Official 3DMark Scores Database

Recommended Posts

Noticed we don't have a thread for this yet, so post your 3DMark 2006/Vantage Scores!

This thread is not quite a "who can get the highest 3DMark score" thread, but rather a database where members can compare 3DMark Scores.

Requirements

1. Processor as well as speed. CPU-Z screenshot required.

2. Processor Heatsink/fan or Watercooling setup (if it applies).

3. Motherboard - Brand and model

4. RAM - How much RAM you have (Example: 1x4GB or 2x2GB), Speed of the RAM (The actual speed of the RAM NOT the effective speed so DDR2/3-XXXX with he XXXX divided by 2), Latencies, MODEL OF RAM AS WELL; FOR EXAMPLE: CORSAIR XMS2 DOMINATOR IS DIFFERENT FROM CORSAIR XMS2

CPU-Z Screenshot of the MEMORY tab

5. Video Card - Video card that you have as well as how much vRAM it has and overclocks that you have made on it. GPU-Z screenshot required.

GPU-Z can be downloaded at the following link: http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/1304/...U-Z_v0.3.1.html

Make sure you download the latest version - the link I've provided may be for an older version

6. Operating system, 32bit or 64bit.

7. 3DMark 2006 Score - Screenshot of your score required.

8. 3DMark Vantage Score - Screenshot of your score required.

For #5 and 6, If you are using the trial version to run these tests, follow Lyric's example

9. In your post, have the above information in the following format:

Neowin Username: shift.

CPU: CPU Model @ Clock Speed (FSB x Multiplier)

The above FSB value refers to the "Bus Speed" number in the CPU tab of CPU-Z; this is also known as BCLK for i5/i7 CPUs

Processor Heatsink/Fan or Watercooling Setup: Noctua NH-U12P w/ Noctua NF-P12 or Swiftech Apogee (For example)

Motherboard: Brand + Model Number

RAM: BRAND + MODEL, Volume (2x1GB or 2x2GB for example), Speed (how many MHz, so take DDR2/3-XXXX and divide the XXXX by 2), Latencies (tCAS-tRCD-tRP-tRAS format)

Video Card: Sapphire HD 4870 1GB @ Core Clock/Shader Clock/Memory Clock (if your card is not overclocked, just write stock)

Note: Currently, ATI cards have linked Core and Shader clocks. So for those with ATI cards your Shader clock will be left blank.

OS: Windows Vista Ultimate x86 for example.

3DMark 2006 Score: Just write your score, remember to provide screenshot.

3DMark Vantage Score: All tests will be run using the PERFORMANCE preset.

NOTES:: This is not a thread where you test your setup for the highest score. Do all your fine tuning first AND THEN post your final submission. If you happen to upgrade your system, feel free to make a new post with above information.

GUIDELINES:

1. System must be able to fully complete 3DMark Test

2. Those running Windows XP may post 3DMark 2006 score only.

3. Those using Vista please try to run both tests (2006 + Vantage) and put all information in one post.

4. Have all your GPU-Z and CPU-Z windows in one screenshot.

5. Fill in ALL appropriate information.

3DMark 2006 Settings to use:

Resolution: 1280x1024

AA: None

Texture Filtering: Optimal

VS Profile: 3_0

PS Profile: 3_0

But I don't want to buy 3DMark!

A free trial can be acquired here:

3DMark Vantage: http://service.futuremark.com/3dmvantage-trial.action

3DMark 2006: http://www.futuremark.com/benchmarks/3dmark06/download/

Some additional information:

The list will be arranged according to your motherboard model as well as the processor used. So everything will be arranged according to motherboard, and then further arranged according to your respective processor.

As well, for those running 64bit Vista and are getting the "Missing OpenAL32.dll" error when trying to run 3DMark2006 . I suggest you follow these steps:

1. Go to http://www.openal.org and download the installer binary.

2. Right click, go to properties, and run it in Windows XP SP2 compatibility mode.

*Caution* This will replace OpenAL32.dll in your Windows Directory.

3. Navigate to Windows/System32, and take the OpenAL32.dll file out of there and drop it into the 3DMark06 directory.

4. Disable compatibility mode on the installer, re-run it so it reinstalls the 64-bit version.

First i should probably point out: Those who use the free version cannot provide a screenshot of their score within the app itself, atleast not with '06(i can't speak for vantage). So you'll have to deal with test result links for those who aren't going to buy it.

Anyway, as for my less than amazing score:

Neowin Username: Blackhearted

CPU: Athlon 64 x2 4000+ @ 2825mhz

Processor Heatsink: Arctic Freezer 64 Pro

Motherboard: MSI K9N4 SLI

RAM: 2GB DDR2-800 @ ~807mhz 5-6-5-18

Video Card: PNY Geforce 9600GT 512MB @ 700/1750/925

OS: Windows XP Pro (32bit of course)

3DMark06 Score: 9137 - Link: http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=10045931

And Here's the cpu/gpu-z stuff:

That is exactly the page I am referring to, for those who have not bought the full version. :)

I've updated your two scores.

As well I've decided that the list will be arranged according to motherboard model and processor used.

Updated with Obi Wong's data.

@ Obi Wong: I assumed you were running 2x2GB. Care to confirm that it's not 1x4GB or 4x1GB?

I'll have to submit 2 screenshots.

Neowin Username: DigitalManifestations

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad @ 3.0GHz (333 x 9)

Processor Heatsink/Fan Setup:Stock Intel cooling

Motherboard:Gigabyte EP45-UD3LR

RAM: 2X2GB DDR2-800 4-4-4-15

OS: Windows Vista Ultimate x64

3DMark 2006 Score:14479

3DMark Vantage Score:P8668

If cpuz is reporting 333x6 in one of the screenshots it's because of speedstep being enabled.

For the record, I'm posting the 3DMark Vantage results based off of "performance" as I'm unable to choose any other setting.

Are you able to run your test on HIGH? Cause that is the requirement unless for some reason you're not able to run it on High. As well what is the specific model of your RAM?

Send me a PM, thanks :)

Important for anyone posting in the future to make sure you run your test on HIGH, include volume of RAM (how many sticks and of what volume), the NAME and BRAND of your RAM.

The exception would be Lyric who is going to redo his 3DMark Vantage test after his video card arrives, and DigitalManifestation whom cannot run the High test.

That means your test wasn't fully properly completed. Try performing it again. I'll only update your entry when you actually have a score.

Ok, I can't do it on high, i get no score otherwise, I think my 8800GTS G80 is what's limiting me. I might get a 4800 series sometime soon.

Wait, so basically, people could do a low-settings run and claim to score to be on high settings?

yeah, you could... There may be a way to check, but I don't know, Shift?

No you can't. The letter before your score indicates the preset you used. E for extreme, H for high, P for performance. So far I'll only be taking P and H scores.

Will think about a section for laptops, not sure how much value you'd get out of a database for that.

Nice to finally see someone with the same GPU as me Tel...But your score is higher dammit :p.

In regards to people lying, your score has a letter indicating what it was run at - High, performance, etc. Are people using the trial version limited to performance?

Edit: Damn you Shift. That's what I get for leaving my post field blank for a few minutes while I got side tracked :p.
