Circuit City fails to be wanted, will now be liquidated

Recommended Posts

thanks for posting that website :) some funny things

Employee: ?I?m sorry sir, but your phone has water damage, which isn?t covered by the warranty. You will have to purchase a new phone.?

Customer: ?That?s ridiculous! I haven?t gotten the phone wet!?

Employee: ?Have you used the phone in the rain? Sometimes, that?s all it takes to get the internals wet enough to damage the device.?

Customer: ?Well, yes, but that doesn?t make any sense! Cows are in the rain all the time and they don?t die!?

Employee: ???

Me: *interjecting* ?Sir, cows aren?t electronic devices.?

Customer: *storms out*

gotta wonder if its real?

(sorry this is off topic)

Wow, that is such crap. I didn't know stores marked up prices during liquidation. I hope everyone watches that video before going down to circuit city to see all the prices jacked up

yeah but its a bit harder to do that with electronics cause generally if your going to buy something you know the price

+ its impossible to get away with it with new games since there always 60 or 50

or not never mind

but still games its harder to do that with

It isn't the store. In reality, Circuit City is already out of business, and there are liquidation companies doing the sales.

Circuit City was a terrible store and all my experiences there were bad. I just feel bad for all those people who lost their jobs.

i feel bad for them too but what can you do ya know ? 30,000+ more to add to the unemployment line i guess !

I feel sorry for all the novice computer and TV users who are about to be raped by Best Buy in the services department, because now they pretty much have a nationwide monolopy on it. I lol at the people who complained about our diagnostic being $70, because after Best Buy gets finished with them they're going to wish they only had to spend $70.

Unless Walmart gets into the services industry quickly I expect Best Buy to make alot of money this year.

and for those who still hadn't realized it by now, for the first month the liquidator managers and all the employees are basically going to say screw you. If you come in their and mention any kind of price deal, you're not getting it. I don't care if a laptop has a busted screen you're not going to get it. during the last 2-3 weeks of the sales that's when the liquidators are more likely to get deals if you buy alot. So if you said i'll buy these 3 tv's here what can you do for me, they'll be likely to help you out, but if you're like I want this one TV and $100 off help me out, they're not doing anything. Just because they are going out of business doesn't mean they have to give this stuff away from free and that's what alot of you seem to think. They can send defective items back to the vendor for credit before they give it away to you.

yes, agree with the above. there's a lot of people out there, and here it seems, that are like vultures, hovering over the carcass looking for a free meal. come on, a fixture in the retail landscape is going bust, an icon. like them or not, Circuit City have been a part of the psyche, you can't just sum it all up with "ooh where's the deals".

The device features an AMOLED touchscreen display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 that should offer improved scratch resistance and durability. The Charge 6 is equipped with a range of sensors including an optical heart rate sensor, a 3-axis accelerometer, built-in GPS with GLONASS support, red and infrared sensors for SpO2 monitoring, a skin temperature sensor, an ambient light sensor, a vibration motor, NFC, and multipurpose electrical sensors compatible with the ECG and EDA Scan apps. Furthermore, Bluetooth provides wireless connectivity for syncing and communication with devices running Apple iOS 16.4 or later and Android 11.0 or later. The tracker stores up to 7 days of minute-by-minute activity data and retains daily activity totals for the previous 30 days. In terms of water resistance, the Fitbit Charge 6 has a 5 ATM rating that should make it suitable for swimming and water activities. The tracker operates in temperatures ranging from 14°F to 113°F and at altitudes of up to 28,000 feet. Moreover, the included Infinity band is made from a flexible silicone material and features a loop-and-peg fastening. The small band fits wrists measuring 5.1 to 6.7 inches, while the large band fits wrists measuring 6.7 to 8.3 inches. Both small and large bands are included in the box. When it comes to battery performance, the Fitbit Charge 6 should deliver up to 7 days of battery life under typical usage conditions. Features such as the Always-On Display, built-in GPS, and SpO2 monitoring increase power consumption and may require more frequent charging. The rechargeable lithium-polymer battery should take approximately two hours to charge from empty to full. • TeraCopy 4.0 Build 28 by Razvan Serea TeraCopy is a compact program designed to copy and move files at the maximum possible speed, also providing you with a lot of features. Copy files faster. TeraCopy uses dynamically adjusted buffers to reduce seek times. Asynchronous copy speeds up file transfer between two physical hard drives. Pause and resume transfers. Pause copy process at any time to free up system resources and continue with a single click. Error recovery. In case of copy error, TeraCopy will try several times and in the worse case just skips the file, not terminating the entire transfer. Interactive file list. TeraCopy shows failed file transfers and lets you fix the problem and recopy only problem files. Shell integration. TeraCopy can completely replace Explorer copy and move functions, allowing you work with files as usual. TeraCopy is free for non-commercial use only. For commercial use you need to buy a license. The paid version of the program includes the following features: Copy/move to your favorite folders. Save reports as HTML and CSV files. Select files with the same extension/folder. Remove the selected files from the copy queue. Features added since version 3.17: Enhanced speed graph. New multi-threaded copy engine. Support for copying to multiple targets. Queue system for managing multiple copy operations. Support for receiving files via the LocalSend protocol. TeraCopy entry in the modern Windows Explorer context menu. Integrated toolbar in the title bar. Why receive LocalSend transfers with TeraCopy? Handle file conflicts: Skip, overwrite, or rename files when a file with the same name already exists. LocalSend always creates another copy, which can waste time and disk space, especially when resuming an interrupted transfer. Filter unwanted files: Apply ignore lists or remove files manually before accepting a transfer, so unnecessary files are not downloaded. Better performance on fast networks: In tests over a 10 Gbps connection, TeraCopy received files several times faster than the standard LocalSend app on Windows. TeraCopy 4.0 Build 28 changelog: Fixed a bug where Overwrite behaved as Overwrite All during same-drive move operations. AdvancedInstaller fixed the installer’s security vulnerability: EXE Bootstrapper resolved the %appdata% location incorrectly for the System account.
