leo_the_lion
I was able to check for updates on Windows 7 up until 16th February but since then I keep getting an error code 8000FFFF. Anyone got any ideas?

xJakex
You should try out the Windows Update troubleshooter. Click on the action center(flag) in the task tray and choose to open it. Next, click on 'Troubleshooting' then click on 'Fix problems with Windows Update'.
leo_the_lion
Thanks for your help, guys. I'd already googled it and tried a couple of options including Microsofts own 'Fix it' but no joy. I've just tried the Windows 7 troubleshooter too and alas that failed too. Stew Gilray
I too have this problem, and have only found solutions for XP and Vista, but NONE for Win7. I've even googled it extensively... Suffice to say, no fixes have turned up, the same goes for using the Win7 trouble shooter. Annoyingly, I only installed Win7 yesterday, this is my second install of it (separate machines).
