I finally managed to get a key so they still appearing to spontaneously work, (the x64 key link, though i'm sure the 32 bit one works too), my persistence has paid off, time for bed I think

Edit: Sorry for Griffin, the https://www.microsoft.com/betaexperience/pr...us/default.aspx link worked

Thanks for the info I'll just keep trying! Have a good night

Keep trying people...

I just got a key from http://www.microsoft.com/betaexperience/pr...us/default.aspx (x64)

just had the page open and was doing something else on the internet and now and then just refreshed the page and got one.

Though I am wondering if the Vista Beta keys work with this build as they did with the Pre-Beta 6801??? anyone tried???

Sorry about slow Neowin! we are getting hammered for the Windows 7 stuff

Don't be sorry :) It happens and to be expected lol. At least the servers more or less coped with the traffic. Anyway, Neowin *has* been more responsive over the past 20 minutes or so.

Does anyone have the "https://www.microsoft.com/betaexperience/productkeys/win7-64/enus/default.aspx" for x86? :)

+ https://www.microsoft.com/library/errorpage...au/default.aspx how cool does that look ^_^ (before it redirects to live)

Congrats, that must be a piece unique! :)

I tried a couple of 100 times or so and will allways go to the Windows 7 Home page :(

The servers are getting hammered like nuts. :|

The 32-bit download keeps timing out for me. I got 97% of the 64-bit ISO downloaded in just under 3 minutes 30 seconds (university internet connections ftw. up to almost 35-38 MB/sec for instantaneous download speed, average was 6-7 MB/sec. lol) but it decided to time out just right there. :(

edit: Ding. 64-bit build done. ^_^

Just change the 64 to 32. :)

https://www.microsoft.com/betaexperience/pr...us/default.aspx

and

https://www.microsoft.com/betaexperience/pr...us/default.aspx

Either way, the key works for both. If you've already downloaded it, it doesn't matter which one you go to.

Neowin for me is going at about 1kb/s ;(

And thats without getting the Beta 1....

3311 user(s) active in the past 30 minutes..

Most users ever online was 11,724 on Feb 28 2008, 05:20 <--- Does that mean the neowin servers shutdown? :(

Thanks :)

    • One reason it might be running hotter is dust build up within the cooling or perhaps the paste has dried out. You could always try repasting your old GPU and cleaning the cooler. Your experience in Linux will be much better with an AMD GPU; the performance in gaming is much closer to Windows than nVidia would be. I personally think on Windows, AMD drivers are junk.
    • I reviewed it back in March, but I didn't have a 5070 at the time https://www.neowin.net/reviews/amd-rx-9070-review-vs-rtx-5070-4070-and-rx-9070-xt-7800-xt--just-good-enough/ When I reviewed the 9070 I did have a 5070 to compare it against, so the scores are there for the 9070 XT. it outperforms the 5070 in raster, and is barely neck and neck in Ray Tracing. So it's better than a 5070 in everything but Ray Tracing where it is neck and neck, or just under. To be honest, the uplift from 3080 when it was new to the 9070 XT is not as great a step up. If you can find a used 4080 Super for around the same money, you would probably be better off, but if you only want to buy new then the 16GB 9070 XT is the best value for money in its category.
    • I really hope the author's health is ok. Squirreling away a official backup of this software. Looks like the internet archive already cached a copy as well - https://web.archive.org/web/20...ldbit-soft.fi/software.html
    • AMD is supported out of the box in linux because of their open source driver. Nvidia does not. All my systems are amd and all of them work nicely on linux arch without doing anything.
    • Never had a problem with TPM and started using that many years ago in Win10. Through several motherboards and OS versions, it just does what it does without complaint. My games library doesn't even know it's there. Secure boot does a lot more than support anti-cheat, as it came along long before anti-cheat software. I've used it religiously since before I started using TPM, and I always liked it for being able to nullify virus contagions that try their best to come in underneath the firmware during boot, so that the OS doesn't see them, etc. That is its purpose, imo. I'll never understand why people who elect to use another OS feel compelled to run down Windows... I guess they need to do that to feel secure about their choices? I run Windows because it supports all the software (including games) natively that I want to buy, and I've never had to run down another OS to make me feel better about it. (Although it's certainly possible to do that, of course...) Win10 is on a ventilator atm, and Win11 is very close to being free, and I finally got to stop running StartAllBack as I moved to the Experimental/Dev channel and my 26300.8553 build supports the moveable taskbar and it's running fine at the top of the screen! Finally, my last major dislike of Win11 is being rectified! So, I'm not at all surprised to see Win11's share of the Steam survey hitting 70%.
