~ Rogue ~
I take no chances. This is an example of my computer chair. Of course, mine is more kick-ass. But you get the general idea. --- Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/738054-be-afraid-of-your-chair-yes-your-chair/page/3/#findComment-590664782 Share on other sites
Neoauld
i dont get how this is possible theres not enough pressure to lift someone, but enough to blow through the chair material? either way, it might be simpler just to not sit cirrectly, lean on a cheek and slide a bit to one side, that way it doesnt have a clear path to your insides, and will hit the cheek/bones in there(pretty sure theres bones inthere) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/738054-be-afraid-of-your-chair-yes-your-chair/page/3/#findComment-591649476 Share on other sites
Berserk87
the amount of air pressure in the cylinder is enough to hold most people. thats at least 250 pounds of air pressure/debris getting blasted into you. ajua
I always tilt back on mine. I'm worried now that I read this story. I have even had sex a few times on this kind of chairs before  Hopefully it is fake. I don't know much about hydraulic or pneumatic systems but this seems too much of an explosion for a gas cylinder like the one those chairs are carrying. Old thread is old. the thread being old is completely irrelevant. would you rather Neoauld start a new thread and link to this one? powerade01
how do i know if i have the gas one or the hydro one???????????please tell me before my ass expands :( It really would suck to die that way, being violated by your chair.  Now that I've had some time to think it over I wouldn't be too worried since this is incredibly fake. First there is no way there's enough pressure in those cylinders to explode like that. They won't even raise the chair if a person is sitting on it. Second the damage is obviously not caused by the cylinder exploding, someone just cut the fabric and ripped out the padding. There is no damage at all to the bottom of the chair. Finally I don't know if anyone mentioned it or not, but there's not a drop of blood anywhere. Oh and the story conveniently takes place in China, making it very difficult to get any actual facts. So relax, this is nothing more than Snopes fodder. ;) +1 I agree. It took over an hour to get him to a hospital? Something doesn't seem right there. When I got hit by a car on my bike and wasn't even hurt at all, an ambulance was there within 5 minutes... You live in in your town this guy lives in a city. It is normal. It's not fake, I've seen these things blow.However. Old thread is old. I think it is indeed fake. Read the posts above me. The Rev
Wow... talk about resurrecting a dead thread. :p Crazy story... Tho I'm not gonna stop using those chairs just because of a fluke. FloatingFatMan
I think it is indeed fake. Read the posts above me. Yes? So? Your thoughts don't concern me. Read MY post again. I have actually seen these things rupture, in person. The guy wasn't hurt luckily, but his chair was a mess. Fourjays Veteran Posted October 7, 2009 Veteran Share Posted October 7, 2009 I also think it could be fake. In the first picture, you can see the plastic cover that goes over the cylinder. Shouldn't it be blasted to bits? If it is real though... ouch.
