Steve Jobs Steps down from running day to day operations at Apple..

Recommended Posts

I too wish Steve a fast recovery. Your health and your family has to always come first, I don't care who you are. The only thing I hate about this is how it will be played out in the media.

True.

But media be damned. Apple has a roadmap for success, and with Schiller and Ive on the team, they're still full-steam ahead.

Jobs made a similar move in 2004.

I dont see anything appealing about Apple products - sure I have an iPod only because I needed an 80gb player and the Zune wasn't available at that time. Steve Jobs did do much as a tech visionary and he has an uncanny ability to raise interest among Apple products and it is for this specific reason perhaps that Apple wont be the same, without him.

If you are reading this, I think you can also see I do not like Apple products at all. This is because while I respect Jobs for what he has done for the industry, I do not respect him as a person. He forgot all those who helped him get to where he is, all those people who helped him make Apple. More he takes every opportunity to push Apple products even when the event or issue is bigger than him alone. He survivored cancer previously, he knows the pains and trials to survive it, he knows not everyone is fortunate enough to be able to afford the treatments to fight it, but I have not see him even donating a small portion of his wealth to help this cause.

They clearly did. 90% of the worlds computers run Windows, considering they both started with even stakes in the 70s i would say they lost out big time.

I would agree with this, too, but you know that people will find ways to justify everything.

Get well soon Steve Jobs. I wonder if the stock will recover the 10% loss by the time Steve Jobs is back?

2 quarters of recessionary trends will weigh in more by that time than whether or not Jobs has gained any weight. Besides since everyone except the die hards knew that Apple was flat out lying about serverity of Jobs' health....this news was already 'baked in' into the current stock price.

Hope they can keep their product line-up strong. There isn't anyone who thinks as differently as Jobs.

The loss of Jobs during these harsh times is understandable.

Whatever.

Here's some more. Have fun.

The image is completely fake, anyway.

Does this make sense to you:

Date of Birth: Born February 24, 1955. ??

Looks like someone forgot that "date of birth" already means "born."

Anyway, we're going to see a lot of bull**** like this for a while so let's get used to it.

And that image is from 4chan . . . all that needs to be said about that.

I've seen a lot of replys on the news stories on the front page and in forum pages in this section, and I can say I hope all the ones laughing and joking and bashing can respect themselves if they think it could be one of there own family members suffering, I hope they are only kids as a lot of people have a lot of god dam growing up to do.

...In other news, apple zealots discover there is no god afterall? lol

hope this doesn't change too much over there, since I am actually a fan of the itouch, its the perfect device for me to use to carry around a digital copy of my portfolio.

    • LOL. Can't even quote and edit a comment correctly. Figures you're a Linux user.
    • I have disabled it, but the app is still taking space. I have a Mac and it is only possible to disable Ai on that, but I think that bit does get rid of the AI components after a while. What we are told is that we agree to all this when we use the devices as it is in the end user agreements, their software, they can do what they like. I doubt that any bill will happen in the U.S, the government there are in league with big tech firms. The E.U maybe, they seem to have some guts when it comes to tech companies. The U.K is not in the E.U, but some things still affect us. Our government is as gutless when it comes to tech companies as the U.s government.
