[UK] Inbetweeners

It's a shame there are only 6 episodes. Are they played weekly? I mean it's so weird to have such a short season. I guess with our American shows we have so many episodes but quality varies greatly.

Most comedy programs over here in the UK are 6 episodes long.

The reason why a series is normally 6 episodes is because things are expensive! The bigger shows like Shameless and Skins have more writers and more money, but sometime that shows in the quality of the story. You look around, most series started with 6 episodes then went on to something higher because of it's success.

Shameless started with 7 and this current series is something like 16! next series is only going to be about 8 though.

TV is expensive, which why we end up with stupid celeb and some stupid throw your body about shows, because they they pull in the viewers and the cost is cheaper, which is a bit sad really because those sort of shows are brain dead.

By the way people, we are in the UK it's called a series, if you call it a season I'll hunt you down and slap you.

Just seen the advert again! Going to be amazing, a programme that can actually relate to life.

ahahaha, after reading this thread I just watched the entire first series today :p Reminds me in a way of how 6th form was - funniest bit was "Friend, footballfriend! Carfriend!" We used to take the **** out of each other just like that and go to Thorpe park every couple of months once we had just learned to drive.

Great that the 2nd series is just weeks away. (Y)

I like having only 6 episodes in the UK. It stops writers from milking jokes, like American comedies do a little. It stops catchphrases developing too quickly also.

I'm looking forward to the next series. After this thread started I watched them all through. I've been away for a year, and I never watch TV (on a TV), so I would have missed this completely if not for this thread. I'm not sure if that's sad or not. :p
