I know the minimum requirements say 16GB of hard drive space...but is that how much space Win7 takes just itself? All I could free from my current hard drive is 16.93GB...hopefully this is enough?

You might be pushing it.

I downloaded both the 32-bit and 64-bit ISOs. They came in at a combined total of 5MB/sec. The download speeds are great. Now if only I could get keys...

Is it going to be like Vista where one key works for both the 32-bit version and 64-bit version? Or do I need to snag 2 keys?

I agree with the post above; that's pushing it. My rule of thumb is to always have at least 2 GBs over the needed install space, just in case. ^_^

Yeah, Technet and MSDN subscribers have confirmed 1 key works for both 32 and 64-bit :)

i had installed 6801 on a 20gig partition and had no issues with it. you could save space after by disabling hibernation. of course if you are installing a lot of programs you could start taking up space too like that

Will one key work over multiple machines? I'd like to test on both of my computers. I know my personal rig (in my sig) oughta work fine, but I'd like to test out the HP my fianc?e owns to see how well it fares with Windows 7. :))

According to the EULA, you can install on as many machines as you like.

I would assume so. Vista's public beta key worked for me on 2 separate test machines.

Nice; maybe if we all just get 1 key, they'll be enough to go around. Or even get one key to share with your friends, even. :p

Heck, as busy as the servers will likely be, I figure you'd have to be nuts to try and get more than one!
