It's funny how all the people that said they got a key either registered today and they have 4-10 posts max.

I can say that I have got a key using Firefox 3 and the Click4Change refresh method as posted on various sites, including Newoin.

It took 45mins @ 2 second intervals using Firefox and C4C method.

Look at my post count and my length of membership and now say it doesn't work. ;)

ok then i'll punch steve ballmer in the face if i ever see him.

Why, what's he done, stopped you getting your key?

Far better to smack the several million people who are the ones actually stopping you, in the face. Of course, I wouldn't give much for anything being left of you after the first 1 or 2.

Hey everyone, I wanted to give everyone a quick update.

Sorry I disappeared for a bit, I went to grab a bite to eat. Haven't had much to eat today.

I spent the last few hours in a conference room here in Redmond with a wonderful group of people dedicated to getting the Windows 7 Beta online for folks. We are continuing to add servers and tweak a few things on the network site to enable us to open access to the Beta. Some of the folks I've been spending time with in this conference room will be working overnight.

I know many of you are concerned about getting a product key for the Windows 7 Beta and concerned about missing your chance to get a product key. I can't say much on this just yet but I will say you this: don't worry. :-)

It's about 1:30am here in Redmond and I'm going to head off for a bit to catch some sleep. I'm getting up bright and early (SUPER early) tomorrow morning to head back into the office (yes, the same conference room I was in all evening too...).

I would like to remind everyone that we need to keep things clean here in comments and to be respectful and constructive as well. When I come back online in a few hours, if I see certain people are way out of line here - they will be banned from leaving comments.

Thanks,

Brandon

What intervals did you set it to?

I think he should go in there and say that because people were really rude and i don't think that behavior is necessary even if the servers did go down. We are getting something for free, we should be patient.

Everyone just pull the power plug out of your walls and for the laptop users rip power and battery out

so i can get my ****en key :)

Forget the Check4Change method. It's obvious that the servers can't handle the load. Just wait for them to add the new servers and you should get your key by the end of today. Be patient!

    • Microsoft released new Defender update for Windows 11, 10, Server ISO installations by Sayan Sen Microsoft releases new Windows Defender update packages very frequently to protect against various newly discovered malware. Once a while every three months or so, the company also pushes out these updates to Windows images (WIM and VHD) and ISOs, that are used to install Windows. Hence with the newest Windows 11 update available via the official MCT tool, you should get these definitions. This update package is necessary as a Windows installation image may contain old, outdated anti-malware definitions and software binaries. Aside from better security, these updates can also provide improved performance benefits in some cases. When a new Windows installation is set up, there may be a temporary security risk due to outdated Microsoft Defender protection in the OS installation images. This happens because the antimalware software included in these images might not be up to date. Thus Microsoft says that these updated definitions essentially help close this protection gap. Microsoft delivered the latest security definitions for Windows images via security intelligence update version 1.445.323.0. The Defender package version is also the same. It applies to Windows 11, Windows 10 ESU, Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021, Win 10 Ent LTSC 2019, Win 10 Ent LTSB 2016, Windows Server 2022, Windows Server 2019, and Windows Server 2016. Microsoft writes: "This package updates the anti-malware client, anti-malware engine, and signature versions in the OS installation images to following versions: Platform version: 4.18.26040.7 Engine version: 1.1.26040.8 Security intelligence version: 1.447.236.0" From Microsoft's security bulletin, we learn that the security intelligence update version 1.447.236.0 was released early last month and adds threat detections for various malware like trojan, backdoor exploits, ransomware, stealers, AutoKMS, and more. For those wondering, the latest intelligence update is version 1.451.297.0 at the time of writing.
