Windows Update Error Code 8000FFFF on Windows 7 beta

You should try out the Windows Update troubleshooter. Click on the action center(flag) in the task tray and choose to open it. Next, click on 'Troubleshooting' then click on 'Fix problems with Windows Update'.

Thanks for your help, guys. I'd already googled it and tried a couple of options including Microsofts own 'Fix it' but no joy. I've just tried the Windows 7 troubleshooter too and alas that failed too.

I too have this problem, and have only found solutions for XP and Vista, but NONE for Win7.

I've even googled it extensively... Suffice to say, no fixes have turned up, the same goes for using the Win7 trouble shooter.

Annoyingly, I only installed Win7 yesterday, this is my second install of it (separate machines).

Grrr

As of 17 february I can't install / check for any updates....

I don't have any KB929777 update installed.. Those forums all refer to windows vista not 7
