YES! I LOVE YOU krustylicious FOR POSTING THAT LINK! I LOVE YOU!!!

Link & Source to get Win 7 Beta 1 key

THIS WORKS EVEN IF YOU DIDNT FILL OUT THE FORM :D

How-To receive a valid Windows 7 key

Because of the overloaded Microsoft servers it can be hard to get a valid key. To get a valid key the fastest just follow these simple steps :

Step 1 : Logon to http://technet.microsoft.com (click on Sign in in the upper right corner)

Step 2 : Copy (Don?t CLICK IT!) one of the links below to the address bar and press enter :

64-bit key : https://www.microsoft.com/betaexperience/sc...w&LCID=1033 (don?t click, Copy and Paste!)

Tip : You can use the 64-bit during a 32-bit installation and a 32-bit key during a 64-bit installation (I only put the 64-bit one in because its immediate, unless you get error message.)

Step 3 : If you receive the error below, just press F5 to refresh (Got it immediatley!) (Usually not needed)

If you followed the steps correct you should see your key .Have fun!

It's 1:32am GMT and I just got a key by signing in and following the link: https://www.microsoft.com/betaexperience/sc...w&LCID=1033

I GOT MY KEY! BEEN WAITING FOR ALMOST 6 HOURS.

what you posted here i just copied the link and pasted it and right away my key popped up. why couldnt it work the first 100 times i tried?

Krusty your right. All of these things we are doing is all MS fault. They should have never scared the living daylights out of us into thinking we might not get a key.

I can imagine the MS employees sitting over there going

"OK we have the site down, yet we are still getting hammerred almost as bad as before, wonder why?" :p

Pretty sure cause 1 the link is slightly different and second we are using the technet page(i'm guessing has something to do with the cookie) as the page right before it. Think it's just a lucky coincidence that it's working this way.

I don't suppose anyone has any tips for actually downloading the client?

I've tried numerous times and, without fail, it craps out anywhere between 10 and 20% every time. I must have clocked around 5gig of downloading now, getting various sizes of the iso before the download fails.

I'd really rather try and avoid unofficial means of obtaining it, but MS aren't making this easy.

    • I can answer about the Linux bit. I only used AMD GPUs. I currently have a 9060XT (8GB) that fits my needs, I'm not a gamer, so I don't need that much GDDR. But lately, NVIDIA has grown a lot in the recent years. Oh, the horrors of NVIDIA drivers not working. But they have been getting better. I know a lot of members onm here that are running cachyOS and other distros, and are fine with a 4090/5090 variants. Really, though, I would stick with AMD variants.
    • Everything they say you can already do yourself on the registry by changing some things.
