." Will Ali be playing Barbara when she returns? "No," says Bryan. Can melted, shattered Tracy really come back together? "Watch the finale," replies Bryan. Mark your calendars, kids.

That episode was really good!, loved the back and forth shapeshifting! and next week omg it's going to be Nathan I am sure but Sylar's uisng his electric it seems lets hope Peter gets a touch in!

I thought last week the writers said that Sylar could shape shift, but the clothes wouldn't change with his shape shifting. Then today they show him shape shifting into Nathan and the suit. Yay for consistency! (if my memory is correct)

Matt Parkman is ****ing with Hiro's brain

Nathan will probably be dead

I have no idea what's going to happen to Peter

For a person who is supposedly able to figure/understand things out, Sylar's identity crisis seems a little odd.

I liked the episode but expected a little more out of it, especially since it was hyped a few weeks beforehand. However, I'm still looking out to next week's episode and I will watch again, just as always.

It was good to see that Sylar did save Micah. I wonder what's going to happen with Danco now Sylar knows his a backstabber, literally.

So like, how the hell did Sylar not be effected by the knife in the back of his head?

    • Nice, hope they *finally* fixed the issue with the NTFS driver where the system would completely brick during large file copies using the built in driver. It's been broken for years requiring me to use the older, slower, NTFS-3G FUSE driver.
    • Windows 11 KB5094126 BSODing, freezing, forcing BitLocker lockout, breaks OneDrive, and more by Sayan Sen Microsoft released Windows 11 KB5094126 and KB5093998 last week as the latest Patch Tuesday updates. Following that the company also published the accompanying dynamic updates under KB5094149, KB5095971, and KB5094156. While Microsoft has so far not acknowledged any major problems with the release, some users online are running into problems. These range from OneDrive and Dropbox access issues, BitLocker recovery lockouts, to blue screens and BSODs. The most common one seems to be happening with HP systems wherein affected users say they hit 0xc0430001 BSOD (blue screen of death) error code after the KB5094126 update. We wonder if this could be related to the recent bug we covered on HP devices wherein the ongoing Secure Boot certificate updates are leading to similar issues. While we are not certain, users affected by this issue likely need to ensure that the boot.stl file is included on the installation media (such as a USB installer or ISO), if the above-mentioned dynamic updates are deployed. If this file is missing, computers may fail to boot from the installation media and could display the error 0xc0430001. This STL file is used by Secure Boot to verify that the boot files are trusted, so it must match the same Windows version and system architecture. To ensure the file is included, Microsoft recommends using the Update WinPE script, which automatically updates the image and handles the required files. Alternatively, you can manually copy the boot.stl file from the Windows\Boot\EFI folder on a Windows device and place it in the matching folder on your installation media before deploying the updated image. Aside from blue screening some users also note their systems have been freezing following the update. This could be happening to Lenovo PCs specifically. In the case of the OneDrive and Dropbox access issues, a user figured out that there could be a conflict with UAC. He explained: "Okay, so I did some digging, and in our environment KB5094126 breaks OneDrive and Dropbox in Explorer. I went through all our GPOs and found out that the combination of disabling UAC and having my user being a local admin breaks OneDrive in Explorer. ... If I enable UAC again, then it works, even with KB5094126 still installed." Hopefully, Microsoft will look into these issues. • It is when it's a desktop in my house though for a PC that's lightly used and not really important when it is. If it was a laptop, it would be a different story. The real solution is varied and begins starting at post #22 in that thread.
